Chapter 246 I Can’t Bear to Leave

Chapter 246 I Can’t Bear to Leave

Back in the second bedroom, Liang Jishen felt like he had been drained of all his energy. He didn't even bother to take off his clothes and just lay on the bed with a pale face.

He Sang checked his body temperature and found that he didn't have a fever, but there was a thin layer of sweat on his forehead. He wiped it off, but it seeped back again. In just three to five minutes, his face became even paler.

"Headache?"

He hummed, his eyes closed.

He Sang walked around to the head of the bed and sat down, holding his head, fixing it on his chest, and massaging it gently.

The troubles in other provinces have not been resolved, and there are a lot of disturbances in Hebei Province. Liang Jishen has been too tired from running around these two days and looks shockingly haggard.

"You didn't go back this afternoon. Did you inform Gu Jianghai?"

"I have."

"Any news from the supplier?"

It felt like needles were pricking his head, and Liang Jishen couldn't bear it anymore. He turned over and buried himself in He Sang's arms, "No."

Her skin had a faint smell of sweat and fragrance, and there were teeth marks on her collarbone, which were left by him biting her in the swimming pool's locker room during the day when he was aroused.

Liang Jishen sucked on the mark.

He Sang felt itchy and avoided him, "You have a headache, but you're still not honest?"

He kissed her again. The more she dodged, the more fiercely he kissed her. He licked her until she was itchy and begged for mercy. Liang Jishen stopped and chuckled against her chest, "Where have you been just now?"

"I'm delivering the car keys to my second brother." She hesitated for a moment, "I have a performance this week."

Liang Jishen's voice was deep and hoarse, "Is it important?"

"It's a big show, and I'm the leading actress. I can't be absent."

He always respected her profession and had no objection. "I'll have Cheng Xun pick you up at the theater after the performance."

He Sang took a deep breath, and a burning sensation spread in her nasal cavity, making her internal organs twist. She hugged Liang Jishen tightly, wishing that their bones and blood could merge into one.

He had thick, black hair, and he was as hard as steel. Except for her, he was always stubborn and refused to give in.

He Sang stroked the hard stubble on his chin and said, "You are not allowed to investigate Guanghe Group. I mentioned it before, but you didn't listen."

"I know what you mean. There's something wrong with Guanghe Group. Publicly, you have to help the province recover its assets. Privately, this involves the Liang family, and my father. It happened right under your nose. If you don't investigate, you'll be hard-pressed to get over it."

"Guanghe Group is under the jurisdiction of Zhao Kai of the Municipal Bureau. You are no longer Inspector Liang, so there is no need to wade into this muddy water. As for my father, I am unwilling to sacrifice your future and safety in exchange for the truth about him being revealed."

"When I first met you, I had selfish motives. I wanted you to investigate. Now, I don't want you to take any risks."

He Sang talked a lot, but Liang Jishen never responded.

He fell asleep.

After taking off his trousers and socks, He Sang covered him with a blanket, held his hand, and fell asleep peacefully.

Liang Jishen went to bed early and woke up early the next day. At seven o'clock, He Sang was still drowsy. He was already dressed and hugged her, feeding her half a cup of warm water. "I'm going back to the province first. Come over after you finish your performance."

"Your headache is gone?" He Sang tugged at his sleeve. He drank some water, and his sleepiness faded a little. "Remember to go to the pharmacy and buy some painkillers. Mrs. Qiu doesn't have the right brand in her medicine cabinet."

A smile appeared in his eyes, "I'll remember it."

"I told Sister Rong to make soy milk last night and put it in a thermos. You can take one."

Liang Jishen was helpless, "Okay."

"You should stop using the stimulant oil; it stimulates your nerves. Put a pot of mint in the office." He Sang climbed up and clung to his waist, clinging to him. "Rest when you're tired. You always force yourself. Who will take care of you when you're sick?"

"You take care of me." He leaned over and kissed her lips. "I'm used to you taking care of me."

He Sang's expression darkened for a second, and he turned away. "You don't take care of your body, and you deserve it. I don't care about you."

"Really?"

"in spite of."

"I don't believe it." Liang Jishen wiped the corners of her eyes, which were wet. She loved to sweat when she slept and occasionally had hysterics. Especially in the six months they were together, she was always worried and had nightmares and woke up crying. She covered her mouth and didn't dare to disturb him.

In fact, Liang Jishen was a light sleeper, and he immediately became alert when she hummed.

Gradually, after enduring that half year, she slept soundly again.

"Get up and wash your face. You're as dirty as a kitten."

He stood up straight, straightened his clothes, and walked out of the bedroom.

The tall and familiar silhouette suddenly disappeared into the distance. He Sang felt a soreness in her throat, unable to vent it or swallow it. She curled up in the quilt in a daze until the sound of a car engine came from the courtyard. She leaned against the second-floor window, staring at his back in a daze.

The morning sun shone down, and Liang Jishen walked with very steady steps. He really should be so high-spirited. These days, she had watched him surrounded by crises, and her heart was filled with anxiety.

She didn't expect that the powerful and wealthy family was so complicated and heartless, and Liang Yanzhang even plotted against his own son.

Liang Jishen sensed something at this moment, and suddenly stopped and looked up.

Their eyes met and he waved his hand. In the bright light and shadow, he looked handsome and tall.

He Sang was like a puppet, all her strength and soul rebelling in an instant, bursting out. She grabbed the window frame, "Liang Jishen!"

The man was about to get into the car when he stopped again.

He Sang hastily threw on a coat and stumbled towards the stairs. At the corner between the first and second floors, he tripped and fell on the gap between the steps. The "bang" sound startled Sister Rong in the kitchen. Sister Rong's eyes widened with fear, and she hurriedly helped him up, "Where did you fall?"

She pushed Sister Rong away and staggered out of the entrance.

Liang Jishen heard Sister Rong's shout. His face turned grim. "Did you fall and bleed?"

He Sang was wearing one slipper; the other was missing. His white, greasy feet stepped on the stone slabs, and his toes bounced nervously. "The ground is too slippery."

"Wouldn't you slip if you weren't so impulsive? Why didn't I fall?" Liang Jishen was filled with anger. Instead of hugging her, he picked her up roughly, held her under his armpits, and carried her to the stone bench in the southwest of the yard, where he dropped her heavily.

It made her butt feel numb.

"Why are you yelling..." She said aggrievedly, "I just can't bear to leave you."

Liang Jishen stood condescendingly, remaining silent.

Sister Rong came out with a towel and slippers. "Oh, Miss He is young, she is tired of you! You are old and don't have the energy to talk about love, she wants to talk."

"You're already old?" Liang Jishen's expression became more frightening. "Can you even speak?"

Sister Rong shuddered, stuffed the towel into He Sang's hand, and hurried back to the living room.
