The monster roared in pain, its fury surging. Its massive body spun, lashing out with its claws. Xiao Zhao felt a surge of overwhelming force. He quickly released his weapon, tumbling through the air. The claws scraped past him, sending up a powerful gust of wind. Xiao Zhao felt as if he'd been hit by a speeding car. A sharp pain shot through his arm, and a long wound instantly appeared, oozing blood. He fell heavily to the ground, sending up a cloud of dust.
Professor Li stared at the detector, his eyes nearly bulging out of their sockets, beads of sweat covering his forehead. Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he shouted excitedly, "Lin Yu, this monster's energy seems to be concentrated in its abdomen. That might be its weak point!" Professor Li's voice was filled with surprise and eagerness, as if he had discovered a ray of light in the darkness.
Lin Yu's heart raced, and he immediately shouted, "Old Chen, attract its attention. I'll attack its abdomen!" Hearing the command, Old Chen immediately increased his talisman output. He pulled out several more talismans and threw them all at the monster. The talismans burned in the air, transforming into a sea of golden flames that completely enveloped the monster. The monster roared and struggled frantically in the sea of fire, its figure looming in the golden flames, looking even more ferocious and terrifying.
Lin Yu seized the opportunity and darted towards the monster like a black shadow. His body was as nimble as a ghost, constantly moving around the monster, searching for the perfect moment to strike. The air around him seemed to rip apart with his speed, making a whirring sound. Finally, he seized the moment when the monster's attention was distracted by the talisman, and with a single swift step, he leaped high, and with all his might, he thrust the long sword into the monster's abdomen.
The long knife sank into the monster's abdomen, and black blood gushed out like a fountain, splattering Lin Yu all over. The monster let out a shrill scream, a sound so sharp and painful that it seemed to shatter the entire forest. Its body trembled violently, and its huge frame began to sway from side to side, knocking down a large number of surrounding trees. Its eyes became even more blood-red, like burning torches, and an even more powerful evil aura emanated from it.
"Oh no! It seems to have gotten even stronger!" Lin Yu thought to himself. He tried to draw his sword and attack again, but the monster's muscles clamped tightly around the sword, preventing him from moving. Under the light, the monster's body began to tremble violently, and it let out a series of painful roars. Those roars were filled with fear and unwillingness, completely different from the angry roars before. A flash of panic and fear flashed in its blood-red eyes. Then, it turned and fled deeper into the forest, so fast that it seemed as if something even more terrifying was pursuing it. The light gradually faded, and the forest once again fell into darkness and silence.
Everyone watched the monster's departure, their hearts filled with confusion. Lin Yu wiped the blood from his wound, frowning, and asked, "Why did this monster suddenly flee? And what was that strange light?" Lin Yu's heart was filled with questions. This series of sudden changes left him perplexed. He knew that all of this was closely connected to the mysterious events of Ailao Mountain, and that they seemed to be gradually falling into a huge mystery.
Old Chen shook his head, his face full of fatigue and worry: "I don't know, but the secret of Ailao Mountain must be getting deeper and deeper. We have to be more careful next time. There must be a bigger secret hidden behind this monster and that light. We must find out." There was vigilance in Old Chen's eyes. He understood that the next journey would be even more dangerous, but as a member of the 749 Bureau, he would never back down.
Professor Li looked at the detector in his hand, his eyes full of thought: "That light seems to carry a special energy that can affect monsters.
