Fierce battle in the channel, mysterious help
In the corridor, the heavy footsteps pounded like hammers, hammering down upon everyone's heart, each one threatening to shatter. Lin Yu's nerves tensed like a drawn bowstring. He quickly stood up, his eyes sharp as an eagle's, signaling his team to prepare for battle. His gaze revealed an unwavering determination and vigilance. Despite the unknown horrors that lay ahead, he had vowed to protect his team members, even at the cost of his own life.
"Don't be afraid, everyone. No matter what comes, we'll face it together!" Lin Yu said in a low voice. Though his voice was soft, it seemed to contain a tremendous force, like a shot of adrenaline, instantly injecting the team members' bodies. Upon hearing this, the team members clenched their weapons, their knuckles turning white from the effort. They slowly stood up and tightly surrounded Lin Yu, forming a tight and seamless defensive circle. Although fear was inevitable in their eyes - after all, no one knew what kind of monster they would face, it was more of an unwavering trust in Lin Yu and a resolute determination to fight alongside him.
As the footsteps drew nearer, the sound threatened to crack the walls of the passage. A massive figure finally appeared at the end of the passage, slowly emerging like a moving hill. It was a monster the size of a bear, its body covered in thick black scales, each one as if wrought from steel. In the dim, almost deathly light, it gleamed with a cold, eerie luster, like armor from hell. Its eyes, like two emerald lanterns, radiated a captivating, eerie light, as if it could penetrate the fear within them. A massive maw gaped, its fangs sharp as daggers, gleaming coldly in the darkness, as if a single snap could easily shatter steel and tear them to shreds.
"What kind of monster is this!" One of the team members finally couldn't help but exclaim in a low voice, his voice trembling with fear, standing out in the silent passage. Lin Yu stared at the monster, his heart pounding in his chest, but his mind was racing, rapidly thinking of a response. The monster before him looked extremely powerful, exuding a terrifying aura. If they fought head-on, their chances of victory would be slim. They had to find its weakness.
The monster, sensing the hostility of the group, launched its first attack. Like black lightning, it hurtled towards one of the team members, swiftly leaving them barely enough time to react. Its massive claws, raised high, slammed down on the team member with immense force. The team member felt a powerful gust of wind bearing down on him. He quickly raised his weapon to block the blow, but with a crack, like a bolt from the blue, the weapon snapped in two under the monster's immense force. The team member was also sent flying by the overwhelming force, slamming heavily against the wall of the passage like a kite with its string cut. He groaned in pain, and a mouthful of blood spurted from his mouth.
"Attack its eyes!" Lin Yu was so anxious when he saw this that he shouted and rushed towards the monster without hesitation. He raised the sword in his hand high, and the sword flashed with cold light, like a meteor, piercing the monster's eyes. The monster seemed to sense the danger, and its huge head tilted slightly, easily dodging Lin Yu's attack. Then, it opened its bloody mouth, like a black hole that swallowed everything, and bit towards Lin Yu fiercely. Lin Yu's heart tightened, and he dodged to the side suddenly. The monster's teeth scraped against his clothes, bringing a gust of cold wind, making him sweat on his back.
Seeing this, the other team members gathered around and attacked the monster from different directions. However, the monster's scales were incredibly tough, and the team members' weapons only left shallow marks on them, as if scratching it. The monster seemed enraged by the weak attacks and let out a deafening roar, a roar like the roar of the Netherworld, echoing wildly through the passage, piercing everyone's eardrums and threatening to shake their souls out of their bodies. Then, it began to wave its claws wildly, rampaging through the passage like a mad beast, trying to knock the team members to the ground.
Lin Yu nimbly dodged the monster's attacks while carefully observing its movements. He discovered that despite its terrifying strength, the monster's turning speed was relatively slow, requiring a brief pause between each turn. "Everyone, pay attention! It's slow to turn. Let's use this to distract it and attack it one by one!" Lin Yu shouted at the top of his lungs, his voice resounding louder in the noisy environment.
Following Lin Yu's instructions, the team members began to maneuver flexibly around the monster. One team member cautiously approached from behind, deliberately making noises to attract its attention. As the monster angrily turned to attack him, Lin Yu seized the opportunity, swiftly rushed forward, and stabbed the monster's leg joint with his sword. The monster roared in pain, its massive body trembling violently as it attempted to strike Lin Yu. But just then, another team member attacked from the side, stabbing it in the eye, forcing the monster to shift its target.
Just as the two sides were locked in a stalemate, a strange whistling sound suddenly emanated from the passage. The sound was sharp and piercing, like a warning from another world. Everyone was startled, wondering what new danger was about to strike. In this atmosphere filled with unknown fear, every slightest sound instantly strained their nerves to the limit.
However, to their surprise, a nimble black panther suddenly emerged from the shadows at the side of the passage, its speed as swift as black lightning. The panther's form was graceful and agile, and like a dark shadow, it instantly pounced on the monster. Its eyes gleamed with a sharp and ferocious light, and its claws, sharp as knives, gleamed coldly in the dim light.
