Chapter 7: I was overtaken. Those words he said were all my words.

Chapter 7: I was overtaken. Those words he said were all my words.

Chaomu didn't notice that she was being watched - at this moment, she was seriously considering the possibility of stealing or robbing a convenience store.

Anyway, her goal is just to mark the trash can in the Metropolitan Police Department. If she is escorted in to take a statement, she should have a chance to touch the target. She can just take it out when passing by, and the mission will be completed, right?

After she flipped through the achievement album and discovered the achievements of [Being Jailed for the First Time] and [More Prisons for the Capable], this plan became even more tempting... Even successfully escaping from prison has achievements, so it's not uncommon to see such good things as killing two birds with one stone.

The player was about to embark on a path of crime, and the young man with cat eyes, who had been secretly observing her from behind, frowned increasingly. He had initially considered the possibility that she was just joking, but when he saw her looking around and starting to calculate the amount of the crime, he became even more vigilant.

Should we try to stop her before she commits a crime? Or should we call the police? She looks young and inexperienced—normal robbers prioritize ATMs and restrooms with cash reserves, not calculating how many rice balls and bento boxes they'll steal like she does with her phone calculator… She seems to have come here on foot, with no means of transportation, and she doesn't seem to have any place to hide a gun or other weapon. She doesn't look like a serious robber at all.

The more he observed and analyzed her, the more the young man with cat eyes felt she was simply acting on impulse out of financial hardship. When faced with such misguided young people, prompt persuasion should be the primary focus, supplemented by criticism and education, and ideally, parents should be notified... But regardless, this wasn't his responsibility while he was undercover.

Under the close watch of the mysterious young man, Chaomu generously filled a shopping cart with rice balls, bento, sandwiches and pudding. Before he had time to get some more chocolate and puffed foods, he heard a gunshot from the direction of the door.

"Robbery! Hand over all the money!"

Chaomu, who was about to take action, said: "Ah?"

She hadn't spoken yet, hadn't she? Why was this person using her words?

Confused, she turned around and saw three masked men in black standing arrogantly in front of the cashier. One held a knife to the female employee's neck, forcing her to open the register. Another used a gun to force other customers to squat. The third expertly lowered the iron gate in front of the store, turned around, and began to fill a sack with money. He looked like a very experienced robber.

It was lunchtime, and many white-collar workers in the convenience store were enjoying their lunch boxes during their break. Faced with the sudden change, none of them seemed too panicked, and they squatted down obediently with their heads in their hands.

Only the female clerk who was held at knifepoint screamed at first because of the bloody scratch on her neck, but then she calmed down and obediently went to take the money. The other male clerk in the store also cooperated with the store to open the warehouse with fear.

From the robbers to the hostages, everyone seemed quite skilled in this. Before Chaomu could react, she seemed to be the only one left standing in the store besides the robbers.

Because she was so conspicuous, the robber with the gun almost immediately cast his sinister gaze upon her. He walked towards her with the gun raised: "What are you young couple standing there for? Hurry up and squat down with your heads in your hands!"

A young couple? Who is she with? Is there a trash can nearby?

Chaomu glanced around and only found a tall young man wearing a hoodie behind him. He became even more confused for a moment.

The young man with cat eyes reacted immediately: it was probably because their hoodies were similar in style and they were standing close to each other that caused the misunderstanding.

Seeing the two still didn't move, the already irritable robber grew even more impatient. He strode forward, roughly pressed the gun to the girl's forehead, lifted her hood, and poked her forehead. "What are you doing? If you don't cooperate, I'll shoot you!"

When he saw her face under the hood, the burning unhappiness in his heart seemed to be poured with a bucket of oil: even with a gun pressed against her forehead, the young short-haired woman's face still had no extra expression. Her golden eyes were clearly looking at him, but there was no panic or anxiety in them, only pure curiosity.

It's like saying, "Who do you think you can scare by pointing a gun at them?" This simple question is actually extremely humiliating.

In fact, Chaomu was just looking at the system interface.

[Ding! You have opened the special event: Convenience Store Robbery]

[Option A: Tell them you are here to rob as well, cooperate with the robbers to complete the robbery and leave safely.]

[Option B: Stop the robbers, rescue the hostages, and escort the robbers to the Metropolitan Police Department.]

[Option C: It is none of my business, so I neither cooperate nor resist.]

