He doesn't look that old.
Could it be Hua Deming’s new secretary?
Is her position going to be in jeopardy?
Could it be that Hua Deming already knew what she was doing behind her back?
The secretary's forehead broke out in sweat as he thought of this. He came forward very attentively, his attitude much better than usual.
She respectfully placed the information on Hua Deming's desk, smiled formally, and spoke in a much softer voice.
"Mayor, here is the information you requested."
"Um!"
Hua Deming nodded and picked up the document to look at it.
After watching for a while and not seeing the secretary leave, he said puzzledly: "You can leave now."
The secretary looked at Hua Deming nervously, his fists clenched, his palms sweating, and he glanced in Gong Yu's direction out of the corner of his eye.
As soon as he met Gong Yu's indifferent eyes, he was frightened and quickly retracted his gaze.
"Mayor, is there anything else I can help you with?"
"No more." Hua Deming frowned secretly.
I don’t know if it was his illusion, but why did he feel that something was wrong with his secretary today?
The secretary's eyes flickered. Not only did he not show any intention of leaving, but he sat down aside.
"Mayor, I'll sit here and make tea for you. If you have any questions after reading the documents, you can ask me directly."
As she spoke, she started to boil water without hesitation.
Hua Deming's frown relaxed and he didn't ask the secretary to leave.
Although he had noticed that something was wrong with his secretary, he was never one to show his emotions on his face.
One minute passed.
Hua Deming put down the document he was reading halfway.
He first looked at Gong Yu apologetically before his gaze fell on the secretary.
"Can you explain to me why this store's business license was withheld?"
The secretary had already thought of an excuse and said, "This shop was suspected of selling fake jade and was reported by many people, so their business license was confiscated."
"Mayor, didn't you just issue a regulation some time ago prohibiting the sale of hazardous minerals?"
"The fake jade sold in this shop is actually harmful minerals."
"According to the above information, many people who bought jade from him experienced varying degrees of poisoning after returning home."
The secretary picked up the document and turned to the back to show Hua Deming.
The following pages contain the victim's confession.
Hua Deming looked down, but the anger in his heart did not subside in the slightest.
"Why didn't you tell me about such a serious matter? Also, why is there my signature on this?"
He didn't remember signing such a document.
When Hua Deming asked this, the secretary panicked completely, but she suppressed her fear and said, "Market, you've been very busy lately. I'm afraid you signed without paying attention!"
"Nonsense."
Hua Deming shouted angrily and threw the document directly at the secretary's feet.
"Take a closer look. Is this the signature I gave you?"
The secretary trembled with fear.
“Yes… yes!”
"At this point, you still dare to lie with your eyes open. Do you really think I'm stupid enough to let you play with me as you please?"
“I…I…”
The secretary didn't understand why Hua Deming was so angry, and even more confused about where he had revealed his flaw.
Could it be because of this little girl?
The secretary looked in Gong Yu's direction and immediately made a decision in his mind.
She looked up at Hua Deming and said righteously, "Mayor, I don't know if anyone said anything in front of you, but this document was indeed signed by you a few days ago, and I have always been following your instructions!"
