Chapter 392: The Mystery of Peng Jiamu's Disappearance in Lop Nur (Final Chapter)

749 Bureau: The Mystery of Peng Jiamu's Disappearance in Lop Nur (Final Chapter)

Lin Yu's command was like a warning bell for the battle. Everyone instantly felt like they were facing a formidable enemy, devoting themselves to confronting the terrifying beast. The cave was filled with a suffocating atmosphere of tension, and every breath of air seemed to be filled with fear.

Old Chen launched the attack first. His lips moved rapidly, spells gushing out like a rapid-fire cannon, his hands forming hand seals with the speed of a phantom. Several talismans seemed to come alive, flying like ethereal firebirds towards the massive creature. The talismans instantly ignited in the air, erupting in a dazzling, blazing golden flame like miniature suns, illuminating the dark and deep caverns and illuminating the tense, determined faces of the men. The flames, accompanied by a whirring sound and earth-shattering momentum, roared towards the behemoth, attempting to tear a life-or-death gap through its iron-hard scales.

"Watch me!" Old Chen yelled at the top of his lungs, his voice filled with determination and resolve, as if to unleash his fear and resolve. He knew the beast before him was no pushover, and if he wanted to break free, he had to use all his might in this attack.

The massive creature, as if sensing the imminent and mortal threat, swung its massive, stone-like arms violently, unleashing a torrent of wind that swept toward the talisman with overwhelming force. The gale was like an invisible yet incredibly sharp blade, slicing the air with a sharp whistling sound wherever it passed. The fire talisman, whipped into action by the gust of wind, instantly deviated from its intended trajectory. The golden flames flickered helplessly in the wind, like a candle in the wind, before finally dissipating helplessly, leaving behind only a few wisps of faint smoke that seemed to betray the failure of the attack.

"This monster is incredibly strong!" Old Chen's brows knitted together, forming a deep "chuan" character, and he was secretly on guard. He knew full well that the beast's strength was far beyond his imagination, and the upcoming battle would be extremely difficult.

Xiao Zhao seized the moment the monster's attention was drawn to Old Chen and, like a flash of black lightning, he charged at the creature with lightning speed. His specially modified weapon gleamed with an icy light in the dim cave, as if gathering momentum for the coming attack. His gaze fixed on the joints of the monster's legs, which he considered the weakest point in the behemoth's defenses. Xiao Zhao gritted his teeth, exerting every ounce of strength in his body, and roared, "Break it!" The roar echoed through the cave, seemingly shattering the oppressive atmosphere.

With all Xiao Zhao's strength, the weapon struck the monster's scales, but only a crisp "clang" rang out, as if striking impossibly solid steel, leaving only a faint white mark on the surface. The monster, in pain, roared with a deafening roar of rage. The roar resonated like thunder in the cave, jarring everyone's eardrums and sending their hearts pounding with the deafening roar. The monster's massive head whipped toward Xiao Zhao, its lantern-like red eyes blazing with rage and bloodlust, sending a chill down their spines. Then, it raised its massive foot, the size of a double bed, and stomped down on Xiao Zhao with immense force.

Xiao Zhao's face instantly turned pale, a surge of intense fear welling up within him. But years of training and a sense of mission enabled him to react quickly. He rolled sideways with the agility of a cheetah. His foot landed with a thud, instantly creating a deep crater in the ground. Dust rose like a mushroom cloud, instantly engulfing Xiao Zhao.

"Xiao Zhao, be careful!" Lin Yu shouted anxiously, his voice filled with worry for his teammates. He watched Xiao Zhao fall into danger, his heart aching, knowing that facing such a powerful opponent, the slightest mistake could lead to his death.

Professor Li nervously observed the monster's every move, his brain like a high-speed precision instrument, rapidly analyzing its attack patterns and weaknesses. He keenly noticed that before each attack, the monster's huge eyes would flash an eerie light, as if locking onto a target. "Lin Yu, the monster's eyes give us a warning before an attack. We can use this to evade it and find an opportunity to counterattack!" Professor Li shouted at the top of his lungs, his voice tinged with eagerness and excitement, as if he had grasped a glimmer of hope in the darkness.

Lin Yu's mind suddenly became clear. He quickly cast his gaze towards the monster's eyes, staring intently at the massive red pupils. A flash of light flashed within them, like a warning light in the darkness. "Everyone, pay attention! It's about to attack!" Before Lin Yu could finish his words, the monster opened its bloody maw and unleashed a jet of inky black light towards them like a cannonball. Wherever the beam passed, the air seemed to ignite, emitting a sizzling sound and carrying a pungent, burning smell.

Lin Yu and the others quickly scattered, their movements swift and frantic. The beam grazed Lin Yu's body, its scorching heat burning his cheeks. The beam struck the wall of the passage, instantly triggering a violent explosion. Under the powerful impact, the wall shattered like fragile glass, creating a massive gap. Debris rained down, and sharp rocks whizzed towards the group.

"This isn't going to work. We need to come up with a strategy and focus our efforts on attacking its weaknesses!" Lin Yu shouted as he dodged the rubble, his mind a tangle as he frantically pondered a strategy. He knew that if they didn't find an effective attack method quickly, they would all be killed.

Old Chen shouted from the side: "Lin Yu, I have an idea. I will use talismans to attract its attention first, and you and Xiao Zhao will take the opportunity to attack its eyes, which may be its weak point! Professor Li, you look for opportunities to use magic to assist us." As Old Chen spoke, he quickly took out more talismans from his pocket, his eyes revealing his determination to fight to the death.
