Chapter 13 Someone's Beautiful Wife

"First, decide on the venue. What type of wedding do you prefer?"

"What types are there?" Tong Zhao asked, following closely behind Shan Song.

Dan Song glanced at the omega who was a head younger than him and slowed his pace slightly: "The planner will introduce you to him in a bit."

Tong Zhao looked around, puzzled, and asked, "Is this just a place for wedding planning?"

That's way too luxurious.

Shan Song smiled and said, "This is a private residence."

"..." I still can't quite get used to living around rich people.

Tong Zhao silently warned himself not to make a big deal out of nothing, because if he became a laughing stock, it would be embarrassing for both of them.

"Whose is it?" Tong Zhao asked.

“A designer, a friend of my mother’s. When we meet, just call her Aunt Yuan.”

Tong Zhao hesitated for a moment: "So, should we pretend we don't know each other anymore?"

Shan Song knew he would definitely ask something, but he really didn't expect him to ask this. It really showed his professionalism as an actor.

He turned his head to look, and saw Tong Zhao slightly tilting her head back, her lips parted slightly, her round eyes clear and bright, looking particularly charming and cute when she stared intently at someone.

Feeling a little confused by the intense gaze, Tong Zhao tilted her head slightly to avoid the stare, her tone somewhat unnatural: "What's wrong?"

Sunlight streamed down from the side, illuminating most of the omega's body. One side of his hair was almost transparent in the sunlight, making his pupils appear as if they had a faint golden hue.

Touched by his obedient demeanor, Shan Song beckoned Tong Zhao to his side, placed his hand on Tong Zhao's head and ruffled it: "No need to pretend, he is a trustworthy elder."

"Let's go say hello first, confirm the wedding venue and style, and have Aunt Yuan help us with the preparations. Then I'll tell you about my story," Shan Song said, looking intently into Tong Zhao's eyes.

Tong Zhao was stared at blankly, almost forgetting how she should react.

He had been explaining himself the whole way. He had originally wanted to ask Shan Song about his situation over the years, but he didn't know where to start, and he wasn't sure if Shan Song was willing to tell him.

Now that Shan Song has taken the initiative to offer this, doesn't that mean he actually trusts me?

Tong Zhao's face lit up with joy, and he nodded emphatically: "Okay!"

Dan Song lowered her eyes and looked at him quietly. After a while, she lowered her eyes and smiled. This child is so easy to coax.

Soon after entering the building, someone came to greet me. She was a well-dressed lady whose every move exuded elegance and grace.

His face instantly lit up with a smile when he saw them, and he greeted them from a few steps away: "You've finally come, kid!"

As she got closer, Yuan Yamin's gaze lingered on Shan Song for only a few seconds before turning to Tong Zhao: "This must be Xiao Zhao, she looks like a well-behaved child."

"Aunt Yuan," Tong Zhao called softly.

"Don't be afraid. Just like Xiaosong, make yourself at home here." Yuan Yamin smiled gently. "Come on, don't just stand there, come in and sit down to talk."

Tong Zhao was led away by Yuan Yamin, and looked back at Shan Song as if pleading for help.

Dan Song followed behind the two at a leisurely pace, smiling as he said, "Aunt Yuan, being too enthusiastic will scare the children."

"You talk too much, hurry up and catch up." Yuan Yamin rolled her eyes at him, her previous elegance and warmth completely gone.

Shan Song also showed a rare display of childlike liveliness in front of his elders, his expression more vibrant than ever before they had met.

He joked with the woman in front of him, "A bad temper will give you wrinkles."

"You brat, you have no manners!"

Tong Zhao was stunned by their interaction; he looked dazed, as if he hadn't seen such a heartwarming scene in many years.

Dan Song glanced at Tong Zhao's eyes, his gaze darkened, and he reached out to grab Tong Zhao's other hand: "Come here."

Tong Zhao was brought back to her senses and looked at herself being pulled forward by one person on each side, her face blank for a moment.

Then Yuan Yamin's teasing voice came through: "I was worried that you wouldn't know how to get along with an omega, but you met a beautiful wife and you figured it out on your own. I was just overthinking it."

