Chapter 92 Stand Up for Her
The female colleague was somewhat intimidated by his aura, "Only Sister Sang was transferred from outside."
"Really?" Liang Jishen's eyes lingered over them one by one. "This year, your theater transferred twelve people from outside, five men and seven women. Ten are actors, and two are stagehands."
The female colleague said stubbornly, "But you don't know these twelve people except Sister Sang..."
"Since you know the relationship between me and her, you should also know what to do." His eyes flashed, his face frighteningly serious. "Where there are many women, there are bound to be quarrels and conflicts. I never bother with women about trivial matters, but if anyone has evil intentions behind my back, I will notify the theater. I think Dean Huang will give me this favor."
They stood there, silent.
He Sang's chest was pounding.
Dirty hands and feet.
Do you mean secretly taking photos?
Did he know?
Given Liang Jishen's personality, if he knew about it, he would never be able to face her calmly.
After all, the man in the photo is Liang Chihui, who is the most taboo.
"What are you thinking about?"
She came back to her senses and looked up at Liang Jishen, "Aren't you afraid of rumors anymore?"
"When have I ever been afraid?"
He reached out and lifted the strands of hair from her temples and tucked them behind her ears. It was an ordinary action, but when he did it in public, the ambiguity increased dramatically.
It would be a lie to say that He Sang was not moved. He felt like he was acknowledged by him and no longer had to hide his feelings.
"I'm back in Hebei Province."
She nodded.
The man leaned over and touched her exposed ear, and the heat wave hit her directly, "If you don't go to the hospital, go back to Hebei Province."
He Sang pursed his lips and pushed him away, "Yeah."
Liang Jishen chuckled, very sweet and lustful, and said, "Let's go."
He stood straight, and his face was radiant after a brief moment of forced passion. The girls stared at him until he stepped into the elevator.
The female colleague had a keen sense of smell. She walked around the room and asked meaningfully, "Do you smell anything?"
"The scent of laundry detergent...Mr. Liang's, right?"
"How tall is he? My boyfriend is 180cm tall, a head shorter than him."
"What do you mean 180? It's actually 170, right?"
They laughed, and the female colleague picked up the sofa cover and looked at it carefully towards the chandelier. It was wrinkled and sticky.
"Sister Sang was parachuted in to become the mainstay, and she has the confidence. Tao Yan is Dean Huang's girlfriend, and she's second to her, playing second female role." The female colleague shrilled, sarcastic, "Sister Sang's ability to seduce men is something we can't learn. This is in broad daylight, and the show isn't over yet. She's serving Mr. Liang so well, so she's the mainstay."
He Sang put on some makeup, combed her hair, grabbed the sofa cover, rolled it into a ball, and left without saying a word.
"Look at how arrogant she is. She thinks she's so powerful because of her connections!" a female colleague said indignantly. "Ever since she came to the theater, I've lost my second female lead. I've played supporting roles in countless shows."
"Tao Yan was the leading actress, and you played the supporting actress. Now that Tao Yan is playing the supporting actress, it's your turn." The girls were open-minded. "Didn't Dean Huang give everyone a raise? What's the point of acting? It's just to make money."
"I'm not after money, I'm after fame! I want to be famous! I'm doing plays to hone my acting skills so I can make movies someday!" The female colleague sat on the sofa angrily. "He Sang is nowhere near as pretty as Su Su. I've seen the staff photo of the Hebei Provincial Drama Theater, and Cui Manli, who's standing center stage with her, is prettier than her. Mr. Liang is so well-informed, and he actually chose her."
"So He Sang has something special about him—" They winked and laughed. "Men get older, so they're not easy to tease. Their curiosity about women also fades, so they won't just touch and start a relationship. Sister Su relied on her beauty to seduce Mr. Liang, but she still failed miserably and ended up resigning."
The female colleague was incredulous, "Su Su is hooking up with Mr. Liang?"
"Susu begged He Sang to let her go. I heard it myself outside the door." The girl took out a photo. "This is an intimate photo of He Sang and Liang Chihui, the fourth young master of Hebei Province. Susu took it."
The female colleague took it, turned around and ran out the door. The elevator number showed the first floor. She pressed the freight elevator next door and chased to the first floor. Liang Jishen's car was flashing its lights and turned around from the parking lot.
