Chapter 34 Crying Scenes

Zhou Muyuan heard that Shan Song had gone to change clothes and hadn't returned for a long time. He frowned and wondered if Shan Song had gone to find Qi Changzhou again.

The two spent the last few days before the wedding together, only returning on the wedding day. They even got together yesterday, plotting something. Zhou Muyuan was seething with anger and his attitude towards Shan Song was not good all day, but he couldn't find anything wrong with her.

Zhou Muyuan was wary of whether Shan Song had already received help from the Qi family, but he also thought that although the Qi family claimed to be on good terms with the Shan family, they hadn't helped much back then. Now, Shan Song was just Qi Changzhou, not someone to be feared.

That being said, Zhou Muyuan still wanted to get Shan Song drunk and test him further, but who knew that the man would just disappear like that...

Zhou Muyuan cursed and swore as he ordered his men to search, but unexpectedly, he discovered that the Qin family was also looking for someone, and Tong Zhao was also missing. The fact that these two had disappeared at the same time was rather strange.

Thinking about what Shan Song had casually said earlier, Zhou Muyuan's sensitive radar immediately went off.

He secretly observed the Qin family's actions.

At this moment, Qin Siyuan's face showed a rare hint of emotion, and he ordered his men to find the two of them first.

Looking at Qin Siyuan's expression, Zhou Muyuan felt that things might not be so simple. Could it be that the Qin family was secretly plotting something?

When they looked over again, Qin Chong had somehow gotten close and whispered a few words in Qin Siyuan's ear.

Qin Siyuan suddenly turned to look at him: "Are you serious?"

Qin Chong nodded.

Qin Siyuan's eyes darkened: "Don't tell anyone about this."

Qin Chong hesitated for a moment: "People are already spreading the word."

Qin Siyuan looked at Qin Chong coldly, his eyes seeming to warn him not to play these little tricks in front of him.

Qin Chong pursed his lips and lowered his head. He had known since childhood that everything about the Qin family was exposed in his older brother's eyes. Every time he tried to fool his other brothers, Qin Siyuan would find fault with him without exception. Although there had been many precedents, he was still momentarily stunned by Qin Siyuan's gaze. He stammered, "I understand."

Qin Siyuan didn't really care about his younger brother who was always up to some trivial schemes, but after a moment's thought, he called him back and reminded him, "Don't damage the Qin family's reputation."

Qin Chong's eyes lit up, and he nodded before leaving.

As soon as Qin Chong left, Qin Siyuan's expression returned to normal. Zhou Muyuan's heart sank. Something was wrong with the Qin family. Did they know what Shan Song was doing? Could it be that the Qin family had also made some kind of deal with Shan Song?

They really are traitors; now they're even helping outsiders deal with the Zhou family.

Zhou Muyuan continued searching for the person with these feelings, and just then he bumped into Shan Song, who was openly coming out of the lounge with a long face. Before Zhou Muyuan could angrily speak, Shan Song ignored him and left through the main exit.

This reaction left Zhou Muyuan speechless, his emotions caught in a limbo. He frowned and grabbed Shan Song, saying, "Are you crazy?! The banquet isn't over yet, where are you going to die?!"

Dan Song chuckled, a forced smile on his face as he looked at Zhou Muyuan's distorted expression: "Marriage? Let your good son marry this scumbag. He's been coveting her for a long time anyway. You can hand over your Zhou family to your precious son in its entirety, Father."

With that, he turned and left.

Zhou Muyuan's temples bulged with veins, and he couldn't help but shout, "If you've got the guts, then don't come back!"

After yelling, he gasped for breath a few times, still feeling his anger rising. But as he watched Shan Song leave without the slightest hesitation, he suddenly came to his senses: No, this person can't leave today!

Zhou Muyuan immediately ordered the bodyguards at the door to stop the person. Then, thinking about the look on his face when he came out of the lounge, he frowned and pushed open the lounge door.

A few faint sobs could be heard from inside, along with the scent of pheromones.

Could Shan Song have forced someone's omega into marriage?

