Mysterious Symbols
After the old man jumped off the cliff, everyone returned to the dragon's location with heavy hearts. Shock and confusion were written on everyone's face. The old man's resolute figure seemed to still sway before their eyes, casting a thick haze over their hearts.
Suna's brow furrowed as her gaze once again fell on the patterns on the dragon's body. Her eyes were focused and eager, as if she was trying to uncover the secrets hidden in those complex lines. Suddenly, her eyes lit up as she discovered some strange symbols that she had not noticed before.
"Lin Yu, look at these symbols. They seem to be similar to some ancient writing we've encountered before," Suna said, her voice tinged with excitement and nervousness. Her fingers gently touched the symbols, as if sensing the mysterious power they held.
Lin Yu hurried over to take a closer look, his eyes narrowed to slits, his expression focused and serious. "Could this be the key to solving the mystery?" he muttered to himself, a surge of hope in his heart. "If we can decipher these symbols, perhaps we can understand the secrets of this dragon and this iron gate." His heartbeat involuntarily quickened, and various possible clues and theories flashed through his mind.
Just then, a team member discovered the same symbols on the stone wall next to the iron gate. "What does this mean?" the team member asked in confusion, his voice standing out in the silent valley. His eyes were filled with confusion and unease. Faced with these mysterious symbols, he felt as if he were trapped in a huge mystery, with no way out.
Lin Yu pondered for a moment, his gaze firm as he said, "Let's record these symbols first and study them when we get back." He knew they couldn't act rashly in this unknown and dangerous place; they had to proceed with caution. "Everyone, be careful and don't miss any details." His voice was steady and powerful, giving the team members a sense of security.
Everyone began taking pictures and drawing symbols, each one concentrating completely, not daring to let the slightest slip. The valley echoed with the sound of camera shutters and the team members' whispered conversations.
However, as they busied themselves, the atmosphere grew increasingly eerie. From the forest emanated the cries of unknown animals, sometimes deep, sometimes sharp, as if warning them not to trespass on this mysterious territory. The wind rustled through the trees, and the leaves rustled like countless invisible hands gently caressing their backs, a chilling feeling.
"This place is so weird! I always feel like something's watching us," another team member said uneasily, his voice trembling slightly, and beads of sweat appeared on his forehead. His eyes kept scanning the surroundings, and the fear in his heart spread rapidly like weeds. "Are we going to be trapped here and unable to get out?"
Lin Yu turned his head, looked at him, and comforted him, "Don't scare yourself. Complete the mission." His voice was firm, but his heart was not without ripples. "We are professional investigators. We can't be defeated by fear." He kept encouraging himself in his heart, while also trying to calm the emotions of the team members.
Suddenly, a chilly wind blew by, bringing with it a pungent smell. Suna couldn't help but cover her mouth and nose: "What's that smell? It's so awful."
Lin Yu sniffed cautiously: "Everyone be careful, there might be something wrong."
At this moment, a flash of lightning suddenly streaked across the sky, instantly illuminating the entire valley, casting a pale shadow on the dragon and the crowd. Then thunder roared, like the roar of a god, shaking the earth slightly.
"Oh no, it's going to rain!" shouted a team member.
Lin Yu frowned: "Speed up, we can't be trapped by the rain!"
Big raindrops began to fall, splashing the ground. The team members' clothes were quickly soaked, but they still persisted in recording the marks.
"Captain, I'm ready!"
"I'm done here too!"
Lin Yu looked at everyone: "Okay, pack up and prepare to evacuate!"
Everyone hurriedly packed up their tools and prepared to leave, but at this moment, they found that the road they had come from had become blurred and looked like a huge maze in the rain.
"Captain, where should we go?" a team member asked anxiously.
Lin Yu took a deep breath and said, "Follow me!" Relying on his memory, he led everyone forward in the rain.
The rain blurred my vision and the road beneath my feet became muddy and slippery. Every step was fraught with danger and I could fall if I wasn't careful.
Suddenly, Suna slipped and almost fell.
"Be careful!" Lin Yu grabbed her.
"Thank you." Suna's voice trembled slightly.
Just then, they heard a low roar, as if coming from the depths of the valley.
"What's that sound?" The team members' faces turned even paler.
Lin Yu's heart was filled with worry: "I don't know, but we must leave here as soon as possible!"
Everyone quickened their pace in the rain, their hearts filled with fear and confusion about the unknown...
