A dark shadow emerged from the darkness and pounced towards them. The shadow was extremely fast, bringing with it a gust of wind. Lin Yu only felt a powerful force rushing towards him, and he subconsciously dodged to the side. The shadow flew past his body and hit the wall next to him with a dull thud. Lin Yu quickly took out the special flashlight he carried with him and turned it on. The strong light illuminated the surroundings. The shadow was agile, like a giant black bat, but with human limbs. Its eyes flashed green, and its sharp claws gleamed coldly under the light.
Xiao Zhao was the first to react. He quickly drew his weapon from his waist and rushed toward the shadow. The shadow let out a sharp cry, so piercing it that it seemed to pierce their eardrums. It flapped its wings, sending a strong gust of wind toward Xiao Zhao. He staggered and nearly fell. Old Chen and Professor Li were also busy. They quickly chanted a spell, and glowing symbols appeared in their hands, which they threw toward the shadow. The symbols burned in mid-air, emitting a dazzling light. The shadow seemed to be afraid of the light and temporarily retreated to the side.
Lin Yu shouted, "Everyone, be careful! This thing is tough to deal with. We need to work together to find its weakness." A dark shadow circled nearby, growling softly, as if searching for another opportunity to attack. Its eyes were filled with hostility and ferocity as it stared intently at Lin Yu and the others, as if waiting for them to reveal a flaw. Lin Yu pondered, "This dark shadow is likely the evil being guarding this box. We need to find a way to circumvent it, open the box, and see what's inside. But before that, we must defeat it first."
