749 Bureau: Exploring the Wild Man of Shennongjia
After Lin Yu and his team successfully resolved the mental hospital's barrier incident, they barely had time to rest before a new mystery unfolded at Bureau 749. Recent reports of sightings of wild men in the Shennongjia region had stirred ripples within the bureau, like a pebble dropped into a calm lake. Local residents swore by sightings of tall, hairy creatures stalking the mountains and forests. Some even produced grainy footage, but the hazy, yet inscrutable outlines of the creatures evoked a compelling narrative. These reports alerted Bureau 749, and the director, acutely aware of the possibility of paranormal connections, immediately ordered Lin Yu and his team to Shennongjia for an in-depth investigation.
Lin Yu, Lao Chen, Professor Li, and Xiao Zhao quickly packed their gear and set off for Shennongjia. As they entered this mysterious forest, it felt like stepping into a world forgotten by time, a pristine and profound atmosphere instantly enveloping them. Tall trees blocked out the sun, and the sun, like a playful elf, could only filter through the layers of branches, casting scattered specks of light on the ground, painting a dappled landscape and making the forest interior appear particularly dim. A damp mist filled the air, gently enveloping everything like a veil, mingling with the rich fragrance of plants and trees. In an open area, they saw a tall figure flash by the edge of the woods in the moonlight.
