Chapter 445: The Mystery of the Missing Train (Final Chapter)

The Mystery Train Disappearance (Final Chapter)

The huge black shadow was like a rolling ball of darkness, carrying a suffocating sense of oppression, and pounced towards Lin Yu and others. Wherever the black shadow passed, the fog was forcibly dispersed, leaving behind a series of distorted traces, as if even space was groaning in pain under its ravages.

Lin Yu's heart sank, knowing full well that this was the most daunting challenge of the rescue operation. He quickly turned to Ouyang Zhenghao and Shen Yao and shouted, "Everyone, hold steady! This shadow is incredibly powerful. We can't panic! We must cooperate!" Lin Yu appeared composed, but his heart was surging. He knew the shadow before him was no match for the smaller forces he'd encountered before. A single misstep could mean their entire existence. But as the team's core, he had to maintain his composure and instill confidence in his teammates and passengers.

Ouyang Zhenghao gripped his weapon tightly, his knuckles white from the exertion. His eyes burned with fearless fighting spirit as he shouted, "Lin Yu, don't worry! I want to see just how capable this shadow is!" Despite his resolute tone, he knew the enormity of this battle. The shadow's powerful aura made his heart beat faster, but years of adventure had buried his fear deep within him. At this moment, he held only one conviction: to fight the shadow to the death and protect everyone else.

Chen Yao quickly adjusted the frequency of the light-emitting device in her hand, the light flickering and changing constantly as she nervously manipulated it. She shouted, "I'll try my best to disrupt it with this light. You guys seize the opportunity to attack!" Chen Yao's hands trembled slightly, partly out of fear of the shadow's unknown power, and partly because she was deeply aware of the heavy responsibility she shouldered. She had to precisely control the light to create offensive opportunities for her teammates. Any mistake would have disastrous consequences.

A massive black shadow instantly loomed before them, its maw gaping like the abyss, and a deafening roar erupted. This roar was like a materialized shockwave, crashing down upon them with overwhelming force. Wherever it passed, the air was violently compressed, emitting a sharp whistling sound. Lin Yu and the others felt a powerful force bearing down on them, as if they had been struck by a high-speed train, sending their bodies flying backward uncontrollably. Some passengers were even thrown to the ground by the force, emitting screams of agony.

"Is everyone okay?" Lin Yu struggled to get up from the ground, ignoring the pain in his body and anxiously asking everyone. At this moment, his heart was filled with worry, fearing that some passengers would be seriously injured in this wave of attacks, which would affect their next move.

"I... I'm fine!" "I'm fine too..." The passengers responded one after another, but their voices could not hide the fear.

Ouyang Zhenghao struggled to his feet, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and cursed, "Damn black shadow, wait and see how I deal with you!" Then, brandishing his weapon, he charged at the shadow. The shadow seemed to sense Ouyang Zhenghao's attack, extending a massive black hand and slapping him fiercely. Ouyang Zhenghao quickly dodged sideways, but the hand brushed past his body and hit the ground, instantly creating a huge crater and sending debris flying.

Lin Yu seized the opportunity and quickly approached the shadow from the side, raising his weapon high and slashing at the shadow's arm with all his strength. The weapon hit the shadow's arm, splashing a puff of black smoke. The shadow let out an angry roar, and his arm trembled slightly. Lin Yu was delighted, thinking that the shadow was not invulnerable. However, before he could continue his attack, the shadow's other hand suddenly swept over. Lin Yu was unable to dodge and was hit in the shoulder, sending him flying again.

Chen Yao was terrified, knowing she had to do something to reverse the situation. She carefully observed the shadow's movements and noticed that before each attack, its body would briefly flash with a strange pattern. A thought struck Chen Yao, suspecting this might be the source of the shadow's power or its weakness. She quickly adjusted the light source, adjusting the frequency of the light to match the pattern's pulsing frequency.

When Chen Yao shot out the light again, the black shadow seemed to be restrained by some powerful force, and its body suddenly froze. It let out a painful roar, and its originally ferocious movements became sluggish.

"Now! Everyone, get on!" Lin Yu seized the opportunity and shouted. Ouyang Zhenghao and Lin Yu rushed towards the shadow again, their attacks even more fierce, each blow laced with a desperate determination. The passengers also shouted and cheered them on, cheering them on.

Under the combined attack of everyone, cracks began to appear on the black shadow's body, and black smoke continued to pour out from the cracks. As the attack continued, the cracks on the black shadow became more and more. Finally, with a deafening roar, the black shadow completely dissipated, turning into a black mist that slowly drifted into the air.

Lin Yu and the others panted heavily, looking at the place where the shadow disappeared, their hearts filled with relief at having survived the disaster. "We finally solved it," Ouyang Zhenghao said tiredly.

"Don't let your guard down. Let's leave this place first." Lin Yu said. He knew very well that this mysterious space was full of unknown dangers, and he must not take it lightly before successfully escaping.

The group continued to move towards the exit. As they approached, the light grew brighter, as if beckoning them. When they finally stepped out of that space, they found themselves back in the vast space where the train had been. The train remained quietly stationary, and nothing around them seemed to have changed, but the fear in everyone's hearts had dissipated considerably.

Lin Yu looked at the train, thinking about how to get it back to normal and get everyone out of this strange place. He carefully observed the symbols and patterns on the train again, trying to find the key clues to start the train or leave here.
