"What on earth is this thing? Why is it guarding here?" Zhao Yang asked puzzledly, looking at the figure on the ground.
Lin Yu frowned and said, "Judging from what it said before, it may be related to the seal broken by the scientific expedition personnel. Perhaps this is just some kind of existence guarding the seal. We must continue to go deeper to find the missing scientific expedition personnel and a way to eliminate the danger."
Ye Li nodded and said, "I agree. We also need to find out the connection between this cave and the inner world, as well as the real reason why the scientific researchers disappeared."
After a brief rest and some wound care, the three continued their journey deeper into the cave. The cave grew narrower and narrower, and strange lights flickered on the walls, as if telling an ancient and mysterious story. From time to time, strange noises could be heard from all around, like low growls or mysterious spells, leaving one with a chilling chill.
After walking for a while, a massive stone gate appeared before them. Carved with strange symbols and patterns, it exuded a mysterious aura. These symbols and patterns seemed alive, shimmering slightly in the light and shadow, as if conveying some kind of message.
"This door... doesn't look simple," Lin Yu said. He approached the stone door and carefully observed the symbols on it. These symbols had strange shapes and twisted lines. He had never seen such words or patterns before.
Zhao Yang also stepped forward and tried to push the stone door, but it didn't budge. "How do I open this door? Do I need to find a specific mechanism?" Zhao Yang asked.
Ye Li took out a magnifying glass and carefully examined the patterns on the stone door. "These patterns seem to tell a story, perhaps about the origin of the inner world and an ancient war. But the specific meaning needs further interpretation," Ye Li said, her eyes revealing concentration and curiosity.
At this moment, a low rumbling sound suddenly came from the cave, as if the earth was shaking. The ground began to shake violently, and some rocks fell from the cave ceiling.
"Oh no! Something's coming!" Lin Yu shouted. The three of them quickly prepared for defense and looked around vigilantly. The cave was filled with a stronger and more dangerous atmosphere. They didn't know what they were about to face, but they knew that a more severe test was about to come...
As the roar grew louder, the atmosphere in the cave grew tense, like the calm before the storm. Lin Yu, Zhao Yang, and Ye Li stood back to back, their eyes fixed on the surrounding darkness, trying to catch any sign of danger. Each roar was like a heavy hammer, hammering at their hearts, causing their heartbeats to accelerate uncontrollably.
"That noise feels like some gigantic monster approaching," Zhao Yang muttered, his knuckles turning white from the strain of his grip on his weapon. All sorts of terrifying visions raced through his mind, wondering what kind of behemoth might emerge. He knew that any unknown creature in this mysterious cave could possess immense power, and they must be fully prepared.
Ye Li's eyes revealed a hint of fear, but more of a determination. "Whatever it is, we must not panic. Let's first assess the situation, then find a way to deal with it," Ye Li said, trying to remain calm and analyze the current situation from a mystical perspective. However, this unknown danger also made her feel a little confused. After all, they knew nothing about this cave or what was about to appear.
Lin Yu remained silent. His eyes revealed concentration and vigilance, his ears straining to detect the sounds around him, trying to determine the source of danger. Suddenly, he noticed a sound seemingly coming from behind the stone door. "The sound is coming from behind the stone door. Could there be something hidden behind it?" Lin Yu asked, a sense of foreboding welling up in his heart.
At that moment, the symbols and patterns on the stone door suddenly emitted a strong light, illuminating the entire cave. The three people were blinded by the glare. When the light faded slightly, they were surprised to find that the stone door slowly opened. A pungent smell rushed from behind the stone door, almost suffocating them.
"What's that smell?" Zhao Yang said, covering his nose.
Lin Yu frowned and said, "Whatever it is, let's be careful."
After the stone door opened completely, a massive figure appeared before them. It was a lizard-like creature, over ten meters long, covered in black scales that gleamed with a metallic sheen. Its eyes were like two giant red lights, emitting a fierce glow. Its mouth was filled with sharp teeth, each as long as a dagger. Its limbs were thick and powerful, its claws digging deep into the ground, as if demonstrating its strength.
"What kind of monster is this?" Ye Li said in horror.
Lin Yu responded quickly, saying, "Everyone, don't panic. Stay alert. This monster looks powerful, but we can't retreat." Lin Yu's voice was firm and powerful, trying to reassure his teammates. But he was also filled with worry. This monster was more powerful than he had imagined, and they had to find its weakness to have a chance of victory.
The lizard monster roared with a deafening roar that echoed through the cave and made their ears ring. Then, it opened its bloody mouth and pounced towards them.
"Get out of the way!" Lin Yu yelled, and the three of them quickly scattered. The lizard monster's attack missed, and it angrily swung its tail like a giant whip, sweeping towards Zhao Yang. Zhao Yang couldn't dodge in time and was hit by the tail, his body flying out and falling heavily to the ground.
"Zhao Yang!" Lin Yu and Ye Li exclaimed. Lin Yu quickly ran to Zhao Yang and helped him up. "How are you?" Lin Yu asked.
