Episode 168: Danger

Danger

Lin Yu and Suna decided to follow the map to find the answer to the mystery of Tangjiabao. They moved slowly along the rugged mountain road, each step full of determination and resolve, but also mixed with deep uneasiness.

They climbed mountains and crossed valleys, the path beneath their feet bumpy and uneven, strewn with rocks of varying sizes and deep ravines. The trees on either side were tall and dense, their branches intertwined to form a green canopy that completely blocked out the sunlight. The air was filled with a damp scent, and the fallen leaves and rotting branches on the ground gave off a rotten smell.

They trudged through a dense forest shrouded in thick fog, a thick, white curtain that enveloped the entire world. With every step, the mist felt like icy tentacles, gently caressing their skin and chilling them.

"Lin Yu, I feel like we're just going in circles," Suna said worriedly, her voice remarkably clear in the silent forest. Her eyes were confused and anxious, her brow furrowed, and beads of sweat dotted her forehead. She clutched Lin Yu's arm tightly, as if it were her only support.

"Don't panic, Suna, let's take a closer look at the map." Lin Yu comforted her, trying to keep his voice calm, but his heart was also filled with anxiety. He carefully took out the worn map from his backpack. The paper of the map was yellowed and the edges were badly worn. The markings and lines on it were even more blurred in the thick fog.

At this moment, a low roaring sound came from all around. The sound seemed to come from the depths of hell, with a primitive and wild power, echoing in the forest and shaking the leaves to fall.

"What's that sound?" Su Na clutched Lin Yu's arm tightly, her voice trembling, fear instantly filling her eyes. Her body trembled involuntarily, as if she was frozen by the sudden roar.

Lin Yu looked around warily, his heart pounding as if it was about to burst out of his chest. He searched the dense fog, trying to find the source of the sound. He saw a huge beast slowly emerging from the thick fog, its silhouette looming in the mist, appearing even more mysterious and terrifying.

"It's a white tiger!" Lin Yu gasped, his voice filled with surprise and fear. He stared intently at the tiger, unconsciously dropping the map in his hand to the ground. The tiger was tall and mighty, its white fur gleaming eerily in the mist. Its eyes were like two burning flames, filled with hostility and vigilance.

The white tiger opened its bloody mouth, revealing its sharp teeth. Each tooth was like a sharp dagger, flashing with a cold light. A low roar came from its throat, as if warning them not to come near.

Lin Yu pulled Suna back slowly, taking every step carefully, fearing to anger the ferocious beast. "Don't anger it." His voice was low and rapid, and beads of sweat on his forehead slid down his cheeks.

However, the white tiger kept pressing forward, its steps steady and powerful, each step making the ground tremble slightly. Its eyes were fixed on Lin Yu and Suna, as if they were its prey.

"Lin Yu, what should we do? Will it pounce on us?" Su Na's voice was tearful, tears welling up in her eyes.

Lin Yu's brain raced, thinking of a way to deal with the situation. "Don't be afraid, Suna, let's retreat slowly and find a place to hide." His voice was calm, but his heart was filled with fear.

They continued to retreat, the dead branches and leaves under their feet making a "crunching" sound, which was particularly harsh in the silent forest. The white tiger's roar became louder and louder, as if urging them to speed up.

Suddenly, Lin Yu stepped on a rotten branch, and the sound of the branch breaking echoed in the forest. The white tiger was enraged by the sound, and it suddenly leaped forward and pounced on them with its mouth wide open.

"Run!" Lin Yu yelled, pulling Suna and turning to run. They ran desperately in the forest, branches and thorns scratching their cheeks and arms, bringing bursts of pain, but they no longer cared about it.

The white tiger was chasing them relentlessly, its footsteps like thunder, getting closer and closer. Lin Yu and Suna's breathing became rapid and disordered, and their hearts seemed to be jumping out of their throats.

"Lin Yu, I can't run anymore!" Suna said breathlessly, her pace getting slower and slower.

"Hold on, Suna!" Lin Yu encouraged her and pulled her to continue running forward.

Just when they felt desperate, Lin Yu discovered a huge ancient tree with a hole in its trunk.

"Suna, hide inside quickly!" Lin Yu pushed Suna into the tree hole.

The white tiger chased to the ancient tree, circled it several times, and kept roaring. Lin Yu and Su Na hid in the tree hole, not daring to breathe, their hearts in their throats.

As time passed, Baihu finally lost his patience and turned away.

Lin Yu and Suna breathed a sigh of relief and slumped down in the tree hole.

"We finally escaped." Lin Yu said with a tired smile on his face.

Suna nodded, her eyes still filled with fear. "But what should we do next?"

Lin Yu looked at the forest outside the tree hole and fell into deep thought...
