Episode 184: The Mystery of the Terrifying Tai Sui

The Mystery of the Terrible Tai Sui

Lin Yu, Suna and the old man had just escaped from the terrifying cave and had not had time to rest properly when they received a new task.

"Someone in Shanxi dug up a Tai Sui (Gui Sui) and overnight, their entire family perished in horrific deaths, and the Tai Sui disappeared." Lin Yu frowned as he read the brief yet chilling intelligence in his hand. His eyes were filled with confusion and worry, and his solemn expression seemed shrouded in a thick haze.

Suna's face paled instantly, her lips trembling slightly, her eyes betraying a deep fear. "This is horrific! What force could have caused such a tragedy?" Her voice trembled and was weak, as if just saying these words had exhausted all her courage. Horrifying scenes involuntarily surfaced in her mind, the bloody and bizarre images making her feel dizzy.

The old man's gaze was solemn, his weathered face etched with deep wrinkles, each one a testament to the countless hardships he'd endured. At that moment, the lines seemed even deeper, as if the passage of time had inflicted new pressures upon him. "This is no ordinary matter. We must uncover the truth as quickly as possible." His voice was deep and powerful, carrying an undeniable resolve.

They immediately set off for Shanxi. Throughout the journey, Suna's mood remained restless. She stared out the window at the scenery speeding by, her heart consumed by fear and unease. "Lin Yu, I have a bad feeling this mission is going to be incredibly difficult," Suna said worriedly. Her hands were clenched tightly, her knuckles turning white from the strain.

Lin Yu held her hand and comforted her, "Don't be afraid, no matter what happens, we will face it together." His eyes were firm and gentle, trying to use his strength to dispel the fear in Su Na's heart. But in fact, his heart was also full of uneasiness, but he knew that at this time, he had to remain strong and calm.

After a long journey, they finally arrived in Shanxi. As they entered the village where the incident occurred, a chilling atmosphere overwhelmed them. The entire village was shrouded in a deathly silence, as if enveloped by an invisible, terrifying shadow. The sky was thick with dark clouds, oppressive and suffocating.

The villagers all looked terrified, their eyes filled with fear and confusion. When they saw Lin Yu and his group coming, they gathered around them, but no one dared to approach the family where the accident happened. They just pointed and whispered from a distance.

"I heard that when that family died, their eyes were wide open, as if they had seen something extremely terrifying." A villager said in a low voice, his voice trembling, as if recalling that scene made him shudder.

Lin Yu and the others arrived at the house under the villagers' terrified gazes. The house looked ordinary, no different from any other villager's, but at this moment, it exuded a creepy aura. Even though it was daytime, the sunlight seemed unable to penetrate the haze, still making people feel a chill.

They pushed open the door, and the room was filled with a pungent odor—the smell of death and decay. The furniture was in disarray, as if it had been the scene of a fierce struggle. Strange bloodstains adorned the walls, like some mysterious symbol, leaving one shuddering.

Lin Yu walked into the house cautiously, and Su Na followed closely behind him. Her heart beat rapidly, and every step was filled with fear.

They arrived at the bedroom and saw the bodies of the family. They lay on the bed, their eyes wide open, nearly bulging from their sockets, their expressions filled with fear and despair. Their mouths were open, as if they had tried to scream out something before dying, but their voices had been ruthlessly silenced.

The dead were pale as paper, their skin clinging tightly to their bones, as if all life had been drained from them. Their fingers were bent, as if they were desperately grasping at something.

Suna couldn't help but cover her mouth and nose, turning her head away, not daring to look. "What...what on earth is going on?" Her voice was filled with tears, and her body was shaking.

Lin Yu suppressed his discomfort and carefully observed everything in the house. He found some strange wounds on the deceased's body. Those wounds seemed to be scratched by something sharp, but they did not look like they were caused by ordinary knives.

Just then, they heard a sinister laugh coming from outside the house. The laugh seemed to come from the depths of hell, full of evil and weirdness. "Who?" Lin Yu rushed out vigilantly.

Outside the house, a dark shadow flashed by at such a speed that it was impossible to see its face clearly.

"Chase!" Lin Yu shouted, and chased in the direction where the black shadow disappeared with the old man.

Suna stood at the door, watching their receding backs, her heart filled with fear and worry.

Lin Yu and the old man searched the village for the shadow, but it seemed as if it had disappeared without a trace.

"What on earth is this?" Lin Yu gasped, his heart full of doubts.

The old man frowned, "It seems that this matter is more complicated than we thought."

They returned to the house and found Suna standing there in horror.

"I... I just saw a white figure floating past the window." Suna's voice trembled.

Lin Yu's expression became even more solemn. He knew that they were about to face an unprecedented challenge...
