Chapter 404 Meeting Him

Chapter 404 Meeting Him

Assistant Fan carried his briefcase to the study and waited.

A breeze blew from the osmanthus trees in the courtyard, causing the lampshade beside it to sway. The milky white lace edge was adorned with small bells, and Liang Chihui was touched by something. He suddenly softened, hugged He Sang, and whispered coaxingly in her ear, "Call me."

He Sang was unable to withstand his mood swings and remained dazed.

Liang Chihui slowly stroked the corners of her eyes and her lips, as if he was depicting a piece of jade, first carving it and then destroying it. He loved this piece of jade very much, but also hated that this piece of jade did not belong to him.

"Call me."

"Chi Hui..." He Sang's voice was hoarse.

She couldn't avoid the man's short hair in her sight. Liang Chihui's hard stubble was close at hand. His collar was loose, revealing his bulging Adam's apple. His posture was so intimate, yet so dangerous and unpredictable.

"What did you call me before?" Liang Chihui leaned against her gently, "You called me Second Brother, right?"

He Sang didn't understand what he meant.

His warm lips pressed against hers, and he spoke slowly, "I'm a little regretful. Perhaps the relationship between Second Brother and Sister-in-law is a good fit. If we advance a little, we're family; if we retreat a little, we're close friends. Why do we have to hate each other until today?"

Liang Chihui's breath was too hot, in stark contrast to her cool body temperature.

He Sang was confused and trapped in his world of ice and fire.

The man buried his head in her neck for a long time, then stood up with determination, stepped over the mess, and went upstairs.

Her whole body collapsed limply.

In the study, Liang Chihui put a towel on his forehead to cool down. He witnessed the whole process of Tong Er being arrested at the Salt Lake Snack Street. The wind was strong on the shore, and he was wearing thin clothes, so he caught a cold and had a fever.

Assistant Fan handed him a fever-reducing pill and asked, "Is Lawyer Wang one of our people?"

"Half."

"Where's the other half?"

Liang Chihui took the pill, put it in his mouth, and took a sip of water. "That half is to leave a way out for myself and do a favor to the third brother. If I lose, he will be credited with reporting the case and won't be considered an accomplice. If I win, at least he is working for me on the surface, and he has the leverage over me. I dare not settle the score later and be branded as a traitor."

Assistant Fan was still apprehensive. "He's so smooth and intelligent. Fortunately, you were on guard against him."

"It's impossible to guard against it." Liang Chihui felt a bitter taste on the tip of his tongue, which spread all the way down his throat and into his heart. He drank a whole glass of water before the bitterness subsided. "He's the leader of the legal team. We can't hide the company's internal financial details from him. If he betrays us, it will be a fatal blow."

"The most fatal one wasn't Lawyer Wang, nor was it Ni Hong. It was Miss He. I tried to persuade you, and Mr. Ni tried even more, and you got angry at Mr. Ni for this."

Liang Chihui remained silent, like a still sculpture.

Assistant Fan understood that Miss He was stepping on his weak spot and betraying him again and again. He was completely unable to satisfy or warm her up, and he was about to give up.

"You have given a lot without asking for anything in return, and Miss He has not been moved. Instead of wasting your energy, you should try to reduce the damage. Miss He is of great use." Assistant Fan tested his intentions.

He still didn't respond.

After a long while, Liang Chihui walked out of the study and opened the door of the second bedroom next door. "I'm tired."

He Sang kept vomiting from dusk till dawn, and the nanny went in and out to serve him. Liang Chihui also didn't sleep well, but he held his breath and didn't pass it.

She suffered and endured this hardship for the third child.

At five o'clock, the vomiting subsided.

The nanny knocked on the door, probably to report the situation. Liang Chihui opened his eyes and ignored her. The nanny knocked a few times and left angrily.

......

He Sang walked out of the master bedroom feeling dizzy that morning. When she stood at the stairs, she froze.

Liang Jing and Liang Jishen sat on the sofa. The tea in the teapot was empty and the peach pieces in the fruit plate were oxidized. They stayed there for at least half an hour.

Liang Jishen's figure has become much thinner, his hair seems to be a little longer, and the line of his jaw is thinner and clearer.

He Sang felt like he was weightless, his pulse pounding.

Their eyes met, and the man was like a whirlpool under the deep sea, surging and surging. He stood up suddenly.

"Third brother." Liang Jing stopped him calmly.

He paused, his knuckles clenching and cracking.

He Sang got up but had no time to wash up. He had been tossing and turning with morning sickness all night, and he looked paler and more haggard than ever before.

A trace of heartache appeared on Liang Jishen's face. He knew it was wrong, but he still couldn't control himself and strode towards her.

"Third Young Master." The bodyguard stationed at the escalator stopped him, "The Madam lives on the second floor. It's inconvenient for you to enter. Please step aside."

"Can you stop me?" Liang Jishen used brute force to push him away, and the bodyguard staggered. Then, the rest of the bodyguards surrounded him from all directions.

There are at least six or seven of them.

He Sang lived in Bixi Mansion on and off for half a month. There were four bodyguards on duty in two teams. They were coaches of the boxing club. Liang Chihui hired them with a high salary. They were in their early thirties. She didn't know that there were four more lurking in the dark.

Probably to guard against enemies.

Liang Jishen was extremely furious at this moment, with bloodshot eyes that had turned into a crimson red. The bodyguards were unable to stop him and were no match for him.

Liang Jing's eyes were losing control, and he shouted at him, "Third brother! What did I tell you?"

He gasped, his shoulders moving rapidly.

"This is not Jinyue Mansion." Liang Jing's reminder was obvious, "I didn't come here with you to cause trouble."

The redness in Liang Jishen's eyes gradually faded away, and he sat down in silence.

"Why, are the eldest and third brother worried about He Sang following me?" Liang Chihui watched Liang Jishen sweep through the group of bodyguards in silence. His tone was gentle, but his expression was stern. "The third brother is young and reckless, and the eldest brother is a steady man. If I allow him to fight in my private residence and I don't give you face, don't blame me."

"He Sang is the second wife's wife. I have nothing to worry about. The third brother has a bad temper. Please bear with him." Liang Jing repeated solemnly, "I came to you with good intentions. What I am worried about is whether you did it or not."

"I didn't do it."

"Are you involved?"

Liang Chihui picked up the teacup slowly and said, "Brother, with what status do you question me?"

"As the eldest brother."
