Chapter 143 Stealing the House

On the eighth day of the variety show, the furniture in the cabin had been almost completely exchanged. Taking advantage of the simple daytime tasks, Shan Song and Tong Zhao tidied up the room, making the cabin much cozier than when they first arrived.

On either side of the fireplace are rows of bookshelves, with several wall lamps on each side. A retro plaid rug is laid under the sofa and rocking chair. On the small wooden table are some snacks and tea prepared by Tong Zhao. On the other side near the sofa is another bookshelf, along with the desk and chair that Shan Song occasionally uses for his work. A simple pendant light adds to the ambiance.

However, since Shan Song himself works mostly in bed, it can only serve as decoration for now.

On the second floor, the wardrobe was DIY-made using scrap wood that had been specially brought back before, making it fit the overall look of the wooden house better. The floor lamp that Tong Zhao suggested is in the corner near the window. It doesn't stand out much during the day, but when you turn it on at night, a thin halo of light will gradually spread across the second floor in a semi-circular shape, giving the feeling that the whole little world is just for the two of them.

A coat rack was on the other side of the bed, near the first window, next to an artistically designed, crooked tree that served both as a clothes rack and a decorative element. In the other, larger window, there were two wooden chairs and a small table, on which sat fresh flowers brought by the Dansong Tuo program crew; today's flowers were lilies.

The terrace was also spotless and decorated with beautiful colored lights. It seemed the task was almost completed ahead of schedule. Tong Zhao looked around the house, stroking her chin thoughtfully, "Husband..."

Dan Song, who was not far away, looked up: "What's wrong?"

Ah, he'd gotten used to calling her that, so Tong Zhao silently changed his address: "Wife!"

Dan Song approached with a smile, resting her hands on her knees and leaning down: "Honey, what's wrong?"

Avoiding the breath that was hitting her face because they were too close, Tong Zhao asked with forced composure, "Don't you feel like something's missing in the room?"

Dan Song looked around, then put on a thoughtful expression. After a moment, he took out the remaining money from his pocket and slapped it into Tong Zhao's hand: "Give my husband some pocket money. It's okay if he spends it all. I'll take on more roles to support him."

"..." This person got hooked on acting.

Tong Zhao nudged him, and Shan Song nudged Tong Zhao back. The two looked up at each other and smiled almost simultaneously.

He turned off the live stream and the two temporarily returned to their original roles. They laughed at each other for a while before Shan Song pulled him onto his lap, gave him a big kiss, and pinched his soft cheeks with both hands, saying, "You acted well, honey?"

"You're not bad either, wife." Tong Zhao's face was pinched out of shape, her voice was muffled but her eyes were full of smiles. Her lively spirit was so endearing that Shan Song couldn't help but hug her and press her all over her body, like a large wild beast sniffing its own cub. When he let go, he almost made her dizzy from the inhalation.

Shan Song said, "I won't think about it for now. I'll use the points to exchange for it when I remember."

What are you thinking about? Her mind sluggishly processed the information. Oh, furniture. After a moment, Tong Zhao turned her head and playfully punched Shan Song's chest. Even if there's no live stream, you can't do this. The door isn't even closed.

Dan Song laughed as he accepted his wife's criticism. As she helped him up, she invited him, "The wood wax oil is ready. We'll go out and spray the cabin with it in a bit. Want to come along?"

Tong Zhao nodded and asked, "Can I just spray it directly?"

"We don't have much time, so spraying is a convenient option. If you like it, you can have a professional sand it back on later."

“Oh,” Tong Zhao picked up the spray paint tools and examined them for a moment, then volunteered, “Let me try it first.”

The weather was a little warmer than a few days ago. On this peaceful afternoon, the two relaxed as if they were at home, chatting and working while setting up the ladder.

The conversation started with Tong Zhao's growing fanbase, then moved on to the changes in Qi Yan and Luan Yining, and finally discussed Tong Zhao's entry into the production team and Shan Song's vulnerable period.

Without any logic, she just said whatever came to mind. Halfway through her sentence, Shan Song suddenly said, "Zhao Zhao needs a dressing table."

"Huh?" Tong Zhao's voice was muffled despite wearing a mask, but her confusion was still very clear.

Shan Song, holding the ladder, looked up and reminded him, "I'm not asking what's missing. How can a big star not have a separate dressing room and vanity? We'll exchange them for one after we get the points tomorrow."

"Okay!" Tong Zhao didn't stand on ceremony, but instead asked, "What about you? You can't just do everything according to my preferences, can you?"

The omega's direct and docile manner was incredibly comforting. Shan Song's lips curled up: "Don't you know my preferences?"

"..." Be serious.

What Shan Song was actually implying was the ten Zhao Zhao fan groups that Tong Zhao had accidentally discovered on his phone today.

Indeed, in just a few days, Qi Changzhou has expanded his core fan base and cultivated several "management" members to manage the other eight groups. Coincidentally, one of them was the first little fan they met at school.

As their roles were reversed, they ended up carrying each other's phones. Although they usually used each other's phones, since appearing on the variety show, Shan Song had been keeping both phones to prevent Tong Zhao from being hurt by online rumors. Tong Zhao only found out today that Shan Song and Qi Changzhou had actually become his biggest fans.

He is a true fan leader. Shan Song has mastered a series of tricks in the fan circle at some point, and he has adopted the same strictness he used when managing a company. He has become very successful and one of the top "big shots" in the circle.

His phone is filled with company group chats and his fan groups, so his preferences shouldn't be too obvious; it's definitely not something he likes about work.

Of course, if Shan Song is "number one", then Qi Changzhou is another "big shot" who is "number two". According to what he learned in the morning, the two of them are the most famous among his little fans. Tong Zhao remained silent. Otherwise, how could the two of them be such good brothers? It's really quite absurd.

Shan Song wanted to tease him a bit more, but suddenly the phone rang.

Tong Zhao slowly climbed down the ladder, and Shan Song helped him land steadily before he took out his phone.

Who is it?

"Qi Changzhou".

Calling at this time probably isn't good news. Shan Song frowned slightly and turned on speakerphone: "Something happened at the company?"

"No, it's me who got into trouble." Qi Changzhou sneered on the other end of the phone, his voice filled with deep resentment.

"?" Shan Song and Tong Zhao looked at each other in bewilderment.

His tone and demeanor caused Shan Song to raise an eyebrow, his serious expression fading as he pondered, "You've lost your virginity? Whose? Do we know each other?"

"Shut up! You're the one who lost your virginity!" Qi Changzhou roared, "I was the one who got my home stolen, stolen my home!"

"Geng Keli is a real dog!"
