Fierce battle in the mines
Lin Yu, Suna, and Gu Po led a group of fearless yet barely concealed villagers, slowly heading toward the abandoned mine, shrouded in mystery and danger. The sky seemed shrouded by a vast gray curtain. The dark, gloomy clouds, like dormant beasts, hung low, seemingly poised to collapse at any moment, burying everything in an endless darkness. A cold wind, like a herd of unbridled beasts, whipped through, rustling everyone's clothes. The icy touch seeped into their collars and cuffs, but it couldn't dispel the ever-present tension within them.
As the mine drew closer, a chilling, eerie aura filled the air, like an invisible hand gently caressing everyone's spines, sending chills down their spines. The mine's entrance was half-hidden by tangled weeds and twisted vines. These weeds and vines swayed in the wind like a savage monster, a silent warning. The dark entrance, like a giant beast hidden in the darkness, gaped its bloody maw, waiting for unsuspecting prey to fall into its trap.
"Everyone, be careful! This place could be full of traps," Lin Yu warned cautiously, his voice low. His grip on his weapon was like a pair of pliers, his knuckles turning slightly white from the strain. His eyes vigilantly scanned his surroundings, not missing a single movement. Every shadow, every subtle sound, could conceal a deadly danger.
With trepidation, the group cautiously entered the mine. A sickening, damp, rancid odor permeated the interior, as if countless rotting corpses were piled here, or perhaps it harbored some sinister curse. The odor, like a physical object, penetrated everyone's noses and mouths, making it difficult to breathe and their stomachs churn. The light was extremely dim, the meager ray of light filtering through the cave entrance unable to dispel the endless darkness. Everyone could only barely discern the uneven ground beneath their feet, and each step was taken with trepidation, as if they were treading on thin ice.
Suddenly, a villager at the front of the group accidentally stepped on a hidden trap. With a whoosh, a sharp arrow shot out from a hidden spot in the cave wall like a bolt of black lightning, whistling with a sharp whistle as it hurtled straight towards his throat. In that crucial moment, Lin Yu reacted with lightning speed, swinging his weapon with the agility of a cheetah. Sparks flew as the weapon collided with the arrow, precisely deflected. With a resounding clang, it fell to the ground, a resounding sound that echoed through the silent mine and heightened the tension. "Follow me closely, and watch your steps and surroundings." Lin Yu's voice, rising slightly with nervousness, echoed through the cave with an undeniable authority. Worrying for the villagers' safety and wary of the ever-present dangers around him, his nerves were at their utmost.
As the group continued their cautious journey deeper into the mine, they suddenly spotted some strange symbols on the cave wall. These symbols were twisted and distorted, as if written in blood by some evil creature, exuding an eerie aura. Upon closer inspection, they discovered they bore a striking resemblance to the dark sorcery runes they had seen in texts. "Looks like we've found the right place! The mysterious figure is likely nearby," Suna whispered, her eyes shimmering with a mixture of nervousness and excitement. Nervous because the mysterious figure's proximity heightened the danger; excited because they were one step closer to rescuing the villagers and uncovering the truth.
At that moment, a sinister, eerie laugh erupted from the depths of the mine. It was like the whispers of a demon from the depths of hell, echoing through the silent mine like sharp ice knives, piercing everyone's eardrums and sending shivers down their spines. "You're finally here! I've been waiting for you for a long time." The mysterious man's voice echoed through the cave like the cry of a night owl, making it impossible to discern his exact location. It was as if he was lurking in every corner of the darkness, watching everyone's every move.
"You evil man! Let the villagers go!" Lin Yu shouted angrily, his eyes red with rage, as if burning with flames. His voice echoed through the cave like rolling thunder, expressing his anger at the mysterious man and his concern for the villagers' safety. At this moment, his heart was filled with rage, and he wanted to rush forward immediately, tear the mysterious man into pieces, and rescue the innocent villagers.
The mysterious man sneered, his laughter filled with disdain and madness. "Let them go? They'll become the victims of my grand plan. Now that you're here, don't even think about leaving alive." The mysterious man's voice was filled with determination and cruelty, as if human life was worthless to him, like an ant.
As soon as the words left his mouth, a swarm of black poisonous insects surged in from all directions like a surging black tide. These insects were enormous, their eyes flashing an eerie red light, like the eyes of a demon, emitting an evil aura. They opened their sharp mouthparts and emitted a chilling buzzing sound, like the tolling of a death knell. The sound grew louder and louder, causing pain in everyone's eardrums, as if it was shattering their souls.
"Everyone, calm down! Use your Gu magic to defend yourself!" the Gu woman shouted. Her voice was steady and powerful, like a stabilizing force, bringing a sense of calm to everyone. She quickly unleashed her Gu magic, muttering something, her hands dancing rapidly in the air, summoning a swarm of colorful Gu insects. These insects flashed with strange light, like shooting stars in the night sky, rushing towards the black Gu insects and engaging in a fierce battle. The Gu insects bit each other, making a sizzling sound, as if a silent war was raging in the darkness. The air was filled with the stench of Gu insects, the smell of death and blood, making people want to vomit.
