Chapter 74 The Horrifying Truth

The Horrible Truth

Just as everyone panicked, the glass container suddenly exploded. In that instant, time seemed to stand still. A thick green liquid spurted out with overwhelming force, like a green torrent, instantly splashing everyone. The liquid exuded a pungent, nauseating odor, and the sticky feeling made people feel uncomfortable.

The unidentified object slowly rose from the shattered container, its appearance like the beginning of a nightmare. Its massive body, towering before them like a small mountain, made them feel incredibly small and vulnerable. Its body was covered in twisting tentacles, writhing like snakes, each one threatening. Tiny barbs gleamed with a cold light, sending shivers down their spines. And its fang-filled maw was like a black hole, seemingly capable of swallowing everything.

"What the hell is this thing?" one team member cried in terror, his voice shrill and piercing with sheer terror. His eyes widened in disbelief and utter terror. "How could this even exist? Is this a demon from Hell?" His legs trembled, barely able to stand.

Lin Yu feigned composure. Though his heart was filled with fear, he knew he couldn't lose his composure now. He shouted, "Don't panic! Prepare to fight!" His voice echoed through the trembling air, trying to inspire a sense of courage and confidence. "We can't just sit there and wait for death. We must fight!" His heartbeat was so rapid that it threatened to leap out of his throat, but his eyes remained firm, and his grip on his weapon remained tight.

However, the monster did not attack immediately, but instead emitted a low humming sound that seemed to come from the abyss, carrying an indescribable sense of oppression, echoing throughout the room.

Suna covered her ears and said in pain, "This sound hurts my head." Her face was pale, her brow was furrowed, and tears were welling up in her eyes. "This sound seems to be getting into my head. I can't stand it!" Her body was shaky, as if she would collapse at any moment.

Old Chen frowned, wondering, "Could this be some kind of control signal?" His gaze fixed on the monster, his mind racing. "This monster's appearance is no accident. There must be some conspiracy behind this." His heart was filled with doubt and worry, but he tried to remain calm, searching for a solution.

At this moment, the monster's tentacles suddenly extended, sweeping towards everyone like lightning. The tentacles streaked through the air, creating a whistling sound that sent chills down everyone's spines.

"Get out of the way!" Lin Yu shouted, his voice almost drowned out by the sound of the wind as the tentacles passed by.

The team members scattered in all directions, the scene in chaos. The sound of people's footsteps, shouts, and gasps blended together to form a chaotic symphony. Some people fell to the ground in panic, while others rushed towards the door desperately.

Lin Yu dodged while observing the monster's movements. His eyes were focused and sharp, searching for patterns in the chaos. Sweat streamed down his forehead, blurring his vision, but he kept his eyes fixed on the monster, not missing a single detail.

"Everyone, pay attention, its attack has a rhythm!" Lin Yu shouted, his voice becoming hoarse due to nervousness.

Everyone began to try to follow Lin Yu's instructions to dodge the monster's attacks, but the monster was too powerful and too fast to be predicted. One team member was unfortunately caught in the tentacles, his body instantly lifted high into the air, struggling helplessly in the air.

"Save me!" he cried desperately, his voice filled with desire for life and fear of death.

Lin Yu was extremely anxious. He rushed forward without hesitation and tried to cut off the tentacles. His weapon swung in the air, bringing with it a series of cold flashes, but the monster's tentacles were extremely tough, and the weapon only left a shallow mark on them.

The monster threw the team member towards the far wall.

With a bang, the player hit the wall hard and slid down like a broken doll. His body was motionless, and his life or death was uncertain.

"Damn it!" Lin Yu roared angrily, his eyes turning red with anger. "I must kill you!" His heart was filled with anger and grief, and he gripped the weapon in his hand even tighter.

At this moment, the monster began to emit that low humming sound again, and the instruments in the room began to flicker with strange lights. These lights flickered, as if conducting some mysterious communication with the monster. The entire room was filled with an eerie atmosphere, making people feel a deep sense of despair and helplessness.

"What the hell is going on?" one team member shouted in despair.

Lin Yu gasped, "I don't know, but we must find a way to stop it!" He looked at the monster firmly, and secretly made up his mind that he would protect everyone's safety even at the cost of his life.

The monster's tentacles danced again, and this time, the attack was even more fierce...
