Episode 176: The Mysterious Exit

The Mysterious Exit Appears

Lin Yu, Suna, and the old man walked for a long time in the mist, the scene around them growing increasingly eerie. The fog, like thick ink, enveloped them tightly, and every step forward felt like stepping into an unknown abyss. The ground beneath their feet became muddy and slippery, emitting a smell of corruption, as if hiding countless invisible traps.

Strange noises could be heard from the surrounding darkness from time to time, like painful groans or desperate cries, which made people's hair stand on end. The torch in Lin Yu's hand could only illuminate a small area in front of him in the thick fog. The weak light seemed so small and powerless in the face of the endless darkness.

Suna followed Lin Yu closely, her eyes filled with fear and anxiety, her hands shaking constantly. The terrifying appearance of the evil spirit she had encountered before kept appearing in her mind, and every time she recalled it, she couldn't help but shudder.

"What the hell is this place? Can we get out?" Suna's voice trembled with deep despair and fear.

Lin Yu turned his head and looked at Suna's terrified face, and a strong desire to protect her surged in his heart. "Don't be afraid, Suna, we will definitely find a way out." He comforted her, even though he himself was also full of uncertainty.

The old man walked ahead without saying a word, his steps firm and steady, but his furrowed brow and solemn eyes revealed his inner worries.

Suddenly, a faint light appeared in front of them, flickering in the darkness, like a lone star in the darkness.

"Is that the exit?" Suna asked hopefully. There was a hint of urgency and excitement in her voice, as if she had grasped at the last straw. Her eyes were fixed on the light, and her eyes were shining with desire.

The old man stared at the light, was silent for a moment, and then nodded slightly: "Maybe, but it could also be another trap." His voice was low and hoarse, full of worry.

Lin Yu frowned, staring at the light and thinking for a moment. "No matter what, we have to go and take a look." His tone was firm and resolute. He knew they had no other choice but to take the risk.

They quickened their pace toward the light, each step filled with anticipation and fear. As the distance shortened, the light grew stronger, illuminating the surroundings. They noticed that the surrounding fog seemed to have thinned, no longer as thick and suffocating as before.

When they finally approached, they discovered the entrance to a cave radiating a mysterious light. The stone walls of the cave shimmered with a strange light, as if inlaid with countless gems. A thin layer of mist hung over the entrance, making it difficult to see what lay within.

"Is this really our way out?" Suna's voice was filled with hesitation. She stared at the cave entrance, her heart conflicted. On the one hand, she longed for this to be the exit, a way to escape this horrible place; on the other, she worried it was a new trap, a trap from which there would be no return.

Lin Yu took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. "We'll only know once we get in," he said, his gaze fixed firmly on the cave's interior. He knew they had no way out. No matter what lay ahead, they had to face it bravely.

The old man stood there, his expression solemn. His eyes scanned back and forth at the cave entrance, as if he was thinking about something.

"Old man, what's wrong with you?" Lin Yu asked.

The old man slowly raised his head and looked at Lin Yu and Suna. "I have a bad feeling this place is full of unknown dangers. But if this is really the exit, we can't miss this opportunity." His voice was full of contradictions and helplessness.

Lin Yu nodded: "I understand, but we have no other choice."

Suna bit her lip and said, "Then let's go in. It's better than waiting to die here."

They walked into the cave cautiously, and as soon as they entered, a cold breath hit them. The temperature inside the cave was extremely low, making them shiver.

Lin Yu used a torch to illuminate the surroundings, and saw that the walls of the cave were engraved with strange symbols and patterns. Those symbols flashed with eerie light, which made people shudder.

"What do these symbols mean?" asked Suna.

Lin Yu shook his head: "I don't know, but it doesn't look like a good thing."

As they continued walking, the ground beneath their feet became uneven, with sharp rocks sticking out from time to time. Lin Yu carefully protected Su Na, fearing that she would get hurt.

Suddenly, a deep roar came from the cave. The sound seemed to come from the depths of hell, full of anger and pain.

"What's that sound?" Suna asked in horror.

Lin Yu stopped and looked around vigilantly. "I don't know, but we have to be careful."

At this moment, a huge monster rushed out from the darkness. The monster was huge, covered with sharp claws and sharp teeth, and its eyes flashed with blood-red light.

"Ah!" Suna screamed in fright.

Lin Yu raised the torch in his hand, trying to scare away the monster. "Don't be afraid, Suna!" he shouted.

The old man quickly took out a dagger from his arms and prepared to fight the monster.

The monster pounced on them, and Lin Yu and the old man fought hard. The cave suddenly fell into chaos, with the flames, the monster's roar, and their shouts intertwined...
