Chapter 12 The Light of Redemption

Chapter 12 The Light of Redemption

"Qingqing?! Is it really you?" The man looked at her in surprise.

"Doctor Mu?!" Li Qingqing covered her mouth in surprise.

Mu Xingyi was wearing a black suit. He was a head taller than her, with a tall figure, clear facial features, and his smile always gave people a warm feeling.

For some reason, Li Qingqing suddenly thought of Lu Yan. He always looked serious and dignified on the surface, giving people a feeling that strangers should stay away from him, as if this image was unique to their upper-class circle.

"It's me. Long time no see, Qingqing. You've grown into a big girl."

Mu Xingyi looked at Li Qingqing and said, "The last time I saw you, you were still a little girl. I didn't expect you to have changed so much now. I almost didn't recognize you just now."

Li Qingqing blushed and looked at Mu Xingyi embarrassedly.

Mu Xingyi is a Chinese medicine doctor. When Li Qingqing was in junior high school, she lived in a town. At that time, Mu Xingyi happened to be following a public welfare project to provide free medical treatment to the people in the town.

Once, Li Qingqing was beaten by the drunk Xie Hongde again. She fled to an uninhabited hut in the town and hid there. She was seen by Mu Xingyi who was passing by.

He took her to a makeshift medical center, treated her wounds carefully, and took her pulse, discovering that she was severely malnourished.

Mu Xingyi was shocked. It was a different era, and yet some people were still being beaten and abused by their family members.

Mu Xingyi reported the matter to the mayor. After the mayor learned about it, he severely criticized and educated Xie Hongde, and he finally restrained himself.

Later, Mu Xingyi told Li Qingqing that if Xie Hongde hit her again in the future, she should run away in time, and if she was accidentally injured, she should learn to treat the wound herself.

He also told her to study hard so that one day she could become independent and leave such an environment.

From then on, Mu Xingyi's glorious image was imprinted in Li Qingqing's heart. He could know the specific condition of her body just by stretching out his fingers and placing them on her wrist, which made Li Qingqing feel that he knew magic.

Later she learned that this is called taking the pulse, a way of diagnosing illnesses in traditional Chinese medicine.

Since then, Li Qingqing has studied hard, hoping that she can become a Chinese medicine practitioner with "magic" in the future.

But things did not go as planned. Chen Suyun forced her to change her college entrance examination application and go to a normal school.

Li Qingqing was still young at that time and had no power to resist, so she entered the teacher training major at Haihua University.

But she never gave up on the path of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In her spare time after class, she would take the books on Traditional Chinese Medicine and study the academic principles in them by herself.

Over time, she has mastered a lot of theoretical knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine.

"Doctor Mu, why are you coming to our school?" Li Qingqing asked curiously.

"Oh, I opened a private hospital this year and just interviewed two intern nurses at the medical school next door. I heard your school is having a campus recruitment today, so I came over to see if I could find some useful talent."

Mu Xingyi looked at the two people holding resumes and said, "Are you two also looking for internships?"

"Yes, this is my classmate, Chen Lu. We are planning to try our luck today." Li Qingqing smiled stiffly.

Shen Lu nodded politely to Mu Xingyi.

"Really? What are your majors?" Mu Xingyi looked at the two of them curiously.

Li Qingqing was a little embarrassed to speak, but Shen Lu suddenly said to Mu Xingyi: "Doctor Mu, does your hospital recruit Chinese medicine apprentices who only have theoretical knowledge but no practical experience?"

Mu Xingyi looked at her with some confusion. "It depends on the person's aptitude. Some people can grasp things quickly. If they have a master to guide them in practice, they should be able to be well trained."

Li Qingqing knew that Shen Lu was trying to give her a chance. Her cheeks felt a little hot. She always felt that the little she had learned was of no use at all.

Shen Lu took Li Qingqing's arm and said playfully, "I think she's very qualified. I was constipated before, and Qingqing gave me a few acupuncture treatments, which were very effective. She has been self-studying Chinese medicine for several years and has never had a formal practice opportunity. Doctor Mu, would you like to take this opportunity to take this apprentice under your wing?"

Mu Xingyi didn't expect that the person Shen Lu was talking about was actually Li Qingqing.

He thought about it seriously and said, "I'm willing to give Qingqing this opportunity. There aren't many people willing to learn Chinese medicine these days. If Qingqing can reach this level through self-study, it means she has some talent."

He looked at Li Qingqing and said, "Qingqing, what do you say? Are you willing to learn Chinese medicine from me?"

Li Qingqing looked at Mu Xingyi's sincere face and instantly recalled the scene when she first met him in junior high school. At that time, he was just like now, bringing her a ray of light in her dark life.

Li Qingqing suppressed her excitement. Although she knew that a TCM apprentice might not make much money in the early stages, this might be her only chance to get started.

She nodded excitedly, tears glistening in her eyes.

Mu Xingyi looked at the girl walking out of the small town, and suddenly felt a different feeling in his heart, as if the seeds he had planted many years ago had now quietly blossomed into gorgeous flowers in front of him.

The two exchanged WeChat and agreed that Li Qingqing would go to his hospital for internship a week later.

Li Qingqing was very happy. She didn't expect that she actually found an internship after trying her luck today, and it was in her favorite field of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Li Qingqing was so happy that she suddenly remembered that Shen Lu's internship was still unsettled, so she immediately stopped smiling and said, "Lulu, let's continue looking. You see there are a lot of people over there. It should be a good company. Let's go over and take a look."

"No need, my family has already arranged for me to be an intern teacher at Haicheng Middle School." Shen Lu winked at her.

Li Qingqing was stunned. "So you came here specially to accompany me today?"

Shen Lu looked at her dotingly, "If I don't accompany you, you, a person with social anxiety for ten thousand years, will definitely suffer in finding an internship."

Li Qingqing was moved again, "Lulu, you are so kind. I must treat you to dinner tonight."

"Then can I choose the place?" Shen Lu said with difficulty.

"certainly!"

After class in the afternoon, Li Qingqing sent a message to Lu Yan.

[Master Lu, I have something to do tonight. Can I go back later? ]

Five minutes later, the other side replied.

What's going on? Please report it clearly.

Li Qingqing: “…”

However, considering the salary, she still replied politely.

【Invite classmates to dinner. 】

There was no more reply from that side.

In the evening, Shen Lu brought Li Qingqing to a bar not far from Haihua University.

Shen Lu took Li Qingqing's arm, pointed to the sign in front of them and said, "This bar has just opened and is offering a 50% discount. I heard there are many creative dishes. Let's go and try them."

Li Qingqing: "You really take care of my wallet."

As soon as the two entered the door, Li Qingqing saw Mu Xingyi sitting inside chatting with a friend.

The two of them ran over excitedly to greet him, "Doctor Mu, what a coincidence, you are here too?"

Li Qingqing was very happy. She didn't expect that they were so destined to meet each other twice today.

Mu Xingyi was also surprised that they could meet twice in one day. "What a coincidence, Qingqing, are you and classmate Chen here to drink too? Do you want to sit together?" Mu Xingyi enthusiastically invited them both to join.

Li Qingqing was about to agree, but when she turned around, she saw an extremely familiar face.

Lu Yan? !
