Chapter 8 Do you want a divorce?
Wen Xingluo had never slept so soundly before. Those horrible dreams in the past seemed to have disappeared, and his body didn't seem as cold as before. He couldn't fall asleep for a long time.
He slowly opened his eyes and looked at the familiar yet somewhat unfamiliar room. This was the first time he saw his room clearly, and the black fog that had blocked his view had disappeared.
"Awake." Jiang Suisui was sitting on a chair beside him, reading a book in his hand, and asked without raising his eyes.
Wen Xingluo looked at her sitting there. Her long hair, which was originally scattered behind her, was casually tied behind her head with a red ribbon. The afterglow of the setting sun shone on her face, and the fine hair on her face could be seen.
"I slept a long time."
Jiang Suisui looked up at him, casually threw the book in his hand on the table, stood up, walked over to his bed and sat down: "It won't be long. Now that you're awake, let's discuss a business deal."
Wen Xingluo lay on the bed and looked at her with a gentle smile on his face: "I wonder what business the princess wants to discuss with me."
Jiang Suisui kicked off his shoes and sat cross-legged on his bed: "I saved you, right?"
Wen Xingluo thought for a moment and said, "I don't seem to be dead."
When Jiang Suisui heard what he said, his expression turned ugly: This guy wants to default on his debt?
Wen Xingluo: The princess of his family doesn’t seem to be the person he asked others about.
The two of them just stared at each other, but they each had their own little plans in mind.
Jiang Suisui narrowed his eyes and said, "No matter what, it is a fact that I helped the prince get rid of the ghost in the house. You can't deny it."
Wen Xingluo did not refute this time, but nodded obediently: "Yeah."
Jiang Suisui finally felt relieved when he saw him nod. "In that case, Your Highness, can you please settle the bill for me?"
"Pay the bill?" Wen Xingluo looked surprised.
"Of course. I helped you kill a ghost, so you naturally have to give me money. I can't work for free." Jiang Sui said with a pout.
Wen Xingluo looked at her money-obsessed appearance and suddenly discovered another hobby of his princess: greed for money.
"I wonder how much the princess plans to charge?"
Seeing how understanding he was, Jiang Sui's smile became more genuine. He touched his chin and began to consider how much money to charge him.
Wen Xingluo didn't say anything, just looked at her, waiting for the price she offered.
Jiang Suisui looked at his clear eyes and beautiful features, and her heart was in a dilemma. Finally, she uttered two words: "Let it be."
Wen Xingluo laughed when he heard this: "Ten thousand taels of gold."
When Jiang Suisui heard this, her beautiful eyes became as bright as a cat's eyes, and she stretched out her little hand in front of him, waiting for him to give her money.
Wen Xingluo looked at the little hand she extended and said awkwardly, "Princess, I don't have any money right now. Can I buy on credit first?"
Jiang Suisui didn't have time to put down the smile on his face before he remembered what Luo Jiu had said before, that the palace was now short of money.
Wen Xingluo looked at her suddenly depressed face and coughed a few times: "From now on, I will give you my monthly salary until I pay you back."
Jiang Suisui withdrew his hand: "How much salary do you have?"
"The annual silver is 10,000 taels, and the annual grain is 10,000 hu." Wen Xingluo did not hide it.
Jiang Sui was depressed. She had to go without food and drink for a year to come up with ten thousand taels of silver. Wouldn't that mean she would have to stay in this palace for many years?
Wen Xingluo looked at her gloomy expression and coughed a few times: "If you do your job well, His Majesty will also give you another reward."
Jiang Suisui turned to look at him: "Do you have any other errands?"
“It existed before, but…”
Jiang Suisui lowered his head and pondered for a moment, thinking that he might not die if he left the palace. "Forget it, I'll just do a good deed today and I won't take the ten thousand taels of gold."
"Don't want it anymore?" Wen Xingluo was a little surprised. He had just seen her eyes shining when she talked about money, but now she said she didn't want it.
Jiang Suisui looked at the infuriatingly beautiful face in front of her, and finally gritted her teeth and made a decision. She couldn't give up the entire forest for a big tree: "I can refuse the money, but we can get a divorce, or you can divorce me."
Wen Xingluo's eyes widened, and he looked at her in disbelief: "You want a divorce? Why?"
