Chapter 370: The Fog of the Abyss: The Return of the Unknown Shadow

Misty Abyss: Return of the Unknown Shadow (Final Chapter)

Lin Yu charged towards the glowing symbol on the shadow's abdomen. The shadow, sensing his intention, frantically waved its claws to block his advance. Its sharp claws streaked through the mist, like blades, slicing the mist into shreds wherever it passed. Lin Yu dodged left and right, but several bloody scratches remained on his body. Blood soaked through his clothes, emitting a faint, fishy smell in the mist.

But he didn't flinch at all, his eyes fixed on the mysterious symbol, his eyes full of determination. In the gap between the black shadow's attacks, Lin Yu seized the opportunity and leaped with all his strength. After jumping high, he gripped the sword with both hands and stabbed the symbol on the black shadow's abdomen with all his strength.

With a "puff," the sword pierced the shadow's abdomen, and a thick black liquid gushed out, splashing onto Lin Yu, emitting a sickening stench. The shadow let out a deafening scream, the sound echoing in the mist, as if to shatter the entire space. Its body trembled violently, and its huge claws waved wildly, stirring the mist like a surging black wave.

As Lin Yu thrust his sword deeper into the body, the mysterious symbol shone brightly, and it seemed as if a force was being rapidly drained from the black shadow. Its form began to become illusory, its originally huge body gradually shrinking, and its bloodthirsty eyes gradually dimmed.

Outside the fog, the team members who had been battling the black claws suddenly noticed that their movements had slowed and their strength had diminished. Zhao Gang, seizing the opportunity, shouted, "Brothers, their strength is weakening! Push harder!" The team members' morale soared, and they all used their remaining strength to attack the claws.

Li Qiang wielded his heavy axe with desperation, striking down one claw with a single blow. This time, it severed, and black liquid again oozed from the broken end. Wang Hu slammed his shield into the other claw, and as it retracted, Zhao Gang swiftly struck with his sword, severing another. With the team's concerted attack, the black claws were annihilated one by one.

Lin Yu, trapped in the mist, felt the shadow's struggles grow weaker. He gritted his teeth and thrust his sword deeper. As the shadow's power gradually dissipated, the thick fog around him began to thin out. When the last wisp of mist dissipated and sunlight once again shone on the area, the shadow had vanished, leaving Lin Yu standing wearily, his sword still dripping with black liquid.

The team members gathered around and looked at the wounds on Lin Yu's body with worried faces. "Captain, how are you?" Li Qiang asked anxiously. Lin Yu smiled weakly, "I'm fine, as long as everyone is fine."

Everyone looked around and discovered that the tunnel walls, once covered in mysterious symbols, had vanished, as if they had never been there. Lin Yu knew that while the crisis had been temporarily resolved, the mystery behind it deepened. "Although we were lucky enough to win this time, we still don't know the extent of the forces behind this. We must report this situation so that more people can investigate." Lin Yu said solemnly, gazing at the empty tunnel.

The team members nodded in agreement. After this life-or-death battle, their camaraderie had deepened, and their vigilance against unknown dangers had intensified. Gathering their gear and supporting the injured, they set out on their return journey. The setting sun cast long shadows over them, as if narrating this thrilling adventure... and they knew that the future held even more unknown challenges and mysteries.
