"Where are you taking her?" Ji Lichuan asked while standing in the cell.

One of the guards glanced at him and said, "Don't ask me about things that don't concern you. Instead, think carefully about where you hid the thing you stole. Otherwise, you'll be locked up here until you die."

After saying that, those people left.

Can this cell hold him?

Ji Lichuan watched Su Fangli follow them away and couldn't help but worry.

Why did you take her away suddenly?

Could it be because of the divination during the day?

Did I win or not?

-

Su Fangli followed the jailer out of the cell.

Cen Xiaying stood there casually, with her elbow resting on the long sword at her waist and the other hand holding a lamp. When she saw them come out, she grinned.

When he smiled, his eyes were still as big as before, and his teeth were a little pointed, which looked very white under the light.

"You look quite energetic." Cen Xiaying said.

He glanced at Su Fangli, then said to the jailer behind him, "Okay, I'll take her there. You guys can go and rest."

The shadows of the trees were heavy under the moon, and where the candlelight flickered, there were dark shadows. Su Fangli was not afraid of the dark, but he inexplicably felt a chill rising under his feet.

"Do you want to run? Are you afraid?" Cen Xiaying followed her gaze and looked into the distance with her.

Su Fangli: "Will you let me run?"

"Of course." Cen Xiaying said seriously, "Why don't I just catch you back when the time comes? I think you're like a rabbit. You might keep running and running and end up back in my hands."

Why didn't I hit you to death?

Su Fangli followed him expressionlessly.

As she passed a small path, she couldn't help shivering as a cold wind blew through her.

The person in front stopped, and Su Fangli thought he was looking for trouble.

"Here." Cen Xiaying handed over the lamp in her hand, "The prisoner can carry it himself."

Su Fangli looked at him puzzledly, without saying a word, and took it casually.

The lamp seemed light and fluttering in the man's hand. As soon as she touched it, she felt her wrist drop. However, the warmth of the lamp in front of her body offset much of the chill.

She followed him to a house, entered the brightly lit lobby, and saw a fat middle-aged man sitting at the top.

Sitting below was the head jailer whom Su Fangli had just met during the day.

The head jailer had been through something, and although his clothes were brand new, his face was black and covered in traces of smoke and fire. His hair was even more disheveled, with the ends of his hair broken off and curled up into a ball.

"Is that her?" The man at the top looked at Su Fangli and said, "She's quite pretty."

He waved his hand: "Sit there."

Su Fangli was led by the servants to sit down, and Cen Xiaying stood beside her, looking like her personal bodyguard.

"Lord City Lord, it's her." The head jailer stood up and clasped his fists.

"I went to interrogate this woman today and discovered that she could tell fortunes, so I decided to test her to see if her divinations were effective."

"As the Lord City Lord has seen. The divination said that I would die from gambling today. I went to the casino, but unexpectedly it suddenly caught fire. If I hadn't known the divination result earlier and ran away quickly, I would not be able to help you anymore."

It turned out to be caused by fire. Su Fangli looked at him and thought that he was really going to do it even though he knew that he was doomed.

"Really?" The deputy city lord nodded. "Can you find someone?"

Su Fangli nodded: "Okay."

He raised his finger to call his subordinates and whispered something.

The subordinate brought three pieces of paper to Su Fangli, with three different birth dates written on them.

"If you want to stay alive, look for it carefully. If you can't find it..." the deputy city lord threatened.

Su Fangli took out the chopstick holder from her bag and drew lots for divination.

"This one, the person should be in a place with water within a five-mile radius."

Upon hearing this, the subordinate nodded to the deputy city lord, as if to indicate that the result was correct.

The deputy city lord's expression improved a little. He took a sip of tea and continued watching.

She took the second and third, her brow furrowed.

The two horoscopes were very similar, and one of them, Su Fangli, looked particularly familiar. After thinking about it, she confirmed that this was the horoscope that He Chenghuan had shown her before, and it should be his fiancée.

The other one is more subtle, and only one digit differs from the second one. If you are not careful, you may confuse them.

"How is it?" the deputy city lord asked after waiting for a while.

Su Fangli pondered for a moment, then said with an embarrassed look on his face, "There seems to be something wrong with these two horoscopes."

"Could it be that you're not well-trained, or that you have ulterior motives and are trying to trick me?" The deputy city lord slammed the table, "Take another good look!"

Su Fangli changed a deck of cards, and after divination, he shook his head and said, "I can't tell."

The head jailer who had introduced Su Fangli to the other side was also very angry. It was clearly a good start, but why was this guy useless when he got to an important place?

Then how can he get promoted?

Will the city lord blame him?

"Can't you see it at all? You can just give a rough range." Cen Xiaying said casually.

Su Fangli glanced at him, thought for a moment, and said, "These two horoscopes are both nearby."

Nearby, but I don’t know how close.

The deputy city lord at the top snorted coldly.

"Is your last name Fang? Are you from Fang Village? Have you seen any strange people recently?"

Su Fangli inexplicably guessed who he wanted to ask, so she shook her head and said, "I have never seen him."

"Seriously? Don't try to bluff me."

"Your Excellency, I am just a small village woman. There are few people in the village, and I have never seen any strange outsiders."

