Solve the ice door puzzle and enter the temple for the first time
Lin Yu stood before the ice gate, his brow furrowed in knots, his mind absorbed in searching the depths of his memory for the intricate connections between the runes on the boulder and those on the ice gate. In his mind, the twisted, strange symbols on the boulder, as if from an ancient, mysterious civilization, flashed through his mind like a revolving lantern, comparing them one by one with the runes on the ice gate, which shimmered faintly and exuded a subtle, eerie aura. The team members gathered tightly behind him, like a group of travelers lost in the darkness, not daring to breathe, their eyes fixed on him nervously, filled with anticipation and worry, as if his every move depended on their survival.
"Captain, how's it going? Can you find a way to open this door?" a team member asked softly, unable to contain his inner tension. The voice was remarkably clear in the near-deathly silent ice track, yet it trembled with a subtle tremor of fear, like a leaf shivering in the cold wind. Lin Yu didn't respond immediately. He seemed trapped in a world of his own, muttering to himself, "The curves here seem similar to those on the boulder, but where is the crucial connection point..." At this moment, he was like a persistent puzzle solver, searching for the key to the exit in a mysterious maze. Every rune was a crucial clue to the puzzle, and he couldn't miss a single clue.
Suddenly, Lin Yu's eyes lit up, as if he had caught a fleeting glimmer of light amidst the endless darkness. He suddenly realized that the arrangement of the runes on the Ice Gate wasn't random, but rather seemed to follow a cyclical pattern. The runes on the megalith were like a precise key, guiding the beginning of this mysterious cycle. He took a deep breath, his chest heaving violently, his heart churning with excitement and nervousness. He was excited because after so much thought, he might finally have found a way to open the Ice Gate. He was nervous because all this was just speculation. If he misjudged it, who knew what terrible dangers might arise.
"Everyone stand back. I'm going to touch the runes in the order I've determined. It could be dangerous." Lin Yu tried to sound steady and calm, but the slight tremor at the end betrayed his deepest anxiety. The team members, like startled birds, quickly retreated, their eyes fixed on the ice gate, as if it would unleash devastating flames at any moment. Lin Yu slowly extended his hand, trembling slightly, whether from the cold or from nervousness. As his fingers touched the first rune, a bone-chilling chill, like that of the Netherworld, instantly spread through his body like an electric current, nearly numb to the cold. But he gritted his teeth, resisting the piercing chill, and touched the runes one by one, following the sequence he had already constructed in his mind. With each rune, his heart felt as if an invisible hand were tightening, as if he were facing annihilation in the next moment.
As the last rune was firmly pressed, the ice door emitted a low, muffled roar, as if a giant beast, slumbering for millennia, had suddenly awakened. Then, the runes shone brightly, a light so intense it felt like the sun suddenly descending upon the icy landscape, stinging everyone's eyes. They quickly shielded their eyes, peering nervously through the cracks between their fingers to see what was happening. Only when the light faded slightly did they dare to slowly open their eyes. The ice door slowly opened with a roar, and a stale, mysterious aura filled the air. It was tinged with a bone-chilling chill, as if carrying the vicissitudes of time and the coldness of ancient times. Everyone shuddered, as if invisible hands were gently caressing them from behind, a chilling feeling that sent a chill through them.
"Finally opened..." a team member muttered quietly, his voice a mixture of relief at having survived a catastrophe and fear of the unknown. Lin Yu took a deep breath, suppressing his inner nervousness and uneasiness, and was the first to step through the ice door. His steps were steady and firm, yet cautious, as if every step might trigger a hidden mechanism. The team members followed closely behind him, like a group of warriors following their leader through an unknown and dangerous place, their eyes revealing determination and resolve, but also a hint of fear.
Behind the doorway stretched a long corridor of ice, like a giant dragon slumbering in a world of ice and snow. The walls on either side were inlaid with shimmering crystals. These crystals seemed alive, shimmering with a mysterious and soft light, illuminating the corridor with shadows, as if transported to a dreamlike yet dangerous world. At the end of the corridor, a larger door loomed, seemingly carved with a vast and mysterious image. However, due to the distance, the details were difficult to discern. One could only vaguely sense the image's awe-inspiring power, as if it told an ancient tale spanning time and space.
"This place feels very ancient. I wonder what's behind the door," Lin Yu said in a low voice as he slowly moved forward. His eyes scanned the surroundings like a falcon, not missing a single tiny corner. Every ice ridge and crystal seemed to conceal endless danger. At this moment, his heart was extremely vigilant, as if he had stepped into a cursed forbidden land, where he could be attacked at any moment.
The team members cautiously advanced along the ice corridor, each step feeling like treading on thin ice. Their footsteps echoed across the smooth surface, a crisp, ethereal sound that seemed strangely abrupt in the silence of the corridor, as if breaking some taboo. Suddenly, without warning, the crystal light on either side of the corridor flickered, its soft glow becoming eerie and glaring. Then, countless sharp icy spikes slowly emerged from the ice wall. Like the Grim Reaper's scythe, these spikes flashed with a chilling light and stabbed fiercely at the team members.
