Terror Coming
The deep roar grew closer, each one like a hammer hammering down on everyone's heart. The sound seemed to carry endless resentment and anger, shaking the entire cave slightly. Everyone's heart felt like it was about to leap out of their throat. Fear, like an invisible hand, tightly gripped their throats, making it nearly impossible to breathe.
Suddenly, a pair of huge blood-red eyes appeared in the darkness ahead, flashing with a strange light. The light seemed particularly eerie and terrifying in the darkness, as if it were the wrath of hell.
"Ah!" One team member collapsed to the ground in terror. His face instantly lost all color, his eyes filled with despair and fear. "What is this? We're done, we're done!" His voice trembled with tears, his body shaking as if he had lost all strength and courage.
Lin Yu feigned composure. Though his heart was filled with fear, he knew he had to be their pillar of support. "Don't be afraid! Prepare to attack!" he shouted, his voice trembling slightly, but more so with determination. "We can't just sit there and wait for death. We must fight to the bitter end!" His heartbeat raced, threatening to burst through his chest, but his gaze remained fixed on those bloodshot eyes, his grip on the weapon tightening.
But when the monster fully revealed itself, everyone gasped. It was enormous, like a small mountain, its massive frame practically occupying the entire cave entrance. Its body was covered in sharp spines, which gleamed coldly in the dim light, as if ready to pierce them at any moment. It also oozes green slime, which emits a pungent stench that makes people feel nauseous and dizzy.
"How can we possibly defeat this?" Suna cried in horror, her voice filled with despair and helplessness. "We're no match for it. This is a fight to the death." Tears welled up in her eyes, and she involuntarily stepped back. "Why did we come here? Why did we have to endure such a nightmare?" Regret and fear filled her heart.
Old Chen shouted, "Let's fight!" and rushed forward. His face was filled with determination and courage, as if he had put life and death aside. "Even if I die, I must die with dignity!" He had only one thought in mind: to protect everyone, even at the cost of his own life.
The monster swung its massive claws, whistling past with a gust of wind. Old Chen narrowly avoided it, his body tumbling several times on the ground before quickly standing up and charging toward the monster. "Come on, you beast!" he roared, slashing at the monster with his weapon.
Lin Yu seized the opportunity to fire, his bullets raining down upon the monster. But the bullets seemed to have no effect on the creature, striking it like solid steel, leaving only shallow marks. "What kind of monster is this? How can it be so powerful?" Lin Yu's heart was filled with despair and helplessness. "Are we really going to die here?" He kept pulling the trigger, hoping to find the monster's weakness.
The monster was enraged by Lin Yu and Lao Chen's attacks. It opened its bloody mouth and spewed out a black smoke. The smoke quickly filled the entire cave, blurring people's vision and making breathing difficult.
"Be careful!" Lin Yu reminded everyone loudly.
Everyone groped in the smoke, and the fear in their hearts reached its peak.
"Help!" A team member's voice came from the smoke, full of fear and pain.
"Hold on!" Lin Yu shouted as he rushed towards the direction of the sound.
However, in this chaos and darkness, they seemed to have lost their way and could not find each other...
