Chapter 451 The Mysterious Broken Head Mountain (Part 1)

Entering the cave, they found the passage narrow and winding, barely wide enough for two people to pass side by side. The patterns and symbols on the cave walls became increasingly clear, as if telling them an ancient and terrifying tale. Lin Yu carefully shone his flashlight over them, trying to find any clues. "These symbols resemble an ancient script, yet they differ from any known writing system. Chen Yao, you're knowledgeable in the occult, what are your thoughts?" Lin Yu asked, turning his head.

Chen Yao frowned, observed the symbols carefully, and said, "Judging from the shape and style of these symbols, they are likely to come from an ancient civilization that has disappeared. These civilizations often possess some mysterious powers beyond imagination. Perhaps the secret of this mountain is related to this civilization. But to decipher these symbols, more clues are needed." Chen Yao's heart was full of doubts and curiosity. As an expert in mysticism, she was full of desire to explore these unknown symbols, but at the same time she also knew that unraveling the secrets of these symbols might uncover some unknown and horrific truths.

They walked cautiously along the passage, and suddenly, a fork in the road appeared in front of them. The two passages looked exactly the same, both shrouded in darkness, as if leading to different unknown worlds.

"Which way should we go?" Ouyang Zhenghao asked, a hint of confusion in his eyes. In this cave full of unknowns, every choice could lead to a completely different outcome, and they had no clues to guide them.

Lin Yu thought for a moment and said, "Let's first see if there are any differences between the two passages. Ouyang, you go to the left passage, and Chen Yao and I will go to the right passage. Everyone, stay in touch. If you encounter any danger, send a signal immediately." Lin Yu knew that in this situation, cautious exploration was necessary. Although he was also full of hesitation, as the leader of the team, he had to make a decisive decision.

Ouyang Zhenghao nodded, gripping his weapon tightly, and walked toward the left passage. His footsteps gradually faded away in the passage, eventually disappearing into the darkness. Lin Yu and Shen Yao headed toward the right passage. It was eerily quiet, with only the sound of their own breathing and footsteps to be heard. Suddenly, Shen Yao stopped and pointed at a symbol on the cave wall. "Lin Yu, look at this symbol! It's a little different from what we've seen before. It seems more complex, and there are some subtle lines around it, as if guiding something."

Lin Yu took a closer look and discovered that the symbol Chen Yao had described was indeed unique. It resembled a distorted eye, with lines surrounding it like rays emanating from it. "Could this be a hint for us to go in a certain direction? Perhaps the right passage is the correct choice," Lin Yu said, a glimmer of hope igniting in his heart, hoping that this discovery would help them find the right path.

At this moment, they heard Ouyang Zhenghao's shout: "Lin Yu! Chen Yao! Come here quickly! I found something strange!" The voice echoed in the cave and sounded a little vague, but one could feel the urgency in Ouyang Zhenghao's tone.

Lin Yu and Shen Yao exchanged a glance and immediately ran towards the left passage. When they arrived at Ouyang Zhenghao's location, they found him standing in front of a huge stone door. The stone door was engraved with dense symbols and patterns, exuding a mysterious and ancient atmosphere.

"Look, the symbols on this stone door are different from anything we've seen before, and they seem to be telling a story," Ouyang Zhenghao said, his eyes revealing excitement and nervousness. He was filled with curiosity, eager to learn what secrets lay behind the stone door, yet also worried that it might bring unexpected dangers.

Lin Yu and Shen Yao carefully examined the symbols and patterns on the stone gate, trying to decipher their meaning. These symbols formed vivid images, seemingly depicting a brutal war. Huge, black-feathered creatures engaged in a desperate struggle with humans, who, in turn, relied on some mysterious power to resist. At the end of the image, a mountain peak was enveloped by a vast light, and then the top disappeared.

"It seems the secret of this mountain is related to these black-feathered creatures. But what's hidden behind this stone gate?" Lin Yu said, a hint of worry in his eyes. His heart was filled with doubts, wondering whether the key to solving the mystery or a more terrifying danger awaited them behind the stone gate.

Chen Yao, meanwhile, pondered the pattern of the symbols on the stone door, trying to find a way to open it. "There seems to be some logic to the arrangement of these symbols. Perhaps we need to touch them in a specific order to open the stone door. But this is just my guess. We need to try further," Chen Yao said, her eyes revealing concentration and caution. As an expert in the mysticism, she knew that a rash attempt could lead to unpredictable consequences, but in this mysterious cave, they had no better solution.

Just as Shen Yao was about to try to open the stone door, a low rumbling sound suddenly emanated from the cave, as if it were a roar coming from deep underground. Immediately afterwards, the ground began to shake violently, and some rubble fell from the top of the cave.

"Oh no! What's going on?" Ouyang Zhenghao shouted, a hint of panic in his eyes. The sudden tremors in this narrow cave made them feel incredibly dangerous, as if the entire cave was about to collapse.

Lin Yu quickly observed the surroundings and said, "Everyone, find a safe place to hide first. This vibration may be some kind of mechanism that has been triggered. Perhaps our observation just now triggered the stone gate's protection mechanism." They hurriedly hid behind a huge rock and waited for the vibration to stop. After the vibration continued for a while, it finally subsided. However, when they poked their heads out again, they found that the atmosphere in the cave had become even more eerie. In the originally quiet cave, a strange sound was faintly heard, like someone chanting in a low voice, or like the roar of some creature. The sound echoed in the cave, making people feel creepy.
