Ouyang Zhenghao looked at the giant python peak in front of him, and a chill ran down his spine: "This peak looks weird. Where should the 26 steel needles be inserted? Can they really solve the problem? Why do I feel that the things behind this are not that simple?" He frowned, and his eyes revealed a hint of doubt and worry.
Lin Yu pulled out a detailed map with the needle insertion locations marked on it. "According to the expert's instructions, these 26 locations are distributed at different heights and angles on the Giant Python Peak. They should have been precisely calculated. But before we act, we must first conduct a detailed survey of the surrounding environment to ensure there are no other potential dangers. The abnormal energy fluctuations of this Giant Python Peak may affect our judgment, so every detail is crucial."
At that moment, a gentle tremor erupted from within Giant Python Peak, as if a sleeping giant were stirring. Everyone was startled, quickly tightening their grip on their equipment and weapons, their nerves instantly tense. The tremors grew stronger, and debris began to tumble from the surrounding mountains. The crackling sound echoed through the valley, like the mountain groaning in pain.
"Everyone find a place to hide!" Lin Yu shouted loudly, his voice echoing in the valley.
Everyone hurriedly sought cover, dodging the falling debris. Ouyang Zhenghao hid behind a boulder, watching the constantly shaking Giant Python Peak, grumbling inwardly, "We haven't even started the acupuncture yet, and already we're getting a head start. What's going to happen next? What secrets does this Giant Python Peak hide? Why has it suddenly become so strange?"
After the shaking finally stopped, everyone cautiously emerged from their shelter. Lin Yu looked at them and said firmly, "This is just the beginning. We can't retreat. First, complete the environmental survey and find the insertion point for the first needle. This is the first step in resolving this crisis, and we must ensure it's foolproof."
The team rallied and began a detailed exploration of the base of Python Peak. Unbeknownst to them, this was only the beginning of the crisis at Python Peak, and more unknown horrors and challenges awaited them. Every step forward felt like groping in the dark, a potential abyss at any moment...
During his exploration, Lin Yu discovered that the soil at the foot of Giant Python Peak had a strange color—neither the usual brown nor black, but a dark gray somewhere in between, as if eroded by some force. He squatted down and carefully examined the soil's texture, discovering tiny crystals gleaming faintly in the sunlight. These crystals exuded a faint chill, feeling icy to the touch, as if from another, icy world.
"Everyone come and take a look, there is something wrong with the soil." Lin Yu called the team members over.
The team members gathered around and looked at the soil in Lin Yu's hand with surprised expressions on their faces.
"What is this? Why have we never seen soil of this color and these strange crystals?" a team member asked curiously.
Lin Yu shook his head: "I'm not sure, but these crystals may be related to the anomaly of Giant Python Peak. Let's collect some samples first and bring them back for scientific researchers to study."
At that moment, a rock not far away suddenly emitted a low humming sound, like the sound of some kind of machinery starting up. Everyone was startled and quickly looked in the direction of the rock. They saw cracks beginning to appear on the surface of the rock, and a strange red light shone through the cracks, as if something was about to emerge from within.
"What's going on?" Ouyang Zhenghao gripped the weapon in his hand vigilantly, his eyes fixed on the rock.
As the crack widened, a massive black claw emerged from the rock. Covered in hard scales, it gleamed with a metallic sheen. Then, a massive figure slowly emerged from the rock. It was a lizard-like monster, more than two men tall, covered in black scales. Its eyes gleamed blood-red, and its mouth was filled with sharp fangs. It let out a deep roar that shook the air around it.
"What...what kind of monster is this?" a team member shouted in horror, the weapon in his hand shaking unconsciously.
Lin Yu quickly analyzed the situation, knowing full well that this monster wasn't a good person. "Everyone, don't panic! Maintain a defensive formation! Follow my instructions and don't attack blindly! This monster looks powerful. We need to observe its movements and look for any flaws."
The monster slowly approached the group, its footsteps heavy, each one leaving a deep footprint on the ground. Its eyes fixed on the group, as if sizing up these uninvited guests, a hint of greed and ferocity gleaming in its blood-red glow.
"Lin Yu, what should we do? This monster is getting closer and closer." Ouyang Zhenghao asked anxiously.
Lin Yu frowned, thinking about his response: "Everyone, don't act rashly. Wait until it gets closer, then we can attack. Pay attention to cooperating with each other, don't fight alone."
When the monster was only a dozen meters away from the group, it suddenly opened its bloody mouth and roared. A black smoke spewed out from its mouth, spreading towards the group. The smoke emitted a pungent smell that made people want to vomit. Wherever it passed, the plants withered instantly, as if the life had been drained away.
"Oh no, this smoke is poisonous! Everyone cover your mouth and nose and step back!" Lin Yu shouted loudly.
Everyone hurriedly covered their mouths and noses and retreated. However, the smoke spread very quickly, and several team members inhaled some of it, starting to cough violently and becoming weak.
