Chapter 468: Zhuhai Sanzhuxiang Building (Part 1)

Zhuhai Sanzhuxiang Building (Part 1)

On the edge of the bustling city of Zhuhai stands a building that strikes fear into the hearts of locals: the Sanzhuxiang Building. From afar, its distinctive shape resembles three giant incense sticks reaching into the sky, as if offering sacrifices to some unknown entity. Just the sight of it is enough to send shivers down one's spine. Since its construction, the building has been plagued by frequent accidents, and rumors of hauntings have spread like wildfire. Although these rumors have never been confirmed, they cast a thick shadow over developers and investors, leaving them trembling with fear. Now, unfinished for over two decades, it stands silently like a cursed behemoth, with no one daring to take over.

Lin Yu, Ouyang Zhenghao, and Shen Yao, known for their exceptional skills in handling mysterious cases, were assigned by Bureau 749 to investigate the secrets behind the building. As their car slowly approached the building, a few dark clouds drifted from the previously clear sky, completely obscuring the sunlight. It was as if even the heavens were creating a gloomy atmosphere for the building.

Lin Yu gazed at the eerie-looking building in the distance, his brow furrowed, his eyes wary and focused. He was well aware of the dangers of this mission; this mysterious building might conceal horrors beyond their imagination. "This building exudes an aura of evil, and judging by the rumors, the situation inside is definitely not simple. We must be fully prepared and ready for any emergency," Lin Yu said in a deep, powerful voice, trying to keep his teammates calm in the tense atmosphere. He, too, felt a sense of trepidation, unsure of what awaited them, but as the team's leader, he had to project unwavering confidence.

Ouyang Zhenghao sat in the back seat, gazing towards the building and shuddering. "This design is so eerie, even from a distance it's terrifying. I wonder what happened inside." Ouyang Zhenghao scratched his head, a trace of worry on his face. He recalled the various terrifying scenes he had encountered during previous missions, and a sense of foreboding welled up in his heart. Facing such a strange building this time, he wondered what kind of terrifying things he would encounter.

Chen Yao sat quietly by the side, a thoughtful look in her eyes. She pushed her glasses up on the bridge of her nose and said slowly, "From the perspective of architectural feng shui and mysticism, this unique shape may have special meaning, perhaps related to some ancient ritual or curse. Furthermore, the frequent accidents during construction may have triggered some unknown force. When we arrive, we must carefully observe the layout of the building and the surrounding environment for clues." Chen Yao, relying on her expertise in the field of mysticism, attempted to theoretically analyze the strangeness of the building, but she also understood that the actual situation might be far more complicated than imagined.

The car finally stopped in front of the building, and the three of them got out. The area surrounding the building was desolate, overgrown with weeds, as if it had been forgotten by time. The main structure of the building was complete, but the window panes were mostly shattered, revealing dark holes that stared down at them like empty eyes. The main door was closed, a large, rusty lock hanging from it, as if to prevent anyone from entering this cursed space.

Lin Yu stepped forward and gently pushed the door. It creaked with a harsh sound, as if the building were groaning in pain. Ouyang Zhenghao was startled by the sudden noise, his body trembling slightly. "This sound... feels like something is waiting for us inside," Ouyang Zhenghao said nervously, his hand unconsciously reaching for the weapon at his waist, as if this would give him some sense of security.

Lin Yu glanced at Ouyang Zhenghao and said, "Don't scare yourself. It might just be a case of disrepair. Let's find a way to get in and take a look." Lin Yu's eyes revealed determination as he circled the building, searching for another entrance. Finally, they found a small, half-open door on the side of the building. The passage behind it was dark and eerie, and a damp, moldy smell filled the air, making one want to vomit.

"Why is this door open? Has someone been here?" Ouyang Zhenghao said vigilantly. His heartbeat involuntarily quickened and a strong sense of unease surged in his heart.

Lin Yu said nothing as he cautiously entered the passage, followed closely by Ouyang Zhenghao and Shen Yao. A thick fog filled the passage, severely limiting their vision. They could only vaguely see a few meters ahead. Their footsteps echoed in the silent passage, each step a heartbeat away. Suddenly, a chilly wind blew, rustling their clothes and thickening the fog even more.

"This wind... doesn't feel right. It feels like something is following us," Chen Yao whispered, her eyes revealing a hint of fear, but more of a curiosity about the unknown. As an expert in the occult, she was both terrified of this supernatural phenomenon and eager to uncover its secrets.

Lin Yu stopped and looked around warily. "Everyone, be careful. Stay alert. This place is truly strange. We can't let our guard down." His eyes searched the mist, trying to spot the dangers lurking in the darkness. He felt a little nervous, as the eerie atmosphere gave him a premonition that the challenge he was about to face was extraordinary.

At that moment, a strange sound emanated from the front, like a soft sob, or perhaps a heavy sigh. The sound echoed through the mist, eerily terrifying. Ouyang Zhenghao nervously gripped his weapon and asked, "What's that sound? Is there really a ghost?" His voice trembled slightly, and fear spread within him.
