Chapter 362: Ancient Book Puzzle, Key to the Final Chapter

Ancient Book Puzzle, Key to the Final Chapter

Lin Yu and his team members, filled with a mixture of nervous anticipation, slowly approached the softly glowing book. Their steps were slow and cautious, as if they were walking on thin ice, fearful of disturbing some unknown yet powerful force hidden within this mysterious space. The book was like a mysterious light source, its shimmering light reflecting off the surrounding gemstones, creating a dazzling array of light and shadows, yet subtly eerie, as if telling an ancient, untold story.

"This book doesn't look simple. It might actually contain the key to the key," Lin Yu said in a low voice, his eyes fixed on the book, filled with the desire and persistence of exploration. The team members gathered around him like close-knit comrades, also staring at the book intently. Each of them felt like a little rabbit in their hearts, and the mixture of tension and anticipation made their breathing unconsciously become rapid.

When Lin Yu finally reached out and his fingertips touched the book, a faint yet palpable electric current, like a cold snake, quickly spread through his body along his arm, sending a chill through him. He took a deep breath, trying to calm the sudden throbbing in his heart, and slowly turned the page. However, the words on the page were not in any language they were familiar with. The characters twisted and twisted, as if they had a life of their own, moving eerily across the paper, as if deliberately resisting being deciphered.

"What kind of writing is this? I can't make any sense of it!" one team member blurted out anxiously, his brow furrowed tightly together, as if he could pinch a fly to death, his face filled with helplessness and confusion. Lin Yu was also lost in thought, his mind racing like a high-speed machine, frantically recalling the various symbols he had seen on past adventures, trying to dig out from the depths of his memory any clue that might even solve the mystery.

Just as everyone was at a loss, seemingly lost in endless darkness, a flash of inspiration struck Lin Yu. He remembered a stone tablet with similar symbols they had found in a mysterious ruin they had previously explored. Using a special crystal, they had successfully deciphered some of the information on the tablet.

"Everyone, look around this room. Is there anything resembling crystal? Maybe we can decipher these words," Lin Yu said eagerly, his voice tinged with excitement and anticipation. Upon hearing this, the team members immediately spread out like well-trained hounds, meticulously searching every corner of the room. Their eyes were filled with hope, and they left no stone unturned, searching for any potential hidden crystal.

After a thorough search, one of the team members was pleasantly surprised to discover a crystal emitting a pale blue light in a dark corner of the room. He excitedly shouted, "Captain, there's a crystal!" Lin Yu hurried over and took the crystal from the team member. He carefully placed the crystal on top of the book, silently praying for a miracle.

At that moment, a magical thing happened. Through the crystal, the words on the page, which had been twisting and moving, gradually became clear. Lin Yu stared at the page, reading word by word: "To obtain the key to the final chapter, you must find three items: the first is the Crystal of Fire, hidden in the Chamber of Blazing Flames; the second is the Core of Ice, hidden in the Abyss of Extreme Cold; and the third is the Marrow of Thunder, hidden in the Hall of Thunder. Only by gathering all three items can you open the path to the key."

After hearing this, everyone felt a mixture of emotions: excitement at finally getting a clear clue about the key, yet also anxiety at knowing that the search for the three objects would be fraught with difficulties and dangers. It was like seeing a ray of light in the darkness, but at the same time realizing that behind this light lay a thick fog and danger.

"No matter how difficult it is, we must find these three items and obtain the key," Lin Yu declared firmly, his eyes gleaming with unwavering determination, as if ignited by an inextinguishable flame. The team members nodded vigorously. After enduring so many life-or-death trials, they, like Lin Yu, possessed an unwavering faith. At this moment, they felt like a closely connected community with a shared destiny. No matter what lay ahead, they would never retreat.

Following the guidance of the ancient text, they first arrived at the entrance to the fiery chamber. The chamber's door was tightly closed, and a stream of blazing air surged out from the crack, hitting them in the face. It felt as if they were standing in the crater of a volcano about to erupt. The heat wave was so intense that it seemed to reduce everything around them to ash.

"It's going to be incredibly hot in this chamber. Everyone, check your protective gear," Lin Yu declared loudly. His voice was a little muffled by the heat, but every word was tinged with seriousness and caution. The team members immediately began carefully checking their gear, ensuring every piece of protection could withstand the terrifying heat. Their expressions were solemn, knowing full well that they were about to face a severe test.

The moment they pushed open the chamber's door with a united effort, a wave of heat washed over them like an invisible giant hand, threatening to engulf them in an instant. The chamber was a raging sea of fire, with crimson lava flowing freely across the floor like angry serpents. The blazing flames furiously licked the walls, making a whirring sound like the roar of a demon. In the center of the chamber, an ancient stone platform rested upon it, a crystal emitting a dazzling red glow, as brilliant as blood. This must be the Flame Crystal they had so desperately sought.

However, obtaining the Flame Crystal was no easy task. A massive fire lizard stood guard beside the stone platform, its entire body ablaze with flames, dancing wildly across its body as if it were the embodiment of fire. Its eyes gleamed with a fierce, blazing light, like two flaming balls of fire. Sensing the intruder, it opened its bloody maw and unleashed a deafening roar. The roar echoed through the chamber, piercing everyone's eardrums and threatening to shake their very souls from their bodies.
