Lin Yu and his team returned to Bureau 749, but the bright lights couldn't dispel the gloom cast by the case. Technicians immediately began a detailed analysis of the evidence collected from the warehouse. The constant hum of instruments in the lab sounded like the prelude to a battle against evil. Lin Yu and his teammates sat in the conference room, the atmosphere heavy as lead. Everyone's expression was serious and focused. They knew the upcoming arrest plan would determine whether they could completely capture this criminal gang.
Lin Yu tapped his fingers lightly on the table, his eyes fixed on the whiteboard on the wall, which listed key information about the case and clues about the suspect. His heart was filled with a persistent pursuit of justice, yet also with anxiety about the upcoming operation. "Based on the current evidence, we can confirm that this barbecue restaurant is connected to the woman's disappearance, and there is definitely a huge conspiracy behind it." Lin Yu's voice was low and firm, breaking the silence in the meeting room.
Old Chen crossed his arms over his chest and nodded slightly. The lines on his face were tense, revealing his inner anger and determination: "That's right, the store owner and his men must be no simple people. We must be careful in dealing with them. This operation must be foolproof. We must not let these heartless guys escape the punishment of the law." The horrifying pieces of meat in the freezer kept emerging in his mind, and the hatred for the criminals burned in his heart like a raging fire.
Professor Li pushed up his glasses, his gaze behind the lenses revealing thought and calmness: "Judging from the test results, the human genetic composition in this meat is very complex, and it seems to have undergone some special processing. This may involve some supernatural power or advanced biotechnology. We must be fully prepared." He was thinking about various possibilities in his heart, worried that the criminal gang had unimaginable means, which would bring unexpected difficulties to the operation.
Xiao Zhao rubbed his hands nervously, swallowed and said, "Captain, what should we do specifically? They are already alert. Will it be difficult to take action?" There was a hint of uneasiness in his eyes. After all, the previous actions had been exposed, and he was afraid that this mission would be thwarted because of the enemy's vigilance.
Lin Yu pondered for a moment, his eyes gradually becoming firm. He pointed to the map on the whiteboard and said, "We can split into two groups. Lao Chen and I will be responsible for the frontal assault on the barbecue restaurant to attract their attention; Professor Li and Xiao Zhao will lead the technical team to encircle them from the warehouse to prevent them from destroying evidence or escaping. The action will be scheduled for tomorrow night. At that time, the barbecue restaurant business will be busy and their defenses may be relaxed." He repeatedly weighed the pros and cons of this plan in his mind, knowing that every detail was related to the success or failure of the operation.
Everyone nodded and began to prepare the equipment and materials needed for the operation. Time slipped away amidst the intense preparations. Night fell once again, like a huge black curtain, shrouding the entire city in mystery and danger.
The next evening, the streets near Chengdu University were ablaze with lights and bustling with people, brimming with life and energy. However, beneath this bustling exterior lay a darker, more elusive underbelly. Inside the barbecue restaurant, the lights were ablaze, and customers streamed in. The sounds of laughter and the sizzling of barbecue mingled, creating a seemingly warm atmosphere. The owner, busy as usual, wore a seemingly welcoming smile, but that smile couldn't conceal a hint of wariness in his eyes.
Lin Yu and Lao Chen, dressed in plain clothes, quietly penetrated the barbecue restaurant like two sharp daggers. The aroma of barbecue and the clamor of voices filled the air. They found a seat and secretly observed the goings-on inside. Lin Yu's gaze darted through the crowd, observing everyone's movements. His heartbeat was steady, but his inner vigilance remained high. Lao Chen, seemingly casually scanning his surroundings, his hands unconsciously rested on his waist, where he kept his weapon for emergencies.
After a while, the owner noticed them. A hint of doubt flashed in his eyes, but he quickly returned to normal. He walked over with steady steps and greeted them, "What would you like to eat? Our barbecue here is amazing." His voice was full of professional enthusiasm, but Lin Yu and Lao Chen keenly caught a hint of subtle tension in it.
Lin Yu smiled and said, "Let's have some signature barbecue. I heard that the meat here is very special." Lin Yu's smile was equally natural, but his eyes were fixed on the owner's eyes, trying to find a flaw there.
The owner laughed and said, "Haha, of course. Our meat is carefully selected and guaranteed to satisfy you two." He then turned and walked towards the kitchen. The moment he turned, Lin Yu and Lao Chen exchanged a glance, each understanding the other's intentions. A thrilling contest was about to begin.
Lin Yu winked at Lao Chen, who nodded slightly, pretended to be calm, and stood up, heading towards the kitchen. The kitchen was steaming hot and filled with a strong smell of oil smoke. Several waiters were busy cutting and grilling meat. Lao Chen took advantage of their unpreparedness and quickly slipped in like a ghost. The waiters were surprised to see Lao Chen suddenly break in, but before they could react, Lao Chen had already made a move with lightning speed and subdued them in a few moves. At this moment, the owner seemed to notice the abnormality in the kitchen, his face suddenly changed, and he hurried to the kitchen.
Lin Yu saw the owner's actions and knew his plan had been exposed. He immediately stood up and shouted, "749 Bureau, action! Don't move!" The shout was like a thunderclap, instantly shattering the lively atmosphere of the barbecue restaurant. The customers inside, upon hearing the shout, panicked and fled in all directions. Screams and the clashing of tables and chairs mixed together in a chaotic scene.