With that thought in mind, Zhou Muyuan entered the lounge.

It's Tong Zhao.

He breathed a sigh of relief. At least he was married now, and even if marking the marriage now might not be the most respectable thing to do, it was still easier to handle than involving other families.

Moreover, it seems this child was previously forced by Dan Song...

Zhou Muyuan lowered his eyes and pondered for a moment, then made up his mind.

Tong Zhao seemed to notice the newcomer as well. Her sobs subsided, and she choked out as she looked up, "Father, why have you come?"

"What happened between you and Shan Song? Did this kid bully you? Didn't I tell you before that if you have any difficulties, you can tell your father, and your father will help you solve them if he can?" Zhou Muyuan said in a low voice with a fake smile on his face.

Tong Zhao paused for a moment, then gave a bitter smile: "Thank you, Father, we're alright."

Zhou Muyuan frowned, looking disapproving, but his eyes held a probing look: "That's where you're wrong. There are problems that can't be solved by talking them out. Shan Song is the same; he just said he wouldn't get married. Is today's occasion a time for him to back out so easily?"

Sure enough, upon hearing this, Tong Zhao's face paled even more, and her lips trembled: "He said he's not getting married?"

"I can't not get married, I can't not get married... Father, please help me, I can't not marry him." Tong Zhao muttered to himself, as if he was terrified, yet also as if he had grasped at a lifeline: "Father, I have to marry Shan Song, I beg you to help me."

Zhou Muyuan narrowed his eyes: "Child, tell me slowly, why do you insist on marrying Shan Song?"

“He has to mark me. My older brother told him to mark me, so I have to do as he says.”

Why should we label it?

"I don't know... I just have to obey his orders..."

“Just now… just now Shan Song suddenly refused, he looked down on me…” Tong Zhao couldn’t catch her breath, and tears streamed down her face again: “I really didn’t do those things, Father, please help me explain to Shan Song, I can’t be sent back to the Qin family, please.”

Tong Zhao was about to kneel down as she spoke.

Zhou Muyuan quickly bent down to support him, his gaze sweeping over the back of his neck. It turned out he hadn't been marked yet, but his hand... Zhou Muyuan frowned.

Tong Zhao's half-kneeling posture with his hand outstretched revealed the scars on his arm. Perhaps due to his thin skin, they had turned slightly bluish-purple, looking quite alarming.

What just happened? Zhou Muyuan pondered for a moment, then helped Tong Zhao up and pretended to comfort him, promising to help calm Shan Song down. Only then did he manage to calm Tong Zhao down.

"I'll go ask Shan Song. You... you shouldn't go out like this anymore. I'll send someone to take you back in a bit."

"Thank you, Father." Tong Zhao wiped away her tears and hesitated, then asked, "...Could you take me back to where Shan Song lives?"

Zhou Muyuan's gaze was complicated. He nodded, turned around, and left.

The Qin family clearly had ulterior motives, but this illegitimate son is rather foolish; perhaps we can use him in the future.

After Zhou Muyuan left, he quickly found out what had happened at the banquet and naturally understood why Shan Song had stormed off.

Meanwhile, Shan Song was being held down in the lounge by his bodyguards.

Zhou Muyuan thought for a moment. Shan Song might not have deep feelings for Tong Zhao. He had previously used this illegitimate child to exchange for his mother's belongings. This time, he would probably do the same thing. He was just a dog begging for food. Giving him a little more sweetness would be enough.

The original plan was to have him return to the company after the wedding, but Shan Song is not being honest these days, and he is also unaware of the Qin family's true intentions.

The good thing is that, judging from Tong Zhao's attitude just now, Shan Song may not have agreed to the Qin family's demands yet. In that case, it wouldn't be a problem for him to return to the company in the short term.

Moreover, Zhou Xinlin's recent investment returns have been quite good. At this rate, all we need to do is wait for Shan Song to teach Zhou Xinlin a lesson and then find some excuse to kick him out.

After figuring things out, Zhou Muyuan pushed open the door and entered.
