Chapter 20 You have no idea how handsome you are

Shan Song sensed that Tong Zhao's attitude was off, so he slowed down and pulled over to the side of the road: "What's wrong?"

Tong Zhao stammered, "...He's the one who caused me trouble before."

"What happened?" Shan Song frowned slightly, reached out and pried open Tong Zhao's hand, which already had red marks on it, and held it in his palm.

Feeling the warmth in her palm, Tong Zhao whispered, "It's because he wanted to keep me as a sugar daddy before, but I refused."

"Did he force you?" Shan Song's face darkened, his gentle demeanor vanished, and he adopted a less law-abiding attitude, as if he could find someone to do the deed the moment Tong Zhao nodded.

Tong Zhao's eyelashes fluttered slowly, amused by her own imagination, and then she shook her head: "No, he's sick."

Dan Song paused for a moment, his expression subtly shifting several times, his gaze involuntarily drifting downwards.

Tong Zhao felt as if the dark cloud that had once shrouded his heart had been dispelled by an extremely strange magical attack. Before he could adjust his expression, he wanted to cry and laugh at the same time: "It's not this disease."

Dan Song's ears also flushed, a rare occurrence for him: "Oh, go ahead and say it. Don't be afraid, the Geng family is fine too, trust me."

Tong Zhao certainly believed Shan Song; he just hadn't quite organized his thoughts yet. After pondering for a moment, he said with a hint of resentment:

“He was very strange. I felt like he took pleasure in playing with people, giving them hope and then taking it away. First, he kicked me out of the crew, then fabricated unfounded scandals to spread rumors about me. After I had no more roles, he came over like a savior to give me some sweetness, slap me and then give me a treat. He kept going back and forth like he was training a hawk.”

Shan Song didn't know much about the youngest son of the Geng family, but after hearing what Tong Zhao said, he was completely different from the humble and polite heir of the Geng family in the rumors. However, this did not mean that he did not believe what Tong Zhao said.

Is there anything else?

"Oh, he also likes to bully people on set," Tong Zhao wrinkled her nose and said with disdain.

“He never did it himself, but always hinted to others. Those people would target me in various ways just to curry favor with him. Later, my reputation got worse and worse, and I had to be wary of all sorts of people kicking me when I was down. I was forced to do something, so I thought of the phone number you left me.”

"Not bad, not stupid." Shan Song said with relief, but then a strong sense of regret welled up inside him. Why didn't he investigate more carefully back then? He could have at least told Qi Changzhou to do something. He should have arranged to investigate immediately when the wrap party was mentioned. He actually delayed it.

Tong Zhao leaned closer to him at that moment, her eyes sparkling: "You have no idea how handsome you are in my eyes! You didn't ask me anything and you solved my problem so quickly!"

Dan Song's eyes flickered slightly: "How handsome?"

"A kind of irresistible handsomeness that defies description, yet instantly brings a sense of peace!"

Seeing that Shan Song's expression was no longer as serious as before, Tong Zhao finally relaxed and added, "He's really amazing."

"..." Shan Song wondered if this kid had a bit too much of a bias against him.

"I haven't heard from him for a long time since then. Later, he retired from the entertainment industry, so I paid even less attention to him. I really didn't expect that this wrap party was a setup by him. This guy is really like a leech; once you stick to him, you can't get rid of him. He won't give up until he achieves his goal."

After a pause, Tong Zhao grinned and hooked his little finger around Shan Song's hand: "But he can't threaten me now, hehe!"

Shan Song couldn't help but shove his head against his chest: "Let's not talk about the past. I'll send someone to investigate, but given your style of doing things, we might not be able to find any evidence. In the future, you must tell me immediately if anything happens."

"Yes, yes, don't worry. We should go now, or Qin Daosheng will probably think you're going to run away with me if we delay any longer," Tong Zhao joked.

Shan Song chuckled softly and released Tong Zhao's ruffled hair.

The car started up again. Shan Song glanced at Tong Zhao and saw that he was not affected by the little incident just now, so he simply explained the plans for the next few days to him.

"Before the wedding, we'll try on your wedding dresses, and we'll also secretly take you to your maternal grandmother's house. We'll probably also visit the Zhou family once more. These are the only confirmed arrangements for now. I'll find some other excuses to take you out, and I'll send you a message the night before."

"If you get bored at the Qin family's house, you can send me or Aunt Yuan a message. If you're interested in the wedding arrangements, you can chat with her. The details can be adjusted to your liking. If you don't like these tedious things, you don't have to worry about them. Just leave everything to Aunt Yuan and wait for the final product."