The female colleague jumped down the stairs, waving and shouting, "Deputy Secretary Liang! I have a photo of He Sang and a man!"
Liang Jishen's eyes swept across the car window, "What did she shout?"
Cheng Xun didn't take it seriously, "I'm just being mysterious to get closer to you."
Liang Jishen thought of Su Su's boldness and straightforwardness, and also of what Xiao Li from the District Public Security Bureau said, that the actors in this theater are the most beautiful in the circle, but also the most demanding, and are ambitious about hooking up with sugar daddies and marrying into wealthy families. Compared with this place, the intrigues in the Hebei Provincial Theater are nothing.
He retracted his gaze and said, "There's a girl named Susu in the theater. She has quite a strong background. I don't care who's behind her. Go and warn her to behave herself."
"I've got that." Cheng Xun turned a corner and waited for the light at the intersection. "At the opening ceremony this morning, the reporter who asked about your mistress was bribed by Vice President Meng."
Liang Jishen sneered, "Old Meng took out his entire year's dividend and begged me to protect him. I refused, and he tried every possible way to get revenge."
"He and the financial manager colluded to embezzle a huge amount of public funds. In fact, it's not just Zhonghai Group; every provincial enterprise has financial problems. The higher-ups are catching Zhonghai as an example this time, making an example of him. Even the Party Secretary can't protect him."
"Is he related to the secretary?"
"The secretary's wife is his cousin and she takes good care of him."
Liang Jishen's smile turned even colder. "No wonder he threatened me."
Cheng Xun was disdainful. "But he forgot that even the Secretary has to give you some leeway. The higher-ups arranged for you to manage Zhonghai in order to rectify and purge the situation. The Secretary doesn't dare to protect him."
Half an hour later, Liang Jishen boarded the high-speed train and received a call from Ji Xilan. She was straightforward and didn't hesitate, "I'm at Taohuawu, having dinner with Mrs. Qiu."
He signaled to a passing flight attendant to ask for a cold blanket, adjusted the angle of his seat, and lay on his back to rest.
"You went to the hospital."
"You can go, but I can't?"
Liang Jishen twisted his brows, "Xiao He wants to jump off the building and commit suicide."
Ji Xilan sneered, "Did you jump? Cry, make a fuss, and then hang yourself. These are the tactics I eliminated twenty years ago."
"That's enough." He pressed harder. "If Xiao He really jumped off the building, her family would complain to Zhonghai Group and they would hold the higher-ups accountable. I wouldn't be able to explain myself."
"That depends on whether she behaves properly." Ji Xilan paused. "He Sang will also be at the dinner with Mrs. Qiu tonight."
The man took off the blindfold and suppressed his temper. "Are you done yet?"
"Mrs. Qiu invited her!" Ji Xilan handed the Hermès bag to the receptionist at Taohuawu and walked straight inside. "She also wants to eat, so it's a good idea for Mrs. Qiu to treat her."
Liang Jishen sat up, buttoning his shirt with one hand. Ji Xilan hung up the phone, and the flight attendant brought a blanket over. "Sir, you—"
"Sorry, I'm getting off."
"Are you getting off?"
He walked to the back of the car, and the door was about to close. Liang Jishen took a step forward, and Cheng Xun followed closely behind.
"Is Madam trying to make things difficult for Miss Song again?"
The man didn't reply. A high-speed train on the opposite side drove out of the station, stirring up a gust of whistling wind. The lapels of his gray coat were lifted up, making him stand out among the crowd rushing to and fro.
The attendant put away the blanket and eye mask, and shuttled from the business car to another car. Liang Jishen's figure gradually disappeared on the platform.
The flight attendant was very impressed by this male passenger, as he was the latest passenger on this train originating from Hebei Province.
Next to the window, at the end of the carriage, likes quietness, dislikes bright light, and speaks little.
If any service is needed, he communicates with his subordinates.
The journey was short, so he mostly slept. The business class carriage was filled with business elites, with occasional celebrities and models. The flight attendants had seen countless people, so they could recognize the identities of even the most low-key ones.
Only his style is rare.
He is more steady than a businessman, without the arrogance and money-mindedness; he is more dignified, noble and imposing than a star.
At first glance, he is a wealthy and powerful person.
