Struggle in Despair
Amidst the smoke, everyone fell into utter chaos and panic. The black smoke seemed to have life, thick and sinister, rapidly spreading and enveloping everyone. Vision became blurry, and only shadowy figures could be seen nearby. The roar of the monster and the terrified cries of the team members filled their ears, as if it were a horrific nightmare.
Lin Yu struggled to discern his direction, his eyes stinging from the smoke, tears welling up. "Don't panic!" he called out to his teammates, his voice faint and helpless in the haze. "I'm here, everyone, come closer!" But all he heard in response was the monster's roar and his teammates' terrified cries, a chorus of sounds that mingled and filled him with anxiety and fear.
"Lin Yu, save me!" Su Na's voice came from a distance, with a crying tone. The voice seemed like a distress signal coming from the abyss.
Lin Yu was extremely anxious and rushed towards the direction of the sound without hesitation. His steps stumbled and he stumbled in the smoke. "Suna, don't be afraid, I'm coming!" He had only one thought in his mind, that is, he must find Suna and protect her safety.
However, fate seemed to be playing a trick on him, as he accidentally tripped over a rock and fell. "Damn it!" he cursed, his heart filled with anger and helplessness. "Why did this happen?" His knee slammed against the ground, sending a sharp pain through him, but he ignored it and struggled to get up and continue on his way.
"I must find her, I must!" He kept encouraging himself in his heart, endured the pain, and quickened his pace.
On the other side, Old Chen was battling the monster. He was wounded in many places, his clothes stained red with blood. But his eyes remained firm, filled with an unyielding fighting spirit. "Come on, beast!" Old Chen roared, brandishing his weapon like a fearless warrior. "I'm not afraid of you!" He used all his strength in each attack. Although he knew it might be futile, he would not retreat.
The monster seemed enraged by Lao Chen's provocation and attacked him even more frantically. Its massive claws swung at Lao Chen again and again, stirring up a gust of wind. Lao Chen dodged left and right, facing danger on every side. "I won't let you succeed!" He gritted his teeth, the rage in his heart burning even more fiercely. "Even if I die, I'll take you with me!"
At this point, one team member suffered a nervous breakdown from excessive fear. His eyes grew glazed, and he muttered to himself, "It's over, it's all over!" He desperately ran deeper into the cave, as if trying to escape this terrifying place.
"Come back!" Lin Yu shouted, but it was too late. His voice gradually disappeared in the smoke, and the figure of the team member quickly disappeared into the darkness.
Lin Yu's heart was filled with despair. "What should I do? What should I do?" His mind was in a mess, and he didn't know what to do. "Are we really going to be wiped out?" He couldn't imagine such an outcome, but the predicament before him made him feel extremely helpless.
Su Na cried in the darkness, her body shaking. "Lin Yu, where are you? I'm so scared." Her voice was filled with fear and despair, like a child lost in the darkness. "I don't want to die, I don't want to die..." Her tears slid down her cheeks and dripped onto the cold ground.
Lin Yu heard Suna's cry and became even more anxious. "Suna, hold on, I'll be there soon!" He rushed forward desperately. The smoke choked him so much that he couldn't breathe, but he didn't stop for a moment.
Old Chen continued to fight fiercely with the monster. His strength was gradually failing, but his will remained firm. "I can't fall down. I can't let everyone down!" This was the only belief in his heart that kept him going.
The cave was filled with the smell of death. Everyone was struggling in despair, trying to find a glimmer of hope for survival...
