Chapter 24

Wan Qiu took a hundred yuan.

The feel of brand new banknotes in the hand is very different from the dirty and rough-edged ones that were always used in the past.

He has a hundred dollars, so he can take good care of his friend.

"Where are we going?" Wan Qiu asked.

Yang Xiaoyu smiled. The beautiful woman’s smile seemed to overwhelm the sunshine.

"Come with me." The woman held Wan Qiu's hand.

As you enter the coffee shop, the scorching summer heat is instantly blocked outside the transparent glass door. The elegant coffee shop is filled with tranquil music, as if it has opened up a new world.

Wan Qiu had never been to such a place before.

Wan Qiu was holding the hand of Yang Xiaoyu, but was pulled when he went in.

Wan Qiu did not let go of the small cart. He was inside the glass door and the cart was stuck outside the door.

"Please help me take a look at these things." Yang Xiaoyu pointed directly at the small cart at the door and said to the female clerk, "I will pay the storage fee later."

"Okay, please come in." The gentle female clerk smiled and made an inviting gesture.

Wan Qiu let go of the small cart and was held by the woman's hand.

The aroma of the coffee shop was different from the bagged bread that Wan Qiu was familiar with. The sweetness could not be ignored. It seemed that it was trying its best to exude a delicious smell, tempting everyone.

I sat on the sofa in the box, the fabric was soft as if fresh cream was flowing through my fingers.

Wan Qiu was like foam falling on a dessert, tasteless, astringent, and out of place.

"As soon as possible." Yang Xiaoyu finished taking the order, asked them to leave, and closed the curtain of the small compartment.

There were only two of them left in the space, a dark compartment where no sunlight could penetrate, with only a small dim spotlight to illuminate it.

Women still look dazzlingly beautiful in such an atmosphere.

"My name is Yang Xiaoyu." Yang Xiaoyu said.

Wan Qiu also responded with his own name: "My name is Wan Qiu."

"Are you hungry?"

Wan Qiu nodded.

"Let's eat first." Wan Qiu was so close that Yang Xiaoyu's impatience was calmed down.

Yang Xiaoyu took out a pack of wet wipes from her small bag, tore it open, and held Wan Qiu's hand.

"Your hands are dirty."

The slightly cool and moist feeling of the wet wipes wiped his fingers bit by bit. Wan Qiu looked at the woman. Her long and thick eyelashes made her eyes even more beautiful.

Wan Qiu's hands were wiped clean, with a slight moist scent from wet wipes.

The woman threw away the wipes but did not let go of his hand.

The woman's hand was very strong when she held him.

The waitress opened the curtain and brought out the first dessert, and Wan Qiu's hand was then released.

The moisture from the wipes had dried, but the touch of the woman's palm still remained on his fingers, cool and slightly damp.

The dessert that came up first was beautifully presented, and it seemed that moving it would ruin its beauty, so Yang Xiaoyu pushed it in front of Wan Qiu.

"Eat. There will be pasta later. I don't know how it tastes, but at least it will fill you up."

Wan Qiu held the small spoon and scooped out a small piece of ice cream. The cool and sweet taste quickly took away the heat that Wan Qiu had accumulated all morning. The sweet honey toast, the aroma seemed to fill Wan Qiu's brain as soon as he put it in his mouth.

Wan Qiu ate very quietly. Neither the spoon nor the chopsticks made too much noise when hitting the bowl or plate. He puffed up his cheeks and chewed quietly. In Yang Xiaoyu's eyes, he was very cute.

Yang Xiaoyu looked at him and smiled.

Wan Qiu stopped.

"Aren't you going to eat anymore?" Yang Xiaoyu asked. The ordered food had not yet been served and Wan Qiu had eaten very little.

"I'm full." Wan Qiu said.

"Can't you eat anymore?" Yang Xiaoyu frowned as he was surprised that a boy in his growing period only had such a small appetite.

Wan Qiu shook his head and said, "Thank you."

Yang Xiaoyu knew that it was time to talk next.

Yang Xiaoyu lifted up her long hair unconsciously. Facing her unfamiliar flesh and blood, she, who was always proud and confident, began to feel reserved.

"I have... a son." When Yang Xiaoyu was about to speak, he suddenly felt that his words were poor. "I love him very much, but I lost him."

Wan Qiu listened quietly.

"He lost it when he was five years old. It was a long time ago. He should be fourteen this year."

"I have been looking for him for a long time, and now I have found him."

Yang Xiaoyu looked at Wan Qiu, and Wan Qiu just listened.

Yang Xiaoyu stopped playing dumb and said, "Wan Qiu, we found you."

Wan Qiu raised his eyes, which had been staring at the plate, and looked at Yang Xiaoyu.

Yang Xiaoyu continued, "I have been looking for you. You are my child. I was too excited yesterday and couldn't express myself well, but what I said is true."

Wan Qiu was observing Yang Xiaoyu's eyes.

Among them, there was a very unique look that Wan Qiu had never received before.

It doesn't mean 'unhappy'.

"If you have any doubts, we can do a paternity test." Seeing Wan Qiu was silent, Yang Xiaoyu continued, "You were five years old when you were stolen. Don't you remember anything before you were five years old?"

Wan Qiu seldom recalls, his memory is confused, and Wan Qiu cannot put those memories into a correct order.

The messy fragments of memory are piled up in an inconspicuous corner, unable to be sorted out, and no more detailed content can be found.

But Yang Xiaoyu's words stirred up a strong wind in the corner of his memory, and the mixed memories reappeared in Wan Qiu's brain, active and flying, as if something was about to stand out.

"You don't believe it?" Yang Xiaoyu was worried. Her child, who was already a teenager, was so silent after hearing the news that made her terrified.

Suddenly, a special fragment of memory appeared before Wan Qiu's eyes.

Wan Qiu said, "I believe it."

Yang Xiaoyu was stunned for a moment: "Do you... believe it?"

Wan Qiu looked at Yang Xiaoyu: "You are... mother."

When Yang Xiaoyu got a positive answer, his eyes slowly widened and he heard the sound of his heart beating violently in his ears.

"I'm your mother, I'm your biological mother!"

Yang Xiaoyu didn't expect that Wan Qiu would accept it just by saying it simply.

Unable to suppress his joy, Yang Xiaoyu suddenly stood up, leaned forward, reached over the table, and fiercely pulled Wan Qiu over, holding him in his arms.

Her child.

This is her child.

"Wanqiu, Wanqiu, call me mom, please call me mom, okay?" Yang Xiaoyu was almost going crazy.

In Wan Qiu's ears, he could hear Yang Xiaoyu's choked voice.

Wan Qiu said, "Mom."

This sound indicated that Yang Xiaoyu's greatest expectation had come true.

Wan Qiu leaned in Yang Xiaoyu's arms, and fragments of memory appeared before his eyes, a memory that he had never thought about in detail.

He is the son of a wealthy family, but he was stolen away and abused in the home of his adoptive parents. Later, he will be found and taken in by the wealthy family.

Stolen, adoptive parents...

Only today did Wan Qiu truly understand the meaning of these two words to his life.

Adoptive parents, the parents who raised him, are not the ones who gave birth to him.

Yang Xiaoyu is the mother who gave birth to him.

The few sentences that appear in words in my memory are light, unreal, and difficult to understand.

His mother's name is Yang Xiaoyu...

"Is my father called a wealthy man?" Wan Qiu asked.