The deputy city lord looked at her suspiciously for a while, but still didn't believe it.

"Seeing that you won't tell the truth until I see you, come, punish her."

"If you don't tell the truth, give her a cut on the face first. Such a pretty little face, I wonder what it will look like if it's cut?"

After these words were spoken, everyone's eyes fell on Su Fangli's face, but she remained calm and unmoved. She said:

"If you, my Lord, wish to find this strange man, I can do my bit to help."

The deputy city lord snorted coldly: "Why don't you do it?"

clang——

Cen Xiaying unsheathed the dagger at her side with a sound that made one's teeth ache. She walked up to Su Fangli and pulled her over.

He pinched her chin with one hand and approached her face with a dagger in the other.

Many methods came to mind, but she rejected them one by one.

Su Fangli looked up at the star map above Cen Xiaying's head, trying to find a glimmer of hope from it.

She didn't cry or make a fuss. Her almond-shaped eyes were slightly open, and she looked up at him like an ignorant kitten.

Cen Xiaying was slightly startled and unconsciously relaxed his grip, but then he immediately realized it and tightened it again.

Su Fangli frowned in pain.

The deputy city lord urged: "Why don't you move?"

"Sir, aren't you looking for someone? Isn't there someone ready?" Cen Xiaying said.

Su Fangli didn't understand, but she could tell that she was not in danger for the time being.

"Oh?" The deputy city lord thought for a moment, his expression slightly relieved, and he waved his hand, saying, "You guys go out first."

Su Fangli was driven out, and the head jailer approached with a strangely flattering expression on his face: "Sir, do you think I can still go to the casino? The divination suggests that it's only for today, but other days may be fine."

Su Fangli glanced at him and sneered.

As for what it means, you can guess it yourself.

I don’t know how long I waited.

Cen Xiaying came out and looked at Su Fangli: "Follow."

Su Fangli followed.

She was taken to a small courtyard. It was not big, but it had all the necessary tools.

"Young lady, you will stay here tonight." Cen Xiaying leaned against the door, letting Su Fangli in. She continued, "Don't even think about running away."

Su Fangli looked around, found the bed, and walked towards it.

She was already sleepy that night.

"I understand." She agreed and crawled into the quilt and closed her eyes.

Cen Xiaying was still waiting for her to ask, but she didn't expect her to care at all. She could only snort and laugh in an ambiguous way: "You have no conscience."

Su Fangli slept well all night. After waking up, she didn't get up in a hurry. She thought about telling her fortune first, but she couldn't find her things.

"Looking for this?"

Cen Xiaying arrived at some point and sat outside. Seeing Su Fangli's surprised face, she smiled and said, "Miss Fang, you had a good night's sleep."

Su Fangli curled her lips, walked around him to wash up, then came back and sat opposite him.

Her freshly washed face was radiant, with a few lingering drops of water on her chin. Her hair was damp and stuck to the side of her face, giving it a vibrant look.

"What do you need me to do?" Su Fangli asked.

Cen Xiaying raised her eyebrows: "Miss, you are very understanding. I just need you to stay in the teahouse for a few days."

Su Fangli: "Are you asking me to pretend to be the person who read the fortune yesterday?"

Cen Xiaying didn't say anything, so Su Fangli asked again, "When can I go home?"

After several questions, Cen Xiaying didn't say anything, so she stretched out her hand to him: "Give it to me."

No answer, she tested it herself.

-

After changing her clothes, Su Fangli took her new maid to the restaurant in a carriage.

Just as Cen Xiaying said, she just needed to sit in the restaurant for a while.

She picked up a piece of pastry, lifted her veil slightly, and put it in her mouth.

The sweet taste spread, and she ordered many signature dishes in a row and ate them slowly.

Since she traveled through time, she hasn't had a good meal for a long time.

Cen Xiaying sat next to her. Seeing that she was enjoying her meal, he didn't say anything. He just silently observed the passers-by to see if there was the person he was looking for.

This went on for a few days, and Su Fangli felt that she had gained weight.

As usual, Su Fangli appeared in the restaurant.

She has basically tried all the signature dishes of this restaurant.

Su Fangli tried to negotiate with Cen Xiaying to take her to another restaurant for dinner, but was ruthlessly rejected.

She held her chin and looked out the window, and suddenly saw a familiar figure downstairs.

Fangzai was strolling by himself. When he saw Su Fangli, he woofed and wagged his tail wildly.

Hearing the voice, Cen Xiaying came over and asked, "Do you know him?"

Su Fangli didn't see anyone else except Fang Zai. She turned around casually and said, "I don't know him. How could I know him?"

"How?" he asked.

"I want to raise one." Su Fangli said.

Cen Xiaying didn't say whether it was possible or not, and turned to go downstairs.

Su Fangli watched him leave and thought to herself, if he didn't leave now, when would he leave?

She instructed the maid, "Go and get me another plate of snacks. Watch them make sure they don't use bad ingredients."

She had discovered these days that only Cen Xiaying and one maid were monitoring her.

As soon as the maid left, she immediately went downstairs and ran in the opposite direction of Cen Xiaying.
