Cabin Terror
The deep, muffled breathing was remarkably clear in the silent cabin, like a call from the depths of hell. Each breath was like a heavy drumbeat, hammering down on Lin Yu and Suna's hearts. Their backs were instantly drenched in cold sweat, their clothes clinging to them, the chill piercing their very bones.
"Lin Yu, what the hell is this?" Su Na's voice trembled, almost crying. Her voice broke as it trembled, and every word was filled with unconcealed fear. Her eyes were wide, her pupils constricted with extreme fear. Her hands grasped Lin Yu's arm tightly, her nails almost digging into his flesh.
Lin Yu feigned composure. Though his heart was filled with fear, he knew he had to be Suna's support at this moment. "Don't be afraid, Suna. Let's find another way out." His voice was firm, but a slight tremor couldn't be concealed. His throat was dry and tight, and every word he spoke seemed to require all his strength.
They groped in the darkness, their hands scrabbling over the walls and the ground. Every time they touched an unknown object, their hearts leaped. The sound of their heartbeats and breathing seemed especially heavy in the cramped space, as if they were the only existence in this dark world. Lin Yu could feel Suna's breathing becoming rapid and disordered, her body trembling constantly, as if she would collapse at any moment.
Suddenly, Lin Yu felt a pair of eyes staring at them in the darkness. It was an indescribable feeling, a chill of being monitored and spied on rising from his spine.
"Who?" Lin Yu shouted. His voice echoed in the darkness, but no one responded. Only the heavy breathing continued to echo in his ears, as if mocking their incompetence and fear.
However, the only response he received was the sound of increasingly heavy breathing. The breathing seemed to be getting closer and closer, more and more rapid, like a ferocious beast that couldn't wait to pounce.
Su Na clutched Lin Yu's arm tightly, her nails digging deep into his flesh. "Lin Yu, I'm scared." Her voice was filled with despair and helplessness, tears welling up in her eyes. Her body leaned completely against Lin Yu, as if he was her only lifeline in this darkness.
At this moment, a dark shadow passed by them, bringing with it a gust of cool wind. The cool wind was like an icy blade, cutting through their skin and making them shiver.
"Ah!" Suna couldn't help but scream. Her scream echoed in the wooden house, full of fear and despair.
Lin Yu pulled Suna back toward the corner of the cabin. The ground beneath their feet was uneven, and they almost stumbled backward. "Don't make a sound. Maybe it won't be able to find us." Lin Yu's voice was low and rapid, his eyes constantly searching the darkness, trying to find a clue, a glimmer of hope.
However, the shadowy figure seemed determined not to let them go, pressing closer and closer. Each step carried an invisible pressure, making it difficult for them to breathe. Lin Yu could feel Suna's heartbeat like a rapid drumbeat, her body stiff with fear.
Suddenly, Lin Yu felt something hard and picked it up. It turned out to be a worn-out axe. The handle was covered in dust and rust, and the blade was blunt. But at this moment, this axe became their only hope.
"We have weapons, don't be afraid!" Lin Yu said. There was a hint of confidence in his voice, but the fear in his heart could not be eliminated.
At this moment, the black shadow suddenly pounced over. Lin Yu only felt a powerful force coming, and he subconsciously raised his axe and chopped at the black shadow.
"Bang!" There was a dull sound as the axe seemed to hit something. The shadow let out a painful roar, and the sound echoed in the wooden house, making their ears buzz.
Lin Yu and Su Na's heartbeats instantly rose to their throats. They didn't know whether this attack could repel the black shadow, nor did they know what kind of danger they would face next.
"Lin Yu, what should we do?" Su Na's voice was filled with tears, and her body was pressed tightly against Lin Yu's back.
Lin Yu took a deep breath and said, "Don't be afraid, Suna, we will definitely find a way out." He gripped the axe tightly, his eyes fixed on the direction of the shadow.
After a brief pause, the shadow attacked again. This time, it was faster and more powerful. Lin Yu and Suna could only dodge in the darkness, knocking the debris in the wooden house to the ground.
"Ah!" Lin Yu was knocked to the ground by the black shadow, and the axe flew out of his hand.
"Lin Yu!" Suna exclaimed.
The black shadow took the opportunity to pounce on Lin Yu. At this critical moment, Su Na picked up a piece of wood on the ground and smashed it at the black shadow.
The black shadow was paused by the sudden attack, and Lin Yu took the opportunity to get up and pick up the axe again.
"Suna, stay away!" Lin Yu shouted.
Suna quickly hid aside, her eyes fixed on the battle between Lin Yu and the black shadow.
Lin Yu swung his axe and fought a desperate battle with the shadow. Every attack exhausted all his strength, and every dodge made his heart jump to his throat.
Finally, with Lin Yu's strenuous resistance, the black shadow seemed to have suffered heavy damage and gradually retreated.
Lin Yu and Suna collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath. Their bodies were exhausted and their spirits were almost on the verge of collapse.
"We...we're still alive." Suna murmured to herself.
Lin Yu looked in the direction where the shadow disappeared, his heart filled with confusion and fear. "I don't know what this thing is. I hope it won't come back."
At this moment, the wind outside the wooden house was howling, as if telling of more unknown dangers...
