Lin Yu looked at these lines, and a strong ominous premonition surged in his heart, as if a pair of invisible eyes were spying on their every move through these lines: "No matter what these lines mean, there must be a major secret hidden in the cave that is enough to subvert our cognition. Let's go in and take a look, but we must be extremely careful. Every step may be a test of life and death." After speaking, he took a deep breath and stepped into the cave first. His resolute back seemed to be declaring a challenge to the unknown fear.
The cave was filled with a pungent odor, a nauseating stench like a mixture of decay and sulfur. It felt tangible, weighing heavily on everyone's hearts, making it difficult to breathe. The cavern's interior was vast beyond imagination, like a dark underground palace with no end in sight. Tiny flickers of light shone on the surrounding walls, as if countless pairs of eyes hidden in the darkness were coldly observing their every move. It made them feel uneasy and covered in goosebumps.
They advanced cautiously, each step weighing on their own heartbeats. The tense atmosphere enveloped them like an invisible net. Suddenly, a massive stone platform appeared before them. Crafted from an unknown black stone, its surface was mirror-smooth yet tinged with a bone-chilling chill. Strange artifacts lay on the platform, including bizarrely shaped statues, their faces distorted beyond all recognition, as if in endless agony. Their features were misaligned, their eyes wide open, their mouths gaping as if in silent screams. There were also stone slabs inscribed with runes, each glowing with a faint, eerie light, as if telling an ancient, sinister tale. Each rune was like a mysterious spell, poised to unleash terrifying power.
Professor Li walked forward quickly, his eyes gleaming with a frenzied curiosity. He squatted down and carefully examined the artifacts, his brow furrowed in the shape of a deep "chuan" character. "The style and craftsmanship of these artifacts are extremely unique. Judging from the materials and carving techniques, they must have an unimaginably long history. But I've consulted all known civilizations and can't determine exactly which civilization they came from. This is truly strange. Could this be a completely new civilization, never discovered by humans? If so, why would this civilization leave behind these mysterious artifacts in a cave deep in the mountains and valleys?"
At that moment, another roar erupted from the depths of the cave, this time louder and clearer than before, as if roaring right beside one's ear. Simultaneously, the ground began to shake violently, as if an earthquake had struck. Debris fell from the cave ceiling, crashing to the ground with a sharp and dangerous sound. Lin Yu shouted, his voice echoing through the cave: "Everyone, prepare for battle! No matter what comes, we must face it bravely! Old Chen, use your spells to disrupt its movements; Xiao Zhao, look for opportunities to attack its weaknesses; Professor Li, prepare your spells and provide support at any time!" His eyes revealed determination and courage, as if declaring war on the unknown fear.
Old Chen quickly pulled several talismans from his pocket. His hands trembled slightly, but his eyes remained resolute. He muttered something in a low, obscure voice, as if conversing with an ancient, mysterious power. The talismans instantly ignited in the air, emitting a dazzling light, transforming into streams of golden light that flew in the direction of the sound. Xiao Zhao, gripping his weapon tightly, crouched slightly like a cheetah poised for action, his eyes a glint of nervousness and excitement. His heartbeat pounded, his blood coursed rapidly through his veins, and the surge of adrenaline filled him with strength and courage.
With the sound of heavy, slow footsteps, a massive figure slowly emerged from the darkness. Over three meters tall, like a moving mountain, its body covered in black scales that shimmered eerily in the light, as if each contained a mysterious power. Its head resembled a crocodile, but it bore a pair of massive, twisted horns, like sharp scimitars, emitting a cold, metallic sheen. Its eyes, the size of lanterns, gleamed with a bloodthirsty red, like two burning flames, gazing greedily at its prey. Its maw opened wide, revealing a dense, dense mass of sharp fangs, each as long as a dagger and emitting a chilling gleam. It let out a deafening roar, and a thick, fishy steed filled the air, nearly suffocating.
Lin Yu's heart tightened, and he thought to himself: "What kind of monster is this? It looks so powerful and evil. We must deal with it carefully. If we are not careful, the whole army may be wiped out. But I must not retreat. I am the captain and I must lead everyone through this difficult time." He shouted to the team members: "Everyone listen to my command, don't panic! Keep your distance and look for its flaws!"
The talisman Old Chen flung flew toward the monster like a golden meteor. The creature, sensing the threat, furiously lashed its thick tail like a massive steel whip, sweeping the talisman to the ground. The instant it hit the ground, it crumbled into a pile of ash, dispersing in the wind. Xiao Zhao seized the opportunity and charged forward like an arrow, his eyes firm, filled with courage and determination. He leaped high, his weapon flashing with a cold light as he stabbed fiercely at the monster's leg. However, the monster's scales were incredibly hard, like steel, and Xiao Zhao's weapon only left a faint mark, as if tickling the creature.
At this moment, Professor Li formed seals with his hands and chanted an ancient, mysterious incantation. His eyes were focused and determined, and beads of sweat covered his forehead, but he paid no attention. As the incantation rang out, a powerful beam of energy shot from his hand like a dazzling flash of lightning, aiming at the monster. The monster, struck by the energy beam, roared in pain and anger. Its body trembled violently, and the air around it seemed to be warped by the force. It turned in anger and, like a raging bull out of control, rushed towards Professor Li.
