Between fierce exchanges with the shadowy figure, Lin Yu's gaze was fixed eagerly on the symbols on the rock. They seemed like mystical incantations from an ancient time, their lines twisted and eerie, as if possessing a life of their own. Under the faint light of the key, they shimmered with an enigmatic luster, as if telling a hidden secret. His mind raced like a high-speed engine, frantically searching the depths of his memory for information related to the symbols. Similar symbols he had seen before, in the crystal disc's information stream and elsewhere, flashed through his mind like a slideshow, trying to find the key to solving the mystery within this complex jigsaw puzzle.
"Everyone, hold on! I'll see if I can decipher these symbols!" Lin Yu shouted at the top of his lungs. His voice was faint in the roaring and clashing of weapons, but the unwavering faith within it pierced the darkness like a ray of light. The team members heard him and responded in unison, their voices hoarse with exhaustion and fear, yet still filled with power. They knew that Lin Yu's discovery might be their only hope of survival. They gritted their teeth and fought even harder against the shadowy figure, buying precious time for Lin Yu to decipher the code.
Lin Yu's thoughts raced like a wild horse, crisscrossing a sea of symbols. He meticulously compared the symbols in his memory with those before him, his eyes fixed on the lines and patterns, as if trying to penetrate them. Gradually, he realized that these symbols seemed to be ancient and mysterious indicators, and their unique arrangement was likely inextricably linked to the hidden structure of the passage. After racking his brains, he boldly speculated that these symbols might hint at how to subtly alter the existing structure of the passage, thereby helping them escape the shadowy shadow that was following them so closely.
Thinking of this, Lin Yu knew he had an opportunity and decided to take a chance. His eyes quickly locked onto an arrow-like symbol on the rock. He took a deep breath, forced himself to calm down, and carefully examined the symbols once more. Finally, he discovered some extremely tiny lines next to the arrow symbol. These lines were faintly visible, as if they were a deliberately hidden code. Perhaps this was the key to solving the mystery! "Wait, strike again along these lines!" Lin Yu shouted hurriedly, his voice filled with unmistakable urgency. The team members understood and immediately followed his instructions, swinging their weapons and striking the rock again along the subtle lines.
This time, with the rhythmic blows of the weapons, something magical happened. The rock began to tremble slightly, initially just a slight vibration, like a sleeping giant turning over. Then, the vibrations grew stronger, and a secret door slowly opened on one side of the passage. A soft and warm light poured out from the secret door, a light like the warm spring sun, forming a stark and shocking contrast with the evil aura emanating from the shadows, as if a fierce collision of light and darkness. "Hurry, run to the secret door!" Lin Yu shouted at the top of his lungs, his voice filled with excitement and eagerness. Under his command, the team members struggled to move towards the secret door while doing their utmost to resist the shadows' surging attacks.
However, the black shadows seemed to have sensed the intention of everyone to escape, and attacked more frantically. A black shadow spotted the flaw revealed by a team member when he was resisting the other black shadows, and pounced on him like a black lightning. The powerful impact directly knocked the team member to the ground. Lin Yu caught a glimpse of this scene from the corner of his eye, and rushed towards the team member desperately. He raised the glowing key in his hand, and the light was like a sword in the darkness, forcing back the black shadow that tried to continue attacking. Then, he quickly helped the team member up, his eyes full of concern and determination, and encouraged loudly: "Don't give up, we are about to succeed!"
With everyone's tenacious resistance and concerted efforts, they finally succeeded in entering the secret door. As soon as Lin Yu entered, he quickly turned, his eyes like a hawk, searching the inside of the secret door for the mechanism that would close it. Soon, he spotted a pattern on the inside that resembled the symbol on the outside. Without a second thought, he reached out and pressed it hard. The secret door slowly closed with a dull sound, isolating the ferocious shadows outside. Everyone collapsed to the ground with a feeling of relief, gasping for breath, as if releasing the fear and exhaustion they had accumulated along the way.
After a short rest, Lin Yu, suppressing his fatigue, slowly stood up and began to survey his surroundings. They were in a circular stone chamber, the walls of which resembled a vast, mysterious scroll, engraved with all sorts of bizarre patterns. There were brilliant stars, their arrangement seemingly concealing the mysteries of the universe; there were creatures of all shapes and sizes, some resembling dragons but not dragons, some resembling phoenixes but not phoenixes, as if they came from a fantastical otherworld; there were also incomprehensible symbols, interwoven into an intricate puzzle. In the center of the chamber stood a stone table, simple and heavy, as if bearing the vicissitudes of time. On the table lay an ancient book emitting a faint glow, a light like the flickering of fireflies, appearing particularly mysterious in this slightly dimmed chamber.
