Desperate Resistance
The unknown being drew closer, and from the darkness came a series of deep roars, echoing through the cave like a curse from the depths of hell, leaving everyone's hair standing on end. Each roar was like a heavy hammer hitting everyone's heart, causing their heartbeats to accelerate rapidly and fear to surge like a tide.
"Prepare for battle!" Lin Yu roared, his voice echoing through the trembling air, filled with determination and courage. His eyes were firm and sharp, his grip on the weapon tight, his knuckles turning white from the strain. "We can't just sit there and wait for death. We must fight our way out!" He silently vowed to protect everyone.
Everyone raised their weapons and pointed them in the direction of the sound. Their hands were shaking, but their eyes revealed a hint of determination.
Suna's hands tightly gripped the gun, her body shaking like a leaf swaying in the wind. "I'm... I'm so scared," she cried, tears welling in her eyes. "I don't want to die here. I want to go home." Her mind kept flashing back to her family's faces, their warm smiles fueling her perseverance.
Old Chen turned to look at Suna and said soothingly, "Don't be afraid, little girl. We're here for you." His voice was low but powerful. "We've been through so much together, and we'll get through this, too." His eyes revealed a firmness and determination, trying to bring Suna some courage and comfort.
Suddenly, a massive black shadow leaped out of the darkness. In that instant, all they saw was a pair of gleaming cold eyes and sharp fangs, like a demon from a nightmare. Those eyes, like blazing blue flames, stood out against the darkness, sending shudders down their spines. Those fangs, like sharp daggers, flashed with a sinister light, as if they could tear a person apart in an instant.
"Fire!" Lin Yu fired first, his finger pulling the trigger without hesitation. Suddenly, the sound of gunfire was deafening. Bullets streaked in the darkness, shooting towards the shadowy figure like meteors.
The monster's skin was thick and tough, and the bullets didn't seem to cause much damage to it, but instead only infuriated it. It let out a furious roar that echoed throughout the cave, nearly shattering the eardrums. Its body trembled violently, every muscle pulsing with strength and fury.
It pounced frantically, lightning-fast, at the crowd. Everyone scattered, and the cave was in chaos. The sound of footsteps, shouts, and gasps blended together to create a terrifying symphony.
One of the team members accidentally fell, and the monster pounced on him instantly. He widened his eyes in horror and shouted, "Help!" His voice was filled with despair and fear, as if it was the last cry of his life.
"No!" Lin Yu wanted to rescue him, but it was too late. His eyes were filled with anger and helplessness, "Damn monster!" His heart was filled with self-blame and pain, "I should have been faster, I should have been able to save him."
Old Chen's eyes widened in anger. "You beast, I'll fight you!" His voice thundered, brimming with rage and determination. He recklessly charged at the monster, attacking frantically with his weapon. "I want revenge for my brothers!" He had only one thought in mind: to kill the monster, even if it meant sacrificing his own life.
The monster was enraged by Lao Chen's attack and turned to pounce on him. Lao Chen did not flinch and fought the monster to the death.
Lin Yu took the opportunity to organize others to launch a new attack, "Concentrate firepower, aim at its eyes and mouth!" His voice was particularly clear in the chaos.
Everyone opened fire again, and bullets rained down on the monster.
Under the attacks of the crowd, the monster gradually fell into trouble. But it still did not give up, and continued to struggle, trying to make a final resistance...
