Chapter 276 Fainted in front of her

Chapter 276 Fainted in front of her

"Just what?" Ji Xilan wondered.

"It's just that men are afraid of marrying the wrong wife, and women are afraid of marrying the wrong man. Marriage is a lifelong event. Madam Yao from the second house is the best example. Mr. Liang's big green hat has been laughed at by the outside world for thirty years. With the previous experience as a lesson, you must open your eyes. The Liang family is a famous and prestigious family and cannot tolerate any stain."

Even if Ji Xilan was stupid, he could still hear the hidden meaning, "What do you mean?"

"Hmm..." Mrs. Fang waved her hand. "Old Fang is popular, and I don't want to make enemies for him. The Second and Third Young Masters are both more powerful than each other. I'm only taking the risk of speaking out because of our friendship."

"Second brother?"

Mrs. Fang lowered her voice mysteriously. "That day in the People's Hospital's bathroom, I ran into him and He Sang eating the same bowl of wontons, chatting and laughing. I was going to tell you so you'd be careful. Everyone knows that the second and third houses don't get along. He Sang is with the third young master, and then with the second young master. What if she's on the second house's side? She'd chew you up like a log. But the second young master chased me upstairs and gave me a threatening look. I was afraid of him, so I didn't mention it."

“Eating the same bowl of wontons?”

Ji Xilan understood He Sang's personality. She was a slow warmer and shy at heart. On the first night they stayed at the old house, she refused to live with the third brother and slept in separate rooms. Although their relationship was already open, she still paid attention to the impact and did not show off at her "husband's house". The hospital was crowded with people and gossip, and eating a bowl of wontons was a kind of tea-like behavior that did not suit her.

"Mrs. Fang, are you dazzled?"

Mrs. Fang pondered for a second. "He Sang ate with the lid of the box, not from a bowl. The key is that they shouldn't be alone. Eating in the ward with you and Director Liang present is upright, but sneaking in the bathroom..."

Ji Xilan's expression was not very good. "I haven't encountered it before."

"You're going to the nursery on the fourth floor now." Mrs. Fang raised her chin. "Mrs. Cui just finished."

Mrs. Cui's granddaughter was probably hungry and started crying. She tried to comfort her for a while but failed. Mrs. Cui hurried downstairs to call the nanny. She was only paying attention to the child and did not recognize Ji Xilan who was coming towards her. Ji Xilan angrily walked past her and went straight to the man and woman outside the nursery.

"What are you doing here?"

He Sang couldn't help but shudder, "Auntie..."

Ji Xilan looked at her and Liang Chihui. As both were women, they were very sensitive to the magnetic field of the opposite sex. The atmosphere between them was definitely not that of a second brother and his future sister-in-law.

It’s hard to describe how ambiguous it is, but there is a hidden energy in it.

She was half-believing and half-doubting at first. After all, Mrs. Fang was an outsider, and He Sang was a family member. Ji Xilan didn't want to wrongly accuse her, so she had to believe this scene even if she didn't want to.

"You didn't go to work at the theater, nor did you accompany the third child. What were you busy with?" Ji Xilan had a bad attitude and looked like he was going to accuse her.

He Sang lowered his head and said, "I'm busy with other things."

"Oh?" Ji Xilan unscrewed the lid of the thermos and walked in front of her. "Does the third brother know?"

"He...knows."

Before he finished speaking, a whole pot of rice porridge poured onto He Sang's head, covering his forehead and his entire face.

Even Liang Chihui was not prepared for the sudden action. He quickly grabbed Ji Xilan's hand and twisted it hard. In severe pain, the thermos that was originally intended to be thrown at He Sang fell to the ground.

He Sang closed his eyes and remained motionless, letting the rice soup flow out.

Fortunately, it was warm, not scalding hot, otherwise I would have been burned and got a scar.

"Second brother, you're rebelling!" Ji Xilan couldn't break free and roared at him, "I'm your stepmother in name only, how dare you lay hands on me?"

