Chapter 52 Venting
Liang Jishen walked out of the Yanjing Restaurant. The neon lights made him dizzy and he seemed to have lost control and fell straight to the ground.
Zhou Kun had just returned after settling He Sang down and reached out to support him. "Are you from the company?"
He didn't answer.
Zhou Kun asked Cheng Xun again, "Didn't he rest?"
Cheng Xun shook his head, "I've been working overtime non-stop for a week."
"Don't Zhonghai have nine committee members? Delegate the work!"
"The province values Mr. Liang highly and only trusts him."
Zhou Kun sighed. Liang Jishen was a backbone of the department when he was in college. The department head and the president admired him very much, and he was given priority for internships in public security, procuratorial and judicial departments. He was too busy to have time for a relationship.
When it came to job assignments on the eve of graduation, three major government agencies were competing for him, and some even promised that as long as Liang Jishen went, they would add ten internship places to the school every year.
His ambition is purely the result of years of hard work.
"Liang Chihui is involved." He looked unhappy. "I plan to send her out of the province as soon as possible."
Zhou Kun nodded and said, "Send it away, and stay away from trouble."
Cheng Xun held an umbrella to block the wind and covered the man as he walked down the stairs, fearing that he would catch a cold again.
The Red Flag was parked in the most secluded spot in the parking lot. Yanjing Restaurant was an entertainment venue, and Liang Jishen was on duty, so it wasn't convenient for him to show up. Meeting acquaintances would easily draw criticism. He Sang was lying in the back seat, draped in his coat. The reading light was on, and her slender shadow was cast on the glass.
It was not until this moment that the man let out the breath that was blocked in his chest.
He got in the car, and out of the corner of his eye he saw the red wine stains on her neck, one after another. Her V-neck sweater was crooked and vaguely hollow, and the small peach-like semicircle trembled and swayed with her breathing.
Which man can resist such temptation?
Liang Ji frowned.
After a while, he pulled He Sang over, straightened her body, gathered the lapels of her coat, and wrapped her tightly.
"What are you doing in Yanjing?"
Her lips moved slightly, "Team-building dinner."
Liang Jishen leaned back in his chair and rubbed his temples, "Cigarette."
He had left the pack of cigarettes in his pocket in the private room, forgetting to take them. Cheng Xun opened a new pack and handed it to the back, "Yao Wenji moved back to the old house this afternoon. Madam arranged for her to live alone on the third floor. I don't know what tricks she pulled, but Director Liang actually agreed to let her stay in the second-floor guest room. She doesn't look like she has a terminal illness at all. Her complexion is rosy and radiant. She even cooked a midnight snack for Director Liang. The nanny heard Director Liang tell her that he missed the taste of her cooking."
Liang Jishen bit down on his cigarette, the bone contour of his back teeth stretched as tight as a string. The more He Sang suppressed his crying, the tighter he stretched, and the hard stubble on his jaw stood upright.
"Madam asked you to return to the old house as soon as possible to discuss countermeasures..."
He lost his patience and slammed his phone, causing the screen to shatter into pieces under the impact. "It's not over yet."
There was no fluctuation in the tone, no emotion could be heard, but he had endured to the limit.
This time, He Sang is in more danger than any other time.
The head of the Zhou family is a man who has been influential for half his life. He does whatever he wants without any scruples. Even if you suffer a loss at his hands, the consequences will not be a big deal.
Who would shake that person's foundation for a mere woman?
Cheng Xun asked tentatively, "I'll tell your wife to go to the old house tomorrow?"
Liang Jishen still didn't respond.
"Then I'll make the decision myself." Cheng Xun carefully locked the car door and raised the baffle between the front and rear seats.
In the private space, his temper rose, "Where are you hurt?"
It was a small ball, disheveled and soft, the hem of its skirt rubbing against the back of his hand. She was so scared by him that she dared not cry anymore.
"When did it become a habit?" Liang Jishen's face turned ashen, as if he was going to accuse someone.
He Sang looked at him blankly.
"Your theater has a rule about no underwear at midnight gatherings?"
The scene in the private room resurfaced in his mind, and He Sang shivered unconsciously. "I was climbing during the day, and the sweat was sticky and uncomfortable, so I went to the bathroom to take it off."
"Where did he touch you?"
He Sang trembled even more violently.
"Did it touch your chest?" Liang Jishen suddenly pinched her with a bit of force, and she struggled subconsciously.
"That day, he stood up for Zhou Chen and got angry with me. Why didn't he protect you just now and let you get bullied?"
He Sang was in real pain. The man's hands were strong and full of hostility. He pinched her to vent his anger. "He's not here!"
"Do you think he'd have the guts to come into the box and get you? In the eyes of this kind of people, he's worse than a dog."
"I'm getting off the car..." Liang Jishen's eyes made her feel very uncomfortable. He Sang walked past him and pushed the car door.
It was almost eleven o'clock, and there was no one around except the inpatient building with lights on.
He rolled down the car window, and the cold wind rushed in through the gap, cutting his face like a blade.
He Sang instinctively shrank from the cold, and Liang Jishen also calmed down a bit, knowing that his words had been too harsh and she couldn't accept it. He put the remaining half of his cigarette into the cigarette extinguisher, calmed down, and said, "I have to respect that person's background too. If I hadn't rushed over, what would have happened to you in the box?"
Peel off a layer of skin alive.
This Lao Zhou was a playboy, and like Hu Dafa, he had a special fetish. Hu Dafa was rich but not powerful, and he wouldn't force himself on women who were already owned by men or had connections. But Lao Zhou didn't care. Once he found someone he liked, he had the confidence to make his move.
He Sang has only had him as her man so far, and Liang Jishen has always respected her feelings and has never done anything out of line. If this delicate girl wants to pass Lao Zhou's test, she will have to risk half her life.
"Who else have you seen?"
He Sang lay on his legs, his whole body limp and motionless, "Boss Liang."
The man took a deep breath and remained silent.
The car started, and amid the roar of the engine, Liang Jishen stroked her back, again and again, suppressing all his anger. "Don't cry."
The car drove away and a silver Bentley drove out from the back door, and the driver turned off the headlights.
"The Third Young Master took him away."
Liang Chihui opened his eyes, "Is something wrong with her?"
"Nothing should happen, because Lao Cheng didn't take any action."
Lao Cheng is the captain of the district's public security brigade. Liang Chihui had informed them in advance, but Liang Jishen had not arrived at 10:40. Lao Cheng surrounded the restaurant in the name of cracking down on gambling and broke into the private room to rescue her.
Although it was foolproof, it could not be ruled out that Old Cheng might fail at the last minute, so Liang Chihui did not withdraw and waited in the parking lot.
Liang Jishen went upstairs at 10:38.
The driver was curious, "What if the Third Young Master is late? Mr. Liang, will you take action?"
Liang Chihui closed his eyes again, "Maybe."
He couldn't let anyone get the gift he had carefully prepared before Liang Yanzhang could taste it.
Of course, it was a pity that such a delicate flower raised in a man's palm was touched by Lao Zhou, and Liang Chihui couldn't bear it.
Because of this unwillingness, he will most likely take action.
