The Mystery of the Missing Mystery Train (Part 1)
After successfully resolving the crisis in the ancient cave in Yunnan, Lin Yu, Ouyang Zhenghao and Shen Yao had just returned to Bureau 749. Before they could enjoy a moment of peace and relaxation, they were involved in a new strange incident.
A train full of passengers disappeared without a trace while on its way from its departure station to its scheduled next destination, as if it had evaporated from the face of the earth.
The train, number K749, served as a regular route connecting two important cities. It had always operated perfectly normally, like a precise clock, following its predetermined trajectory and schedule, shuttling between the cities day after day, carrying the travel needs of countless people. However, just the day before, the train had departed from its departure station, sounding its whistle on time as usual, carrying hundreds of passengers, some on business trips, some hoping to reunite with family, and some embarking on an unknown journey. However, after reaching a section of track in the mountains, the train disappeared from subsequent stations, as if wiped from the real world by an invisible hand.
The news immediately caused a public outcry. The passengers' families, utterly anxious, gathered at the station, their eyes filled with worry and fear, asking around for their loved ones' whereabouts, each one gripped by a sense of unease. Major media outlets zeroed in on the incident, blanketing the public with coverage of the bizarre incident. Panic engulfed the public, and speculation and rumors spread like wildfire. Some said the train had been hijacked by aliens and taken to a distant planet; others, that it had angered an evil spirit in the mountains, cursed and vanished.