Dan Song chuckled and said, "A reminder to this beautiful and elegant lady: please slow down a bit while you're talking. Although you're still going strong, my beautiful wife can't keep up."

Yuan Yamin looked at the two holding hands, clicked her tongue, stopped and exclaimed in surprise, "I never expected you to be so thoughtful!"

"Xiao Zhao, is he just faking it in front of me?"

“…No, he’s always been fine,” Tong Zhao replied softly.

"So you're taking his side?" Yuan Yamin muttered, turning to meet Shan Song's upturned lips: "You're lucky, kid!"

When teased like this in front of her elders, Tong Zhao's ears turned bright red, almost burning from the roots of her ears to her neck.

Dan Song glanced at the shy little omega who dared not look up, bent down and leaned closer to say, "Ignore her, that's just her personality, she likes to tease pretty omegas, she's disrespectful to her elders."

“I can hear you,” Yuan Yamin said irritably.

"Yes, I know." Shan Song replied calmly.

"..."

"Don't talk about your elders like that," Tong Zhao quietly poked Shan Song's palm and whispered a reminder.

Yuan Yamin, with his sharp hearing and keen eyesight, immediately smiled upon hearing this: "Did you hear that, Shan Song?"

Helpless, Shan Song tightened his grip on Tong Zhao's hand: "Little traitor."

Tong Zhao remained silent, but a subtle smile curved her lips.

...

"As for the wedding, Xiao Zhao can tell Aunt Yuan whatever she wants. Shan Song will just slack off, so we won't interfere."

"I don't understand these things either." Tong Zhao waved his hands repeatedly, "I won't cause any trouble."

"How could that be? Come, let Aunt Yuan explain to you. Traditional weddings are divided into these types..."

Tong Zhao listened attentively, occasionally interjecting a few words. Seeing that the two were getting along quite naturally, Shan Song leaned back and started reading a magazine, glancing up at the magazine every now and then.

After waiting a while, feeling that the time was almost up, Shan Song got up and walked to Tong Zhao's side: "Well, have you made your choice?"

Tong Zhao looked up: "Hmm, take a look at these?"

Shan Song leaned down behind Tong Zhao, looking at her for a while as if he were holding her in his arms: "Do you prefer the outdoor ones?"

Tong Zhao replied, "I don't feel so constrained."

"Excellent taste, huh? There's another cruise ship one here, did you choose that too?"

Shan Song picked up this style, which was out of place compared to the others, and carefully flipped through it, trying to see what had attracted Tong Zhao's attention.

"This was mentioned by Aunt Yuan when she introduced the island wedding. The venue is still on the island, but you will take a cruise around it. Once it's decorated, you can see a beautiful night view."

“Island…” Shan Song murmured after a moment of contemplation.

Tong Zhao didn't hear clearly, "Huh? What did you say?"

Dan Song smiled faintly and replied, "Very romantic."

"You think so too? I've never been on a cruise ship before, I wonder if I'll get seasick," Tong Zhao said with a hint of restrained excitement.

Dan Song's eyes practically sparkled as he looked at the person in front of him: "Looks like this is the first choice?"

"It's up to you..." Tong Zhao pursed her lips as she looked at him, but her eyes were still sparkling.

The shaking made Shan Song feel like surrendering on the spot: "Let's go with this one."

Upon hearing Shan Song's agreement, Tong Zhao's expression indeed lit up with joy, just like a child. Shan Song lowered his eyes and watched her quietly with a touch of tenderness.

"Are you so oblivious to everyone else?"

As soon as Yuan Yamin returned, she saw the two heads huddled together, especially Shan Song, whose eyes were full of affection.

"Aunt Yuan." Tong Zhao was no longer as shy as when they first met, and greeted Yuan Yamin warmly: "We've made our choice, it's the island cruise you mentioned."

Yuan Yamin seemed to be stunned for a moment, but then her expression returned to normal: "Okay, Aunt Yuan will definitely arrange a perfect wedding that you will never forget."
