Life and Death Escape
The footsteps grew closer, like the beat of a life-threatening drum, each one hammering heavily at everyone's heart. Lin Yu tightly gripped his weapon, a crude wooden stick, but at this moment, it felt like his only lifeline. His palms were wet with sweat, and the slippery feeling made it almost impossible to hold onto the stick. However, his fingers strained harder and harder, their joints turning white from the extreme tension.
Suddenly, a strong light shot from the front. The light was so dazzling that it instantly hurt everyone's eyes. They subconsciously covered their eyes with their hands, and all they saw was white and they could not see anything.
"Don't move, otherwise you will bear the consequences!" A stern voice sounded, and the voice seemed to contain ice chips, which made people shudder.
As their eyes adjusted to the light, they discovered several heavily armed men in black standing before them. They were tall, their faces obscured by black masks and hats, revealing only cold, ruthless eyes. The advanced weapons they held radiated a cold, metallic sheen, creating an overwhelming sense of pressure.
Lao Chen shouted, "What on earth do you want to do? Why are you doing this to us? We are just innocent people!" His voice was full of anger and confusion, and his chest heaved violently like an angry lion.
One of the men in black sneered, "We'll take you back and let you know the consequences of resistance. Don't struggle in vain, just follow us obediently." There was a hint of contempt in his eyes, as if he was looking at a group of lambs to be slaughtered.
Lin Yu shouted, "We will never go with you! You devils, don't even think you'll make us surrender!" His voice was firm and powerful, his eyes burning with an unyielding fire. "We will fight you to the end!" His heart was filled with determination. Even facing such a powerful enemy, he would never back down.
The men in black rushed forward without further ado, their movements swift and agile, like a pack of hungry wolves pouncing on their prey.
A fierce struggle unfolded in the darkness. Lin Yu and Lao Chen fought fiercely, brandishing their weapons in a desperate struggle with the men in black. Every swing of Lin Yu's wooden club carried all his strength and fury. "Come on! I'm not afraid of you!" he roared, as if venting all his fear and anger.
Old Chen showed no sign of weakness. Although he was older, he was more experienced. "Fight them!" he shouted, nimbly dodging the attacks of the men in black while looking for opportunities to strike back.
Suna and the other team members also fought with all their might. Suna's hair was tangled in a mess, her face was covered in sweat and dust, but her eyes were full of determination. "We can't let them catch us!" Her voice was a little trembling, but more courageous.
But the men in black were well-trained, their coordination was seamless, and their attacks were accurate and powerful. Gradually, everyone began to lose strength and their movements became sluggish.
Lin Yu's breathing became rapid, and he felt his strength slipping away bit by bit. "This is not a solution. We have to find a chance to escape!" he shouted, a hint of anxiety in his voice.
Old Chen gasped, "But where to run?"
At this moment, Lin Yu discovered a passage on the side. The passage was dark and deep, and no one knew where it led to, but at the moment it was their only hope. "Run this way!" Lin Yu shouted loudly.
Without hesitation, everyone rushed towards the passage, and their footsteps echoed in the passage, as if they were chasing death.
The men in black were chasing closely behind, and their footsteps were like a death warrant, getting closer and closer.
The passage was filled with obstacles, the ground was uneven, and there were rocks and debris scattered everywhere. Everyone stumbled in the darkness, and from time to time someone would fall, but they would quickly get up and continue running.
"Hurry, they're coming!" Suna shouted, her voice shrill with fear.
Lin Yu looked back and saw the man in black getting closer and closer to them. His heart sank. "Don't look back, run!" he urged loudly.
Suddenly, one of the team members tripped over a stone and cried out in pain.
"Don't worry about me, just go!" the team members shouted.
Lin Yu gritted his teeth and said, "No, we can't leave you behind!" He turned around, helped the team member up, and continued to run forward.
Finally, they saw the exit ahead, and a glimmer of hope ignited in their hearts. A faint light shone through the exit, as if it was the dawn of life.
"Hurry, we're almost there!" Lin Yu shouted.
Everyone used up their last bit of strength and rushed towards the exit...
