Episode 238: Mystery in Worm Valley

The two men cautiously walked towards the source of the sound, each step seemingly pacing their own heartbeats. The cave was filled with an oppressive atmosphere, making it hard to breathe. As they approached, the sound became clearer and clearer, as if an invisible force was pulling them along.

Deep in the cave, they found a huge sarcophagus. The sarcophagus was engraved with strange runes. Those runes were like ancient texts and mysterious patterns, exuding a mysterious and evil aura. The runes flickered faintly in the darkness, as if the eyes of a demon were peeping at them. Lin Yu looked at the sarcophagus, his heart full of doubts and vigilance. "This sarcophagus looks very old, and the runes on it seem to be hiding some unspeakable secrets." Suna nodded slightly, her eyes revealing a hint of curiosity, but more of fear. "Should we open it?" Lin Yu hesitated and said, "Don't be in a hurry. This sarcophagus exudes a strange aura. It may be dangerous to open it rashly."

However, just as they hesitated, the sarcophagus suddenly began to vibrate violently, as if a powerful force was struggling within. Streams of black smoke surged from the cracks in the sarcophagus, like a black tide, instantly filling the entire cave. From within the smoke, a low roaring sound could be heard, as if a demon, dormant for millennia, had been awakened. Lin Yu and Suna hurriedly retreated, warily watching the sarcophagus, their heartbeats accelerating and their breathing becoming rapid.

"Could this be the legendary One-Horned Goro?" Suna asked nervously, her voice trembling slightly with fear. Lin Yu didn't answer. His eyes were fixed on the sarcophagus, his hands tightly gripping his weapon, his joints white with the force. His heart was filled with tension and anticipation, not knowing what kind of terrifying existence he was about to face.

As the smoke thickened, a blurry figure slowly rose from the sarcophagus. As the figure gradually became clearer, it was a humanoid monster with a single horn. It was massive, more than two men tall, and covered in black scales. It shimmered eerily in the smoke. Its eyes resembled two balls of blazing red flame, emitting a chilling aura. Its horn, like a sharp spear, gleamed with an icy light, as if it could easily pierce anything.

"It's really Goroku!" Lin Yu whispered, "We can't panic. We need to find a way to deal with it." Although he was filled with fear, he knew that he had to remain calm at this moment, otherwise they would all die. He quickly protected Suna behind him, looked at Goroku firmly, and quickly thought of a response strategy.

The One-Horned Goro roared with a deafening roar, a sound that threatened to collapse the entire cave. It opened its maw, baring sharp fangs, and lunged at them. Lin Yu swiftly swung his weapon, a flash of cold light, and collided head-on with the One-Horned Goro's attack. The moment the weapon made contact with the One-Horned Goro's body, there was a crisp metallic clang, and Lin Yu felt a powerful impact along his arm, numbing it. He gritted his teeth, steadied himself, and attacked again.

Suna wasn't idle either. She quickly unleashed her abilities, searching for One-Piece Goro's weakness. Her eyes fixed on One-Piece Goro's every move, her mind racing. In the fierce battle, she discovered that One-Piece Goro's horn glowed brighter with each strike, seemingly the source of its power and its weak spot.

"Lin Yu, attack its horn!" Suna shouted loudly, her voice echoing in the cave. Lin Yu's eyes lit up when he heard it. He saw the right moment, concentrated all his strength, and stabbed at the horn of Unicorn Goro. Unicorn Goro seemed to sense the danger, a trace of fear flashed in its eyes, and tried to dodge, but Lin Yu's attack was too fast, and it couldn't avoid it, and its horn was hit.

One-horned Goro roared in agony, a voice filled with rage and pain. Its body began to tremble violently, and its black scales fell off and scattered on the ground. Its strength seemed to be gradually weakening, and its attacks became chaotic.

Lin Yu and Suna seized the opportunity to intensify their attacks. Lin Yu swung his weapon repeatedly, slashing at Dujiao Wulang's body with immense force. Suna also deployed various abilities to assist Lin Yu's attacks. With their combined efforts, Dujiao Wulang finally gave way. Its body swayed several times before collapsing to the ground and disappearing in a puff of black smoke.

The two men breathed a sigh of relief, their clothes drenched in sweat. They looked at each other, their eyes filled with joy at having survived. But they knew this was just one of the dangers in Yunnan Worm Valley. They still had to face many more challenges, find a way out, and uncover the secrets of this mysterious forest.

The rain gradually stopped, and sunlight streamed through the cave entrance, bringing a ray of light to this dark world. Lin Yu and Suna walked out of the cave and continued their journey of exploration. They knew that more dangers awaited them ahead, but they did not retreat. They were the elite of the 749th Bureau, shouldering the mission of exploring the unknown. No matter how many difficulties and obstacles lay ahead, they would bravely move forward...
