Skinwalker (Final)
Lin Yu, Ouyang Zhenghao, and Shen Yao took advantage of the moment the Skinner was trapped by the seal and quickly approached it. The atmosphere in the forest was tense to the extreme, as if time had frozen in that moment. The sealed Skinner struggled frantically, its tall, twisted body twisting in the light, its roars shaking the surrounding air, each one threatening to completely rip the tranquility of the forest apart.
Lin Yu gazed at the trapped Skinner, knowing this was their only chance. But he also knew this final battle was fraught with uncertainty. He gripped his weapon tightly. Though his palms were slick with sweat, the weapon felt like one with his hand, imbuing him with strength and courage. "This seal won't hold for long. We must fight quickly. Follow my instructions and aim for a fatal strike," Lin Yu whispered, his voice firm and steady, trying to convey the message to his equally nervous teammates. His heartbeat seemed especially loud in the silent forest, each beat tinged with fear of the unknown and a thirst for victory. He knew they couldn't afford to lose this battle.
Ouyang Zhenghao nodded slightly, his eyes revealing a hint of nervousness, but more so, a determination to face death head-on. "Alright, I'll listen to you. This monster is too sinister. We must eliminate it today," Ouyang Zhenghao said, his knuckles turning white from the exertion. He vowed silently in his heart that no matter the cost, he would end this nightmare. Deep within him, fear and anger towards the Skinner mingled. The fear made his body tremble slightly, but the anger gave him the strength to fight.
Chen Yao stared intently at the sealing formation, constantly monitoring the shifting light. She knew the formation's energy was fiercely battling the evil power of the Skinner Walker, and every second was crucial. "The seal's energy is gradually weakening. You must act quickly. I will do my best to maintain the formation, but time is running out," Chen Yao said anxiously, her eyes etched with worry, and beads of sweat covered her forehead. As an expert in the mysticism, she was well aware of the limitations of this ancient sealing formation. Against such a powerful Skinner Walker, its ability to hold out was extremely limited.
The three slowly approached the Skinner. The pungent, rancid stench grew stronger, nearly nauseating them. Trapped in the formation, the Skinner struggled mightily. Its eyes flashed with a strange, ferocious light as it stared intently at the approaching three, as if to devour their souls. Suddenly, it opened its maw and let out a chilling roar. A wave of green energy erupted from its mouth, sweeping towards Lin Yu and the other two.
"Be careful!" Lin Yu shouted, quickly pulling Ouyang Zhenghao and Shen Yao to the side to avoid the impact. The energy wave passed by and hit a large tree nearby. The tree was instantly corroded, making a "sizzling" sound, and then slowly fell down, raising a cloud of dust.
"This thing is too dangerous! We can't give it another chance!" Ouyang Zhenghao shouted, his voice filled with anger and anxiety. At this moment, his heart was filled with fear of the Skinner, but even more so, he was worried about the safety of his teammates. He knew that if he couldn't quickly eliminate the Skinner, they would all die.
Lin Yu nodded, his eyes revealing determination. "Ouyang, you attack from the left to draw its attention. Chen Yao, you continue to maintain the formation. I'll look for an opportunity to strike its vital points from the right." Lin Yu quickly made his plans, his mind racing, thinking about how to deliver a fatal blow to the Skinner in the shortest possible time. Although he was nervous at this moment, as the leader of the team, he had to remain calm and make the right decision.
Ouyang Zhenghao took a deep breath, roared, and rushed to the left of the Skinner. He swung his weapon and slashed at the Skinner's arm. The Skinner sensed the attack and quickly swung his claws to block it. The weapon and claws collided, sparking a string of sparks and making a sharp sound. Ouyang Zhenghao felt a huge force coming from his arm, shaking it so much that it numb, but he did not retreat and continued to attack.
Chen Yao concentrated on maintaining the sealing formation, her hands forming seals and muttering to herself. The formation's light flickered under the attack of the Skinner, but she gritted her teeth, striving to stabilize its energy. "Hurry up, I can't hold on any longer!" Chen Yao cried, a hint of fatigue and anxiety in her voice. She was overwhelmed by the pressure. On the one hand, she had to fight the Skinner's powerful evil power, on the other hand, she worried about the safety of her teammates, and on the other hand, she had to pay attention to the changes in the formation's energy.
Lin Yu took advantage of the moment when the Skinning Walker and Ouyang Zhenghao were tangling, and like a flash of black lightning, he rushed to its right. His eyes were fixed on the Skinning Walker's neck, which he had determined to be a vital point. As he approached, the Skinning Walker seemed to sense danger and attempted to turn and attack Lin Yu. However, Ouyang Zhenghao entangled it tightly and launched a continuous attack, preventing it from breaking free.
Just as Lin Yu was about to approach the Skinner, the light of the sealing array suddenly dimmed a bit, and the Skinner took the opportunity to break free of one arm. It suddenly swung a claw at Lin Yu, and Lin Yu was unable to dodge and was scratched on the leg by the claw. Blood instantly stained his pants red.
"Lin Yu!" Ouyang Zhenghao and Shen Yao exclaimed at the same time.
Lin Yu endured the excruciating pain in his leg and didn't stop. "Don't worry about me, keep attacking!" Lin Yu shouted, his eyes revealing determination. At this moment, his leg was piercing with pain, but he knew that if he stopped, all their previous efforts would be in vain. He used all his strength to stab the Skinner's neck.
