Chapter 64: Unable to See the Light
"No..." He Sang said weakly. If Liang Jishen hadn't held her, she would have fallen to the ground. "I'll go back by myself later."
Mrs. Qiu smiled and said, "Okay."
She walked out of the bathroom and closed the door.
He Sang was filled with shame and anger, his eyes watery, "It's all your fault—"
Liang Jishen helped her put on her clothes, then leaned over and touched her sweaty forehead. "Am I impatient?"
He Sang turned his head away and said, "Urgent."
The man chased her and kissed her, not so deeply anymore, more like a post-play to savor the aftertaste, "I'm helping you relieve it."
Liang Jishen did help her, but he was the one who felt comfortable, while she was the most tired.
Every muscle and bone in her body felt sore and swollen, and the soles of her feet were numb.
He Sang and he returned to Zhuangyuan Pavilion one after another. Mrs. Qiu looked at her closely, her eyes were like autumn water, her cheekbones were red, and her lips were swollen and shiny from sucking.
She exchanged glances with Mr. Qiu and smiled without saying anything.
"The food is getting cold, Xiao He. You should try the mushrooms and asparagus. They're the freshest seasonal dish. They're flown in from the south. Two-thirds of the bamboo shoots are cut off, leaving only the core. They're very juicy."
Before Mrs. Qiu finished speaking, Liang Jishen had already picked up a piece of food with his chopsticks and put it on her plate.
He Sang tilted her head and stared at him. He was chatting with Director Gu and didn't pay attention to her. Instead, he picked up several dishes in succession, filling his small plate.
Director Gu drank his wine and looked at He Sang. "Director Huang told me that the kid from the Chen family went to the theater to pick a fight with you?"
She was extremely hungry, and the fierce battle in the bathroom was too exhausting. She swallowed her food without bothering to answer.
"Which kid from the Chen family?" Liang Jishen frowned.
"The eldest son of the Chen family, Chen Li, has been a troublemaker since childhood and has grown up to be a second-generation rich kid." Director Gu was very surprised, "You don't know!"
Liang Jishen's eyes fell on He Sang, "Why didn't you say anything?"
His tone was not very good. He was very busy at work, so he didn't call, and she didn't call either.
I would rather suffer a loss than give up.
"Didn't I tell you? If you have any trouble, contact Director Gu. If that doesn't work, contact Cheng Xun."
"Hey..." Director Gu waved his hands, "It's useless to look for me. I failed your trust. It's not convenient for me to show up in the Chen family's influence."
Liang Ji glared at him.
Director Gu stepped forward and said, "This kid's stepfather got promoted and has a higher status than me. I can't afford to offend him."
"What level?"
Director Gu whispered a position.
Liang Jishen chuckled, "I'll treat him."
"You must be older than his stepfather. The general manager of Zhonghai Group is at the level of a director, right?"
The man didn't say anything, his eyes still fixed on He Sang.
She fidgeted restlessly and quietly stretched her trouser legs under the table. The more she stretched, the more uncomfortable she felt, and her thighs became sticky.
Mrs. Qiu noticed, "Xiao He, is the chair too hard?"
He Sang forced a smile, "A little bit."
"Waiter!" Mrs. Qiu snapped her fingers. "Please replace the sheepskin chairs at table A1 in the west area."
The waiter moved the chair, and He Sang grabbed the tablecloth, his whole body stiff and motionless.
"Xiao He?" Mrs. Qiu was puzzled. "Let's change the leather chair so it won't feel too hard to sit on."
He Sang put his knees together and stood up carefully, and something suddenly came to his mind.
She was as dry as a boiled shrimp and sat down quickly.
A gleam of light flashed in Liang Jishen's eyes, and he understood the reason.
"I forgot." He suddenly whispered three words.
He Sang was confused, "What did you forget?"
The man tapped the edge of the table with his middle finger. "Wear a condom."
Her face flushed immediately, and she felt angry and annoyed.
Director Gu's ears were sharp. "What are you wearing?"
"Wear gloves." Liang Jishen answered fluently.
The dinner ended at seven o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Qiu drove He Sang away, and Liang Jishen got into Director Gu's car.
Although everyone knew it, they didn't reveal the truth after all, and he still chose to handle this relationship in a low-key manner.
Neither deny nor confirm.
He Sang was feeling depressed all the way, feeling that he was still not in a good position to face the light.
When she arrived at Lishui Mansion, she hung a Do Not Disturb sign on her door, took a quick shower, and climbed into bed.
Director Gu drove slowly. He encountered a difficult case at the beginning of the year and sought Liang Jishen's opinion, talking for half an hour.