There were three options, no missions, and no specific rewards. It seemed quite free, but it made her feel a bit stuck... How about B? Acting bravely seemed to have some achievements, and it would also allow her to join the Metropolitan Police Department.

She was still thinking about which one to choose, but the robber, who was looked at by her with such a strange look, became more and more angry.

His voice suddenly took on a murderous tone: "Hey, you...are you looking down on me?!"

Before the robber could pull the trigger, the young man with cat-like eyes, who had been behind the girl, stepped forward and placed himself in front of her. His gaze flicked thoughtfully over the other robber still holding the female shop assistant hostage. He didn't immediately grab the gun, but calmly said, "She's probably just confused because we're not a couple."

Although it was not difficult for him to fight three people at once, the robbers still had a hostage in their hands. In order to ensure the safety of the hostage, now was not the best time to take action... Besides, the purpose of these suspicious robbers was obviously not just to rob money.

His words clearly failed to convince the already enraged armed robber. Instead, he grew even more furious and pressed the gun against his chest: "You're still trying to be a hero and save the damsel in distress, right? If we're not lovers, why are you getting involved..."

"Third Brother!" The robber, who had closed the iron gate and drawn a gun from his waist, shouted unhappily, "Why are you throwing a tantrum? Can't you get down to business first? The police haven't even arrived yet. What's the point of keeping these people around?"

Obviously, as the oldest brother in the gang, the robber leader's words still had some effect. Even though the third brother was unhappy, he still moved his gun away: "Got it..."

Seeing that the other party had stopped, the cat-eyed young man breathed a sigh of relief, turned sideways and tugged at the girl's clothes, signaling her to cooperate a little first - the robber seemed to be emotionally unstable and had a gun in his hand. If he acted impulsively, it would be a big problem.

Chaomu narrowed her eyes slightly, finally squatting down cooperatively. The robbers had driven the two of them to the side of the crouching office workers, huddled together in a corner. Her arm pressed against the man's, feeling the bulging muscles tense. She glanced back thoughtfully, and saw the cat-eyed young man looking back at her.

Beneath his hood lay a handsome face. His blue, cat-like eyes softened his demeanor, while the stubble on his chin slightly neutralized his aura. Despite his loose clothing, his proportions were clearly superior. His chest was broad, and when he leaned forward to hold his head, his muscles flexed, further defining his waist and hips.

Judging from the model, he doesn't look like an ordinary passerby, at least he is an important NPC... The touch of this muscle doesn't feel like a fancy piece, and the hard touch just now against her side made Chaomu think of a neighbor who could kill her four times.

But in other respects this gentleman was completely different from her neighbor.

"Don't be afraid... They probably won't be planning to kill anyone until they contact the police to exchange money." Noticing her gaze, he softly consoled her, "The police should be here soon, don't be too nervous."

He clearly mistook her momentary daze for nervousness, and his soft, soothing voice was quite captivating. Chaomu blinked and readily accepted his concern: "I'm not nervous."

She really had nothing to be nervous about—even though they were all pointing guns at people's heads, the sense of danger these robbers posed to her was nothing compared to that of her neighbor, Mr. Kurosawa. The guy with the gun beside her looked much more capable than them.

"The back door of the convenience store leads directly to a small alley with no surveillance. The trash cans on the corner create a blind spot for the surveillance cameras. They're probably planning to flee immediately after stealing the money. If we don't subdue them beforehand, the police will likely come up empty-handed." She tilted her head slightly, and from behind, where the robber couldn't see, she hooked his waist to draw his attention. "Want to cooperate? You take care of the one with the gun, and I'll take care of the other."

The close distance and touch made the cat-eyed young man tremble unexpectedly - not entirely because of his sensitivity, but more because she was pointing at the place where he hid his gun.

He instinctively turned his body backward, trying to avoid her touch, but Chaomu had no intention of letting him go. She reached into his coat with precision and grasped the gun handle. The originally cold weapon was warmed by the young man's body heat, and now, invaded by the heat of a stranger, it took on a subtle warmth.

Thanks to Kurosawa Jin, her disarming skills are now very sophisticated.

She gripped the gun handle and asked calmly under the surprised gaze of the cat-eyed young man, "Can we talk about cooperation now?"

The author has something to say:

----------------------

(This time it's a real gun handle)

I feel like a male-oriented author who takes advantage of every opportunity to describe a man with big breasts during a crisis.

But there is a reason for this! This is part of the observation (justified)
