Crisis in the Cave
The deep roar echoed through the cave, like a roar from hell, each echo striking at everyone's fragile nerves. Having briefly relaxed after finding shelter, everyone was instantly gripped by fear again, their bodies involuntarily tensing up.
"What's that sound?" a team member asked in fear, his voice trembling with undisguised panic. He stared wide-eyed, searching frantically in the darkness, as if trying to find the answer in that endless darkness.
Lin Yu gripped his weapon tightly, feeling the cold metal, trying to draw some courage and strength from it. "Everyone be careful, there could be danger." His voice was low and serious. Although he was filled with fear, as captain, he knew he had to remain calm and provide a sense of security for everyone. "Don't panic, stay calm," he kept reminding himself, beads of sweat on his forehead sliding down his cheeks, mixing with the rain.
Suna pressed herself against the cave wall. She could feel the chill of the cold, damp rock through her clothes, but it was nothing compared to the fear she felt within. "Could there be a monster in this cave too?" she whispered, as if afraid that even a louder voice would alert the unknown being. Her heartbeat was like a drum, each beat a countdown to the approach of danger. "We've finally found this place, are we going to be trapped again?" Tears welled in her eyes, a mixture of despair and fear.
At this moment, a pair of eyes emitting a faint light slowly approached from the darkness. The light was like a ghostly light in the darkness, erratic, yet moving straight towards them.
"Prepare for battle!" Lin Yu shouted, his voice breaking the brief silence with a resolute courage. He leaned forward slightly, adopting a defensive stance, his eyes fixed firmly on the approaching light. "Don't be afraid, everyone. We can handle this!" He prayed silently in his heart, hoping his words would give his teammates some courage.
The team members raised their weapons and aimed at the unknown threat. Their hands trembled slightly with nervousness, but everyone's eyes revealed determination and unyielding spirit.
As their eyes drew closer, they finally saw a massive beast. Its body was as massive as a mountain, its muscles taut and brimming with strength. Its fangs, sharp as knives, gleamed coldly in the dim light, sending shivers down their spines. Its hair stood damp and bristled, as if every strand was filled with anger and hostility.
The beast roared, a deafening roar that seemed to collapse the entire cave. The sound waves echoed in the narrow space, shocking everyone's hearts.
"Ah!" A team member couldn't help but scream, his voice seemed so small and helpless in the roar.
"Don't be afraid!" Lin Yu shouted, "Aim at its eyes and throat!"
Suna took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down. "We can do this, we definitely can do this!" she encouraged herself in her heart.
The beast opened its bloody mouth and pounced on the crowd. It was so fast that it brought up a gust of wind.
Lin Yu dodged to the side and thrust the weapon in his hand towards the beast's belly. "Come on, beast!" he shouted.
The beast nimbly dodged the attack and turned to pounce on another team member.
"Be careful!" Suna shouted.
The team member retreated in panic and accidentally tripped over a stone.
At this critical moment, Lin Yu flew over and pushed the team member away.
The beast's claws scratched Lin Yu's back, leaving several deep bloody marks.
"Captain!" the team members exclaimed.
Lin Yu gritted his teeth and endured the pain. "I'm fine, keep attacking!" His voice remained firm, without any sign of retreat.
Tears welled up in Suna's eyes. "Lin Yu, you must hold on!" She picked up her weapon and rushed towards the beast.
The beast was enraged by the attacks of the crowd and attacked more frantically. The cave was filled with roars, shouts and the clash of weapons.
At this moment, the atmosphere in the cave was extremely tense, and everyone's life was hanging by a thread...
