Chapter 238: Feeling Uncomfortable and Wanting to Act Like a Coquettish Person

There were no night scenes that night, so we finished the last scene of the day in the evening and then called it a day.

After returning to the hotel, some people were called by the director to discuss tomorrow's arrangements. Those who had nothing to do for the time being made plans to go shopping and watch a movie.

Liu Wangxue was also kept for a while.

Jing Yujun is not a person who likes to procrastinate. He makes decisions and implements them very quickly. This small meeting only lasted about twenty minutes and everything was arranged.

During the afternoon break, Jing Yujun felt that Liu Wangxue's complexion looked a little strange and he looked a little spirited.

He was still wondering if it was because of the heavy workload recently that he was tired? But then he thought again, that's not right, the script was completed ahead of time, and there was not much to be revised during the filming. Her workload as a screenwriter should be the lightest in the crew, right? After the meeting, Liu Wangxue's face seemed to be even uglier.

Ni Jia sat next to her, holding her arm, with a concerned look on his face: "Sister Xuxu, are you okay? I told Xiaoqing to take you to see a doctor this afternoon, but you didn't go. Now it looks like your condition is serious."

Xiaoqing is Ni Jia’s assistant.

Jing Yujun immediately asked, "What's wrong? Are you sick?"

"It's okay," Liu Wangxue waved her hand, "I think I caught a cold. I just need to go back and take a nap."

"Okay, then you should hurry back to your room. Don't go home today. How can you drive in this state?" Jing Yujun moved his chair to make way for her and asked her, "Do you have any cold medicine?"

Ni Jia helped Liu Wangxue stand up and walked out: "I have it there. I'll ask Xiaoqing to send it to Sister Xuxu later."

Jing Yujun took two quick steps to open the door for them, and said to Liu Wangxue, "Take your medicine and have a good rest. I'll give you a day off tomorrow, so don't go to the crew."

"It's okay, just a minor cold. It won't affect my work." Liu Wangxue pulled his arm out of Ni Jia's arms, took two steps to the side, and joked, "I'm not a porcelain doll. Why are you so nervous? Stay away from me. I might infect you. You can't get sick."

Ni Jia subconsciously wanted to follow him, but Jing Yujun stopped her from refuting him. "She's right. Take good care of yourself. The temperature has been abnormal recently. You can't get hurt."

Ni Jia had no choice but to give up because she was the female lead and her condition would affect the progress of the entire crew.

Jing Yujun asked Ni Jia to go back to his room first: "Ask Xiaoqing to bring the medicine over later. Go back and drink some of the cold syrup as a precaution."

"good."

He walked Liu Wangxue to her room and said, "Really? President Du didn't even arrange an assistant for you. You have to do everything by yourself. There's no one to take care of you when you're sick."

"Is this considered talking bad about someone behind their back? Be careful or I'll tell on you." Liu Wangxue said with a smile.

"Save your energy."

"Mr. Du wanted to arrange an assistant for me, but I refused," Liu Wangxue continued.

Because she felt it was unnecessary. She was neither the director nor the protagonist. She was just a small screenwriter and could be said to be the person with the least time in the entire group.

She's not that busy, and there's nothing she needs help with. Isn't it a waste of human resources to assign her an assistant?

Liu Wangxue felt that she was not worthy.

When they reached the door of the room, Jing Yujun stopped and said to her, "How about I send someone to take care of you?"

Liu Wangxue refused immediately, not wanting to cause trouble to anyone: "No, really no, I'm not that squeamish."

"Okay," Jing Yujun didn't force it. "Let Xiaoqing buy you dinner later. Take the medicine after dinner, and then rest quickly. Tell me if there is any problem."

Liu Wangxue made an "OK" gesture and suggested, "Why don't we ask everyone in the crew to take precautions? I think the props teacher seems to be feeling unwell too."

Jing Yujun nodded, and when he got back he asked the life producer to buy cold medicine for everyone, and also asked his assistant to send a message to the group to notify everyone.

Originally she was planning to go home, but now she couldn't. Liu Wangxue closed the door, changed into slippers, and slumped over at the end of the bed. She felt a little dizzy and her lower abdomen a little bloated and painful.

After a while, just as I was about to call Gu Xuelan, my cell phone rang.

She clicked to answer the call, and Gu Xuelan's voice came out: "Xuxu, we're out of spices for stewing meat at home. When you pass by the supermarket on your way back, remember to buy some."

"Mom, I'm not going home today."

Gu Xuelan felt something was wrong when she heard her voice: "What's wrong with you? Are you sick?"

Liu Wangxue curled up, resting her head on her arm, and put her phone on the bed. "I stood on the balcony and enjoyed the breeze for a while after taking a shower last night. Maybe it was because of staying up late and having my period that my resistance dropped, so I caught a cold."

"Do you have a fever?" Gu Xuelan asked.

Liu Wangxue raised her hand to touch her forehead, but she didn't feel hot: "No fever."

“Are there any other symptoms?”

"I just feel a little dizzy," Liu Wangxue said weakly, "and my stomach hurts."

"Is it serious? Does it hurt a lot? Do you have a hot water bottle? Fill it with one to warm yourself up, or ask your colleagues to buy you some heating pads." Gu Xuelan looked worried and muttered, "You didn't have any stomach pain during your period before."

She thought, could it be a sequela of the abortion? That was not right. After the recovery period, she went for a checkup and the doctor said she was recovering well. After returning from the self-driving tour, she went for another checkup, but nothing was found.

The more Gu Xuelan thought about it, the more worried she became. She turned off the fire on the stove, took off her apron and walked towards the bedroom: "Don't worry, I'll be there now, let's go to the hospital to see a doctor."

Liu Wangxue was startled and sat up immediately.

The more I woke up, the more dizzy I felt.

She paused for a moment and kept saying that everything was fine and asked Gu Xuelan not to worry.

In fact, it didn't hurt that much, she just felt uncomfortable and wanted to act coquettishly, but she didn't expect her mother to react so strongly.

After talking for a while, Gu Xuelan finally stopped talking. Then there was a knock on the door. "Writer Liu, are you there? I'm here to bring you some medicine."

Hearing the voice was Xiaoqing, Liu Wangxue went over to open the door.

Xiao Qing handed her the medicine and a bag of things she bought from the convenience store: "Writer Liu, how do you feel? This bag contains medicine and a thermometer. I bought these at a convenience store. There are bread, milk, boiled eggs, and preserved egg and lean meat porridge. They are all hot. You can eat some first."

"Thank you, sorry for the trouble." Liu Wangxue leaned against the door. "Well, I won't invite you to come in and sit down, just in case..."

Xiao Qing thought she was being too polite: "No, no, screenwriter Liu, you should go in and have a rest. My phone is always on. If you need anything, just call me directly."

After Xiaoqing left, Liu Wangxue returned to the room and continued talking to Gu Xuelan. In order to reassure her, she changed to video and showed her the things Xiaoqing sent.

Seeing that someone was taking care of her, Gu Xuelan felt relieved. Then she observed her expression and believed that it was not serious. So she did not insist on coming and reminded her of every detail.
