Chapter 10 Do you regret it?
The Liang family's ancestral home is located in Yishan Manor in Huancheng District. It is the local luxury residence. Only 17 units are available for sale, two of which belong to the Liang family, one in the name of Liang Yanzhang and the other in the name of the eldest son Liang Jing.
The car arrived at the old house around 11 o'clock in the morning.
Liang Jishen didn't get off immediately, but smoked a cigarette in the back seat in an orderly manner.
The bodyguard didn't rush, turned off the engine and waited.
He Sang hates the smell of cigarettes. As a professional habit, he eats a light diet. If he gets hoarse on stage, he might be buried in the snow.
The internal struggles in the drama industry are more intense than in any other industry, especially for the leading role, the mainstay, and the person who performs the finale. It is not uncommon for them to use tricks to replace the main role.
Having finally gained a firm foothold, they are now working with all their might to avoid being forced to step down.
But Liang Jishen was an exception. He Sang liked the smell of cigarettes between his fingers and lips, which was thick, mellow and bitter.
It poured into her mouth, creating a hurricane of infatuation.
"Aren't you going in?"
The smoke was so thick that Liang Ji squinted his eyes. "Come in."
He threw the cigarette butt out of the car window and walked towards the courtyard.
He Sang also got out of the car and followed.
There is a golden nanmu sofa in the Chinese-style living room, and the coffee table is also made of small-leaf red sandalwood, which is very valuable. Between the sofa and the coffee table, Liang Yanzhang is wearing an ivory white Tang suit, and his demeanor is majestic without being angry.
On the day of the birthday party, He Sang was only able to see his general outline from a distance. But after taking a closer look today, he didn't look like he was sixty at all. He had few wrinkles and was not sagging at all. He was indeed the handsome man that Li Zhen had mentioned. All the men in the Liang family were handsome.
"You've become quite capable." Liang Yanzhang added a spoonful of spring water to the teapot. "Bring her here."
Just as the bodyguard was about to pull He Sang away, Liang Jishen knocked him away with a punch and flexed his wrist a few times. "I helped you negotiate the land that the Liang and Zhang families were competing for."
"So what?"
He put his arm around He Sang's shoulders, asked her to sit down, and stood beside her. "What do you mean now?"
"I didn't blame you, but you blamed me." Liang Yanzhang laughed in anger, "Can't the Liang family survive without you?"
"No one can do it without me." Liang Jishen rolled up his shirt sleeves calmly, "Then why did you look for me?"
"Who are you venting your anger on, you bastard?"
The ashtray came flying towards him, and he dodged to the side, and it hit the mahogany screen behind him, and there was shards of glass all over the floor.
The bodyguard hurriedly tried to smooth things over, "Director Liang felt sorry for the Third Young Master and came forward to bail him out. Otherwise, how could you have gotten out so easily?"
Liang Jishen didn't buy it. "It's not about bailing me out, it's about bailing out the Liang family's reputation."
"Thanks to you, the Liang family has long lost face." Liang Yanzhang snorted coldly, picked up the teacup, and sipped the tea slowly.
After finishing his tea, he looked at He Sang and said, "You are quite good at causing trouble."
She tensed up, her back straight, and said nothing.
"Keep a low profile recently and don't do anything wrong." Liang Yanzhang spoke again, "Your eldest brother is returning to China. Many eyes are watching the Liang family. If you make the slightest mistake, it will affect your eldest brother's reputation."
Liang Jishen took off his coat and gave it to the nanny, "You should warn your second brother about this."
"Chi Hui is more respectable than you." Liang Yanzhang glanced at him, "At least he didn't cause any trouble at the company."
He Sang put his legs together, rubbed his buttocks impatiently, and tugged at the corner of Liang Jishen's clothes, "Where is the bathroom?"
He tilted his head. The entrance hall was inlaid with a viewing fish pond, and above it was a gilded public pool table. "You can wash your hands there."
Her face flushed, "I want to go to the bathroom..."
Liang Jishen looked at her, wanting to smile but not quite. He stood up and took her upstairs. When they reached the bathroom door, he pushed it open and said, "I'll wait for you here."
He Sang was not used to the unfamiliar environment and knew that the Liang family members were not friendly to her, so she made a quick decision. When she washed her hands, it was quiet outside.
"are you still there?"
No response.
She panicked, quickly pulled up her pants, and turned the door lock. "Liang Jishen?"
Still no one answered.
He Sang stuck her head out and looked around. A shadow passed by the corner of the wall. A man stood in front of her. His collar was loose, his belt was tied tightly, and his waist was narrow and straight.
The color of his stubble was darker than in the morning, and the smell was stronger.
He Sang shuddered and leaned back, "You did it on purpose."
Liang Jishen's eyes flickered with a fleeting smile, "Is it done?"
She breathed a sigh of relief, "Yeah."
"What are you afraid of?"
He Sang raised his eyes and said, "I'm not afraid."
He was well-mannered in this regard. He didn't tease women or expose their true intentions. He just stated the facts, "I forgot to tell you, the sound insulation in this bathroom is not good."
He heard the sound of water flowing inside.
He Sang blushed, "Why are you standing so close?"
"Aren't you afraid that I'll leave?" He put his hands in his pockets. He was much taller than her. "How can I stand far away?"
Liang Jishen finished speaking and walked ahead, with He Sang following closely. When they passed the guest bedroom, a maid who was cleaning stopped him and asked, "Are you staying overnight?"
"Keep."
The nanny looked past him and looked at He Sang, "Two rooms?"
He glanced behind him, responded, and went into the bedroom to change clothes.
Liang Yanzhang was not in the living room at the moment. Only the nanny was busy coming in and out. He Sang went downstairs alone and met Liang Chihui and his assistant at the corner of the first and second floors.
He untied his tie while explaining his business.
The air was filled with a deep, mature and charming masculine scent.
It's hard to tell if it's woody, floral, or a blend of both.
He Sang stopped and said, "Mr. Liang."
The man also looked at her and said gently, "You're here."
It seemed like a very familiar tone.
She smiled reservedly, "Director Liang sent a car to pick me up."
Liang Chihui put the tie on his wrist and asked, "Did you come back with the third brother?"
He Sang pursed his lips and said, "It's neither yes nor no."
Fortunately, he didn't ask too many questions. When they walked side by side, the man suddenly called her, "Miss He, did you lose something?"
She subconsciously felt her pockets and found her keys and cell phone.
Liang Chihui reminded, "Your earring fell in the hospital corridor."
She did lose an earring on the day of the follow-up visit, but she had no recollection of where she lost it. “So you found it.”
The assistant went to the car to retrieve the earrings and handed them to Liang Chihui first. He Sang stretched out his hand. The man was very gentlemanly and did not touch her. He just held the earrings above her hand and gently let go. The earrings fell into her palm with a cool feeling.
"Thank you, Mr. Liang."
Liang Chihui nodded, "You're welcome."
He turned at the end, and the faint masculine scent dissipated.