Liang Jishen returned to the room, took down the sign at the door, laughed, and swiped his card to open the door.
The quilt was bulging. He Sang had fallen into his old habit again. He covered himself up with only a tuft of hair on the pillow.
She was tired, having stood in the bathroom for over forty minutes. He wanted to finish quickly, but his emotions were high, so he did it one more time.
The man took off his windbreaker, didn't argue with her, and went into the bathroom to take a shower.
......
Opposite the Lishui Mansion is the Provincial Museum. As night fell, the corner tower was pitch black and the wind made the iron gate creak. He Sang was timid, so he bought a night light and kept it on all night.
At first glance, it's very warm.
Liang Jishen withdrew his gaze. He was sitting in the living room. There was a bottle of refreshing essential oil on the table. It was not He Sang's, nor was it his.
It was found from the crack of the sofa.
The bottle had only a faint smell of nicotine, indicating the other person wasn't a heavy smoker.
He Sang didn't tell him that there were any guests.
He leaned back in his chair and lit a cigarette. The lights were dimmed. Cheng Xun pushed the door open quietly. "Liang Chihui has been here."
No wonder the thing looks familiar.
Ever since Liang Chihui took over the business department and engineering department of Liang Group, his carefree days have come to an end. He has to socialize, negotiate, and go on business trips and inspections, and he has to work day and night, and he always carries essential oils with him.
"Did my father send him?"
"I guess Liang Chihui and Miss He have no connection at all, so he has no reason to visit."
Liang Jishen handed the medicine bottle to Cheng Xun, "Give it back to him personally."
Cheng Xun rushed back to the old house overnight. Liang Chihui was packing clothes in the guest room, preparing to move back to Bixi Mansion.
He lived in Yard No. 14 all year round and never brought a woman back with him. Even when he was at his most romantic, he protected his private territory very strictly.
On some occasions, Liang Chihui did play around in a flashy way, but this person was not serious when it came to love and romance. All the men around him were intoxicated and indulged in the sweet and gentle love until they were drunk, but he was the only one who buttoned up and did not delay his business, as if he was not involved at all.
Therefore, no matter how many scandals he had, Liang Yanzhang was quite confident in him.
Liang Chihui glanced at the essential oil bottle in Cheng Xun's hand, and his expression froze.
"Second Young Master, this is yours, right?"
He straightened up and walked to the sofa chair, "Did the third brother ask you to deliver it?"
"You know what Deputy Secretary Liang means."
Liang Chihui smiled, "I don't understand."
Cheng Xun also became serious, "Miss He is in another province, and Deputy Secretary Liang does not allow anyone from the Liang family to contact her."
"Including father?"
"include."
Liang Chihui's smile grew wider, "I see."
After Cheng Xun left, Liang Chihui picked up the bottle of essential oil and went to the study.
Ji Xilan brought a glass of milk and happened to be there too. He hid it in his sleeve without making a sound, "Aunt Ji."
"Second son, aren't you asleep yet?" Ji Xilan glanced at his sleeve with a sly look in her eyes. "Your mother looks much better. Sister Wen Ji gave birth to a good son who is taking good care of her by her bedside. Unlike me, I haven't seen the third son in half a month."
"The third brother is the sole leader of the provincial enterprise, and I don't have as much free time as him." Liang Chihui was too lazy to be polite anymore, "I'm going to discuss the company's affairs with my father."
"Then you guys discuss it first." Ji Xilan smiled kindly and went down the stairs the same way he came.
As Liang Chihui entered the room, a purple clay teapot was thrown against the door and broke into seven or eight pieces. One of the pieces scraped his nose bridge, and blood oozed out, flowing down his handsome lips and nose, over his jaw, and solidified on his Adam's apple.
Liang Yanzhang stood there, his eyes wide open, "Second brother, you dare to deceive me!"
The man calmly picked up the broken pieces and threw them into the trash can, then wiped the blood off his face. "He Sang lives in the Lishui Mansion in the city center, a hotel in the Huizhou style."
Liang Yanzhang sneered, "I asked you that day, why didn't you tell me?"
"The time is not right."
Liang Chihui casually threw away the bloodstained red handkerchief. "The Chen family was giving He Sang a hard time at the theater. I helped her, but I couldn't hide it from the Third Brother. He'll guess I was scouting for you in other provinces and will be wary of the Liang family. If you go there now and force the Third Brother to turn against you, it will definitely end in embarrassment."
Liang Yanzhang's expression softened considerably upon hearing this. "So that's what you're worried about."
