Chapter 382: The Drowning Mystery (Part 1)

Xiao Zhao leaped behind the sofa, holding his weapon tightly, his eyes fixed on the incoming waves. "Come on, I'm not afraid of you!" Xiao Zhao shouted, trying to give himself courage. Lin Yu and Professor Li also found relatively safe positions. Lin Yu looked at the incoming waves, thinking about how to deal with them. "The waves are coming with such force that we can't just sit there and wait for death. We must take the initiative, but we must first find the weakness of the man in black robes." Lin Yu thought to himself. Professor Li nervously observed the man in black robes' every move, trying to find a flaw in his spellcasting. "His spells seem to require a certain amount of time and space to prepare. We must seize this opportunity." Professor Li analyzed in his mind.

The massive wave missed, slamming hard against the wall, sending up a massive splash of water that rained down like a torrential downpour, vanishing without a trace the moment it hit the ground. Old Chen, delighted, quickly peeked out from behind his desk. Seeing the wave hadn't harmed anyone, his tension eased slightly. "It looks like we're safe for now, but we can't let our guard down," he said.

However, the black-robed figure didn't give up. He sneered and waved his hands again, preparing to launch a new round of attacks. Lin Yu watched the black-robed figure's movements, knowing that the crisis they faced was far from over. "Everyone, be careful! He's about to attack again! We must find a way to fight back!" Lin Yu shouted, thinking about how to break the black-robed figure's spell and subdue him. The atmosphere in the living room grew even more tense. A fierce battle was about to begin, and everyone knew that every move could determine their survival.

Now, let's turn our attention to the deceased. In the center of the living room, the deceased's body lay motionless. His face was as pale as paper, devoid of blood. His lips, a strange purple hue, were slightly parted, as if he were about to say something but had been ruthlessly interrupted. His eyes were wide open, empty, filled with fear and despair, as if he had witnessed a terrifying scene in his final moments. His hair was wet and stuck to his scalp, with water dripping down his hair, forming a small puddle on the floor beside him. The deceased's clothes clung to his body, completely soaked, and water continuously flowed from the corners, forming small streams. His hands were clenched into fists, as if he was desperately struggling to grasp at the last glimmer of hope in the face of drowning.

Lin Yu looked at the body, a complex wave of emotions welling up in his heart. "What on earth had he been through? What horrible thing had happened in this seemingly peaceful living room, to cause him to die in such a bizarre way?" Lin Yu secretly vowed to himself that he would find the truth and let the deceased rest in peace. Old Chen also came over, looked at the body, and sighed. "This deceased's death was so unjust. We must find the murderer as soon as possible and not let his death be in vain," Old Chen said, his eyes revealing a hint of anger and sympathy.

Xiao Zhao frowned as he looked at the deceased's tragic condition. "This murderer is too cruel. What is his purpose in killing people in such a strange way?" Xiao Zhao was filled with confusion and anger. Professor Li squatted down and carefully observed the deceased's body, trying to find some clues related to the case. "Judging from the deceased's appearance, he did drown, but there was not enough water in the living room to cause such a result. There must be some unknown supernatural means behind this." Professor Li said as he observed.

As they examined the body more closely, their doubts grew. How could this seemingly ordinary middle-aged man become the victim of such a bizarre drowning? How could the murderer have accomplished this in such a closed living room? These questions, like a thick fog, enveloped everyone. Meanwhile, the black-robed figure launched another attack. A massive wave crashed towards the crowd, pulling them back from their thoughts of the deceased. A fierce battle loomed, and they had to resolve the immediate crisis before they could even hope to uncover the truth.