"You are unkind, so I dare not be unjust." Liang Chihui did not let go, holding her tightly, "The hospital is not a place for you to act like a spoiled brat."

Ji Xilan was even more annoyed. "He Sang is from the third house. If she doesn't follow the rules, I have the right to deal with her. It's not the second house's turn to make decisions!"

"Really?" Liang Chihui smiled sinisterly. "You might as well ask the third brother first, and then talk to me about how to deal with her."

The elevator at the end of the corridor slowly opened. He Sang sensed something and slowly opened his eyes.

The sticky soup stuck to her eyelashes, and there was chaos in front of her. Liang Jishen was wearing a wrinkled white T-shirt and trousers. The back of his hand was bruised and swollen, with tape from the IV on it. He was so thin that he almost didn't look like himself. He had a broad frame, so he didn't look thin lying on the hospital bed, but now he stood there, looking so desolate, gray and dull.

Countless emotions surged out of his eyes, but in just a moment, they were calm again.

"What are you making a fuss about?"

Ji Xilan pointed at He Sang indignantly, "Mrs. Fang has hinted to me several times that she's not a good woman. Would Mrs. Fang lie to me? If Fang Anyi liked you, the Fang family might have selfishly broken you up. Fang Anyi and you have no connection anymore, so why would she lie to me? You were sick and in the hospital, but she ignored you and secretly had an affair with the second son. She's truly audacious!"

Liang Jishen's pupils were bloodshot, and waves of heat surged in his throat. He tasted the sweet taste of blood and covered it with his handkerchief. "She didn't ignore it—"

He coughed violently, as if he had choked on his breath and couldn't breathe. His lips were frighteningly pale and his face was blue and purple.

"I saw it with my own eyes!" Ji Xilan was disappointed with him, suspecting that he had been bewitched by a vixen. "She has a criminal record! The uproar in other provinces has caused such a stir, and you haven't learned your lesson?"

"That's a false accusation..." Liang Jishen held on, gritting his teeth. A flame surged through his body, burning him to the point of collapse. He leaned forward, his right hand pressed against the wall. "I haven't eaten in three days. You and Yao Wenji were fighting over the family fortune in my father's ward. Did you ever care about me? She made porridge and soup, secretly brought them to the ward, washed my clothes, gave me massages, and cooled me down. Do you have the right to blame her?"

There was a layer of unfathomable fog in Liang Chihui's eyes, and it was impossible to tell whether he was happy or angry.

Ji Xilan glared at him. "You're good at handling cases and doing business, so why are you so foolish when it comes to women? This is her way of tricking you! The more you think of her good things, the more you suffer."

Liang Jishen's face paled again. "Don't embarrass her or bully her anymore." He endured it, a little unsteady, and used all his strength to utter each word. "She is no longer from the third house."

"Don't worry, I'm here to help you get justice, aren't I?" Ji Xilan supported him and patted his back to calm him down. "You've been so good to her, but now the second son is the chairman and has inherited the Liang Group. His net worth is different and he's richer than you. Yet, she turned against him and ruthlessly climbed up the social ladder! I warned you a long time ago, but you didn't listen."

Liang Jishen wanted to refute, but as soon as he moved the handkerchief away, his cough intensified. He suppressed it and spoke intermittently, "She is not that kind of woman. No matter what you say, I don't believe it."

He Sang felt a sharp pain in his chest.

It was no use trying to calm down for a long time. The stinging and tearing pain made it impossible for her to breathe. Her flesh and blood were hollowed out inch by inch, and she lost all consciousness.

After Liang Jishen coughed for the last time, he fell forward like a collapsing mountain.

There was traces of coughed-up blood between his lips and teeth. It wasn't much, but the shocking bright red color seeped into He Sang's vision. Her whole world was covered in blood.

The taut string suddenly broke, and she subconsciously rushed over, picked up Liang Jishen, and shouted at the top of her lungs, "Nurse! The patient has fainted!"