When Shan Song spoke like this, he always had a calm and composed demeanor that gave people an indescribable sense of security and moved them deeply. Tong Zhao felt her heart quietly warm up: "Okay."

Dan Song thought for a moment and added, "Our wedding will probably be different from what you imagine. You learned at the engagement banquet that the focus of this marriage is actually on cooperation rather than the wedding itself. Socializing is inevitable, so we can only try to satisfy your personal preferences in terms of some of the facilities. Don't put too much effort into it. If you really like it, let them keep the wedding venue. That island is now my private property, and I can take you there anytime in the future."

Tong Zhao had been listening attentively, but his nod faltered slightly at the last sentence: "..." Personal assets? In terms of personal assets, it's not like just any rich person would buy an island. Was Shan Song just trying to appease him during the day?

Seeing Shan Song looking over with a questioning gaze, Tong Zhao gave a complicated "hmm". He felt that Shan Song was still too trusting of him and hadn't considered that he might have changed over the years and that all of that was just an act of feigning helplessness, and that he actually planned to use him to make a quick buck and run away.

After a moment of silence, Shan Song continued the conversation that had been interrupted, offering a few more words of advice about things to be careful about at the Qin family's residence.

Tong Zhao was brought back to her senses by the gentle, deep voice in her ear. She glanced at his well-defined profile and silently reminded herself: Tong Zhao, you can't betray the trust of such a good person.

The car sped through the night, and soon the outline of the Qin family's magnificent golden building came into view.

Dan Song drove the car into the garage and turned off the engine, but instead of getting out, he turned to meet Tong Zhao's clear eyes: "No one was with us today, so we were able to go for a walk. It will probably be difficult in the future. I might be a bit cold in front of strangers, so please bear with me?"

"I understand." Tong Zhao lightly bumped fists with him, a bright smile on her face. "I sometimes act a little afraid of you in front of others, don't mind it. Actually, you're not that fierce. I know you're doing it for my own good!"

His gaze lingered on the two clasped fists for a moment, then he lightly raised his wrist and touched it with his. When he looked up, a faint smile appeared in his eyes: "Yes, let's go."

Following Shan Song into the familiar building, Tong Zhao secretly pursed his lips. He would have to deal with the Qin family again. He could already imagine the scene of Qin Siyuan cornering him in the room and interrogating him after Shan Song left.

He secretly encouraged himself, thinking that things would be better after he got married!

When this thought popped into his head, Tong Zhao was stunned. He was actually starting to look forward to getting married. If a fortune teller had told him that he would willingly marry someone within a month, he probably would have thought that the person was a charlatan.

Tong Zhao's gaze was fixed on the tall, straight back in front of him, dispelling all the chaotic thoughts, leaving only trust in the person before him.

Before entering the living room, Shan Song coughed lightly to subtly remind Tong Zhao behind him. Tong Zhao glanced into the living room upon receiving the signal and saw that Qin Daosheng and Qin Siyuan were still gathered there at this hour, so they must be waiting for him.

Shan Song went in and spoke first: "Uncle Qin, I've brought Xiao Zhao back. I have things to do at home, so I won't stay any longer."

Qin Siyuan's eyes darkened, but he glanced calmly at Tong Zhao, who was standing behind him, looking timid and hesitant.

Qin Daosheng gave a forced smile: "Since the Zhou family has business to attend to, go back now. Please give my regards to your father."

Shan Song nodded slightly, then turned and left.

Tong Zhao stood aside with her head down, and only after his figure had completely disappeared from sight did she slowly walk to the middle of the living room and murmur, "Father, elder brother."

"What happened? What did you do today?"

“He didn’t do anything. He just drove me to a wedding planner, then left me there alone and left.”

Qin Daosheng and Qin Siyuan exchanged a glance.

"Where is the planner from, and what's their name?"

Tong Zhao answered them one by one.

Has he brought up the engagement party again?

“No, he barely spoke to me anymore.” Tong Zhao pretended to think for a moment: “He looked terrible. He took a few phone calls in the middle of the conversation, I think it was because his brother went to the company or something, that’s all I heard.”

Tong Zhao spoke in a seemingly real yet fake manner, just as Shan Song had instructed. With his acting skills, Qin Siyuan waved his hand and said, "Well done, go back."

Tong Zhao lowered her head: "Then I'll be going now."

"Wait a minute," Qin Daosheng called out.

Tong Zhaoxin paused, then slowly turned around: "Father."
